@@RANDOMFIX Yes ! I need a new battery for my campervan. The old heavy PB Battery is verry quickly under 11.5V when i turn on a big load (coocking or boiling water). My system is a 12V 440Ah. The new one 2x 280Ah 12,8V Lifepo4. I Hope this make me Happy for long years :)

After Spamming connect managed to connect and it connected went to bms settings where some of the values were not set fixed them saved it and then connecting didnt ask for any pass.This happens when u accidently try to change some of the parameters but it doesnt apply them .

Question: On the main screen where you see the individual cells, what does it mean during charging when one of those goes red? I know there is a "b" that lights up, which I assume means balancing, but I'm not sure what it means when the little bar goes from yellow to red. Is it overcharging or what's going on?

That means that cell is not within the limits of the balancer. The balancer on the units I very small. Get yourself a better balancer, check video links, you can keep your BMS and just add that.

Thanks for the Tutorial! My BMS was disconnecting at just under 12v. I downloaded the parameter settings and changed the battery capacity to 400Ah for my application. I'm currently doing a slow discharge and will see if it now gets below 11 (should be 10.5v I think) before shutting off.

Thank you for your presentation. For my battery with BMS JBD 4S/ 200A I’ve installed xiaxiang APP professional version 3.1.1026. The APP does open and works quite well on my first android mobile. The same apk file uploaded to my second android mobile does not work. Starting the APP it starts running, shows “the device can be connected” but doesn’t open the APP screen. At the time I start the second mobile, the first mobile is signed out and BT is switched off. It’d be grateful to get some hints and tips to get it fixed. Android SW version is #12 and #11, thus fairly up to date Thank you!

Volts x amps = wards. It displays the amps and volts so the rest is easy. I don’t remember an actual wattage readout.

Thank you for doing this, you did confirm what the capacity reset does. I do not know why the dashboard screen does not fit properly on my android phone screen. Is there an adjustment somewhere? For example the "Voltage diff" - I can only see those wordes not the number below, same for , Range, Power, Remaining... Thanks!

The android application has lots of issue with the display. I would suggest change the font to something smaller. The app on apple is optimized.

You glossed over the Voltage Uniformity Score. I have two 12v 206ah LiFepo4 batteries connected in parallel to form a 416 ah 12v bank for my RV. Both batteries have a 200ah JBD BMSs. The cells were bottom balanced at the factory and I top balanced them at home with a bench power supply before I assembled the final packs. The cells in each battery are nearly perfectly balanced-usually .001-.002 variance between the cells. One battery shows Voltage Uniformity Score at 93 and the other is 14. I can't see any difference between them at all. Do you know why this would happen?

@@RANDOMFIX I did of sorts. I decided to break the two batteries down and build one battery with the 8 cells to form a 12v 4S2P battery pack with only one BMS. Two cells in parallel to form 4- 412 ah cells and then series connect 4 paired cells to form the 412ah 12v battery. I rebalanced them before I put the cells together. So now in the second year of use, the cells are.000-.002 apart. Essentially perfect balance. My voltage uniformity score varies in the 91-99% range. I still have no idea what that means, but it seems stable and the battery works perfectly. The positive side in the build was there is much more simplicity inside the box. One BMS. Less cabling. Much cleaner in the box. When charging with my solar PV's system on my camper, the cells do fall out of balance as they approach 100% charge. As soon as charging stops, they equalize back to .000-002 balance. I am calling it good. Would still like JBD to put out some information on the Voltage Uniformity Score. At least describe what it is and what the numbers mean.

Hello i have a problem, after changing a undervoltage parameter from 3V to 2.8V and saving it (it saved all ~53 parameters at once) i have now a problem with Overcurrent Protection, where there is no wny overcurrent problems in my hardware. Battery is glued now so i cant unplug bms easly.

Ok i repaired that. Have to use Overkill Solar app, i had two same BMS so i readed an working one config file in that app and flashed onto broken one. If you have only one then backup first via this app. Cheers.

Is it possible to buy the LiFePo4 Version and change all the parameters over to Li-Ion Version using the preset funktion in the android app via bluetooth? I have 200a relay jbd bms. I found out that on function page there is a button called switch. If enabled you need to wire a switch to turn on bms and discharge button is disabled in the app

I also had issue with unlock it called protect on main screen which means it is locked You have to play with Driver mode and Monitor mode to get to unlock also toggle discharge and charge buttons to get it to start charging

Yes, as you can over charge the battery. It also be security message. I never had any issue.

Thanks. I've been able to get this app before but your link makes it easier. Other apps wont let you make changes. The most important is being able to set maximum cell voltage to 3.65 and to reset the amp hour reading wich tends to drift over time.

I've charger connected. Shows 15 amps going in but it's not charging past 228.89Ah capacity and 13.6V. Why? Battery is lifepo4 230Ah. It is my first charge. Cells are perfectly balanced (diff 0.002).

I have a smart JBD BMS 200A version connected to my 48V 280Ah battery and I’m using the app with IOS. I have issues with the BMS and am in discussion with the vendor in china. He claims that the BMS cannot function with over voltage protection below 3,7V per cell …. Have you experienced any issues with lowering this value to 3,5V. I think this is what your settings were… Thx for some feedback.

I reduced mine from 3.75 to 3.65. You might have to reduce the overvoltage release to 3.55 first. The stock setting for overvoltage is 3.65 I believe

@@LibertyDIY I threw out the JBD BMS as it is crap and impossible to make it work on a solar system. Whatever the seller or manufacturer advice me to modify in the settings the relay continues to turn on-off every second. I replaced it with a JK BMS and all worked fine since first power up. JBD is crap and I wouldn’t advice anyone!

Are you using the secondary BMS as well? I should it in the video. You have to bench balance these packs and I just left the balancing on. The main BMS has very small balancer. That’s why I recommended the 2nd balancing BMS.

How or by which condition the heating port works? I have the "older" version JBD SP04S034 smart BMS WITH heating port. Connected heating films. NO HEATING IS GENERATED at any temperature values settings. However, before connecting the heating films to the BMS I tested the films connected directly to the battery and they work ok: heat-up very nice. So I wonder when the heating port of the BMS receives the "-" ? Contacted the aliexpress official store - replied me with the description of how to connect the heating films))) while I do know and already connected all as it should and tested all - heating does not work. Then the seller became silent, my questions marked as "read" while no reply made.

I used a different system and I would look at external style temperature switch they are about 12 dollars for 2. Much easier for me.

Hi I enjoyed your video. I have a problem in that my JBD BMS no longer shows current going in or out, it also is showing the voltage 1V higher than it actually is. Everything used to work fine until I fiddled around with the settings. I'm using the 24V 8 cell version, I have tried your settings and still no luck, any suggestions please.

I wish I had better guidance for you but I only use the 4s 12 configuration and so I would just be guessing. I would copy the setting from the overkill solar bms and just double the voltages. I hope that helps. Please keep me in the loop on what you find as we can all learn.
