When our daughter and I were given a free flight to visit friends on a break in her chemo, the stewards set up a "contest" during the flight and at the end of the flight made sure to pick her name as the winner. Make A Wish is also a wonderful positive help during those times.
@2012inca2 жыл бұрын
Oh that is nice of those stewards to do that. Make a Wish is a good foundation that operates in more countries. I read yesterday that someone spend 4.8 billion dollar on a super yacht he only use a couple of times a year. If you have that much money why dont they help people and children in need and children with make a wish dreams. So much beautiful things can be done with that money instead of buying a yacht with 10.000 kilo's of gold in the interior.

Hi Major, appreciate you being open here in the comments. Life is hard and unfair, even when it seems like it is easy for some people. You might have a goal in mind, maybe where you want to settle or who you want to be, but know that the journey is part of the goal, you can't get to the end without starting and making it to the end. I don't know if Major or Tom is in your actual name, but I have a friend who is actually named Major and I love calling him Colonel since it is a higher officer rank in the US Army because I tell him: to other people, you are just Major, you are just another friend, but to me, you are promoted, you are my best friend, and capable of greater things than you think. He is my good friend, my homie. I can say that this is true for everyone: capable of greater things, and you, Major Tom, have so much potential, it is all within yourself. I hope you understand the ways your experiences affect you and that you seek to be better, to overcome, to grow. That can look like changing how you think, or what you tell yourself, or hanging around a different kind of people, or seeking help, online or professional. You are not alone. Have confidence in yourself. You can make it through. Have a blessed week.

After nearly killing myself in a bicycle crash when I was 6-7, decades before the idea of helmets, I pay close attention to kids on bikes. I live on a hill and one of my sons friends went flying down the hill when I noticed one of his tires was low on air, I told him to bring his bike in the garage so I could fill it up for him when I notice several nuts were about to fall off, one of them being his front wheel. I also noticed his brakes were hardly working so I decided to just go through and maintenance his entire bike. A WARNING to parents please don’t buy bikes from Target, WalMart, etc they are assembled by non-bike mechanics and I always wonder how many kids are seriously injured or killed and brushed off as a bike wreck. I make it a point to go back to the bikes at our local Target to see if bikes have been assembled incorrectly and I’d say 75% of the time I can find not installed correctly. I’ve seen forks installed backwards, brake and shift cables installed wrong causing them to be pinched, axle nuts finger tight, stem installed backwards etc , and when I see this I always tell a mngr to check the bikes which I’m sure they don’t. I’ve even thought of contacting our local news to do a story on these improperly built bikes, I bet there’s several families that have had a child seriously injured.

The young employees, on minimum wage don't want to tell their manager that they don't know how to put a bike together.
