As someone who grew up with the Bay films starting as a 5 year old in 2007, I am extremely excited for this. My favorite TF universe and most of my interest in Transformers is in BayVerse.

As someone who grew up on G1 and remembers the day the very first episode aired in Fall of 1984....I like the majority of the Bay films as well. Transformers 2007 (obviously), Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction I think are just a blast and look amazing. It's Revenge of the Fallen and The Last Knight that I don't care for. Imagine how special these movies are to people who talked about this stuff on the playground with their buddies at school. And being a little disappointed that the movie they were about to release in 1986 was just the cartoon series on steroids and mescaline (I mean that in a positive way lol) and wasn't going to be live action. Nobody knew what CGI was back then. I remember telling my friends that a real, live action Transformers movie was likely impossible because how do you even approach achieving the visuals it would require. To 2000s kids, they saw a cool movie with great special effects. To kids of the 1980s we saw something that we had just accepted as being impossible. I don't think anyone born after the 80s can quite understand the feelings. Hearing Peter Cullen's Optimus Prime voice coming out of an Optimus that looks REAL in a real movie is positively magical..

Dude the the bayformers movies were the first real transformers movies of my time. I was 11 when TF1 came out, and I was hooked. To this day, one of my favorite series. They could have made one more film and wrapped it up nicely, the plot lines are all there already. I'm so sad an official title will never be released

One major knee jerker for all fans of any franchise is the cliffhangers that never see a conclusion. And the fact that the videogames just zipped up and dropped off of the face of the Earth due to Hasbro and Activision going their separate ways and Hasbro not signing new contracts with different companies to bring them back. It is nice to see we will have a conclusion to the Bayverse Transformers even though we won't be able to play it on PC or Consoles. Granted, a lot of the games didn't follow the movies, but hear me out; we were all looking forward to the WFC series to finally be played on Earth with G1 designs battling it out and following that story line to the end. Thank you to the fans working on TRoU, I'm looking forward to seeing it!

I dont see the reason why we need a civil war between the 2 facettes of the TF community I enjoy both continuities , canons for their equally independent and desirable reasons The gen 1 style from rise of the beasts , is a fresh take of it which i find interesting from a story telling standpoint, aswell as character developement And the bay fills were liturally ***relatable*** and ***awsome to look at***, which sometimes its all you need from an action movie , as it gave this awe and wow factor ( even when done in excess )

I would like a shattered glass movie that takes place in the new continuity, but the alternate realty isn’t an evil autobots and decepticons, but the bayverse characters. And it would continue the original bayverse by having those characters escape to a new universe after it was destroyed by Unicron. The old characters and the new characters would fight in the beginning but ultimately cast aside their differences to defeat Unicron.

I really hope this fan film touches on the lives of the cybertronians living on earth. Perhaps my biggest pet peeve with the Last Knight was how it established that some autobots and Decepticons are living in peace under cover, but the film didn’t show us much how that looked. I found the concept of Autobots and Decepticons putting the war aside and trying to integrate into human society to survive after the world’s governments started hunting them all indiscriminately very interesting. But all we got was Topspin living with Simmons, Dreadbot robbing banks, Canopy protecting Izabella, Daytrader finding opportunity as a traveling merchant, and the bots that live under Cade’s protection, who all got like one minute of screen time each. Something super interesting that I always thought would be perfect for a sequel would be the Autobots and Decepticons finally burying the hatchet permanently and joining forces to stop Unicron to save their new mutual home that they had finally become accustomed to. I hope we see something like that in this fan film.

That's quite incredible, for a fan base to manage to make a live action continuity on their own! And I do trust that, no matter how good the cgi will look like, the transformers characters will for sure will be more profound and g1 like. This is something the Michael Bay movies lacked quite a lot, for only a few characters actually had enough story shown, and would often be eliminated before much was actually done with them (irohide, ratchet, starscream and of course, poor jazz).

I will continue to say that Bumblebee takes place in a universe where the Maximals and Predacons have come back in time to prevent the rise of Unicron in the BayVerse timeline. Its already stated that the Terrorcons are servants of Unicron. Throw in Hasbro's need to unify new incarnations of previously existing characters (Transformers 07 and its direct connections with Transformers Animated comes to mind). You have the Maximals and Predacons going back in time to prevent the rise of Unicron in the War For Cybertron animated series. While there are indeed theories that Scourge and Battletrap are two characters that could be terrorcon incarnations of Bayverse Bumblebee and Optimus, I feel like this theory already has a lot of weight without the character speculation. Regardless, we have a new timeline and the Maximals/Predacons have something to do with it.

there were many things wrong with the bay franchise and i wish they would have spent more time on the bots characters rather then the humans but the one thing i really loved was that bay at least made the bots alien looking in their looks but also their behavior instead of them acting like humans, they are alien robots they wouldnt look like earth cars right from the get-go and wouldnt act like humans they would have their own customs and ways they interact, and he made them more realistic in their wartorn behavior instead of always happy go lucky as if thousands of years of war hadnt gotten to them on some levels, the bumblebee movie did a really god job at giving both bumblebee and charlie the right amount of screen time together and character development and i like that they tried to keep the bots slightly alien still even tho they more resemble the G1 bots they at least kept bumblebee really close to bays version, i never liked his G1 appearance more so then any other bot, and yes i am very excited to hear there will be a fanmade transformers 6 im always happy for more quality transformers content :)

Jesus Christ, just reading the comments tells me how divided the community is smh. Even another comment pointed this out. Everybody is trashing out on the bayverse and going g1 everything, like fr yall need to lay off and stop pissing on stuff at unnecessarily high extents. Me personally, I didn’t like AOE or TLK but god damn were the first 3 Bayformers a dream I was lucky enough to live. It hurts seeing everybody get all pissy pissy booboo because it wasn’t something they wanted. Who cares about what you want? Unless it’s directly going to effect the course of something, back off. Bay wanted something different from the traditional, typical, Transformers media. And he delivered perfectly. I don’t care what you have to say about characters having horrible designs or having no character development (Note, that that kind of CGI for that era of time is expensive as FUCK so there isn’t any reason for yall to be shitting on something that took way more money and way more time than practically most other Transformers series), or how bad the plot is or how unrelatable the characters are. Hell, I don’t care if Optimus isn’t some super nobel godfather truck driving grandpa in the Bayverse. It’s the action, the details, the suspense, everything that makes me love the Bayverse and with everyone shitting on it for its downsides and not acknowledging its good sides really provides the perfect impression I get from a lot of yall. Transformer community needs to fix its shit, I’m tired of everyone arguing over this and that and this and that, like cmon.

Yeah people tend to forget that Michael Bay was the 1 who showed that it was possible to bring these robots to life on the big screen. They may not be everyone's cup of tea but they're the reason why we have live action TF films.

I totally agree but I also feel that the G1 purists need to learn that things can’t always stay the same. Try watching a show or movie franchise that’s just rehashing itself over and over again. It’s not fun. A shift away from the animated shows was just what the TF franchise needed to give it a bit of a reboot. And I personally felt that the more realistic character designs and different stories that expanded the lore of the franchise were amazing. The live action films were meant to showcase the Transformers in a new way. They did exactly that.

I remember reading rumors that the Terrorcons in RotB ARE the Bayverse Transformers reformatted by Unicron from that universe and that Scourge is Bayverse Optimus. Which would make a lot of sense as to why the producers have tip-toed around the reboot/sequel controversy. I like the idea of this but it's just rumors/theories.
