My band played this for our Halloween Concert. We faked some lightning at the beginning and turned off the lights to simulate a power outage, and we used phones/headlights to read our music. It was really awesome and the audience loved it. We had a blast playing it too. I recommend it for anyone, it's a great piece.

Listening to this 5 years after playing it, I miss playing this piece so much because of how much emotion my band directors told us to put into it, the piece is absolutely wonderful and thank you Mr. and Mrs. Meeks. RIP Mr. Meeks, I miss you sir, thank you both for teaching us this piece and showing us that we have so much more potential than we've ever had.

4:10 I have been working on this by myself as a flute player and I find this to be the hardest part of the entire thing for me. The rest I can play with ease but its just this part that gets me.
