Yay Block B! The important thing to remember about Block B is that they are not one trick ponies. They have these big insane songs and they have fantastic ballads, fun songs and serious songs as well. They all sing including the rappers and Taeil is a fantastic vocalist. Zico wrote and produced most of their music with his musical collaborator Pop Time (hence the mention in the introduction). Kyung also wrote and produced a couple of their songs (the rapper chasing the chicken). Please keep doing Block B 🙏 The songs you need to check out are Very Good, Be The Light, Her, Toy, Yesterday, Nalina, Jackpot and Don't Leave.

thats cool! I think it seems like ZICO is a talented guy for sure! but they all kinda seem a cut above even on first introduction

Zico and Block B left Poptime after the CEO ran off with all their money and that’s how 7 Seasons (now KQ Entertainment) got started 😅 Their music was a lot better once Poptime were out of the picture. Totally agree with the recommendations - Be The Light is best live, Taeil always nails it.

@jennfox7529 Zico is still working with Pop Time to this day. Pop Time is a composer/producer. He's in the credits of most of Zico's music. Block B's original label was Stardom Entertainment. When they left Stardom, Pop Time and Zico kept working together.

Block B🤩they recently had a reunion on TV after 6 years and announced a comeback for next year (more like the maknae just said it to get it going without any plans lol I still hope for one). Their music is great. My favorite title track is a tie between this song, Her, and Be the Light. Idk if you recall my suggestion on seeing the collaboration performance "Western Sky" with B1A4's Sandeul and SHINee's Onew with 2 other singers. One of those 2 singers was actually Block B's main vocalist Taeil. So, funny timing for you to discover Block B!

ohh yeah, I do! vaguely, I am so glad that Randomizer was so adventurous that day lol, I almost chose Her instead, I am glad they reunited! I know ZICO has been rather successful with his solo career

Ateez covered this song? I almost picked Her over this, I bet both are awesome though

Yay! Block B! I've been dying to know how you'd react to them because they are pretty rap heavy and I love it. I'm not too familiar with their discography yet but I've been a casual fan for awhile. P.O (blond, deep voiced rapper is an actor and I totally fell for Zico (in the dreads) when he did a reality show with Kyungsoo a year or two ago. Zico also has his own label now under Hybe and he signed BoyNextDoor. I think they were very popular but P.O joked that they could never win an award because EXO took them all.

sometimes I am shocked with some of the groups I've missed, those dreads are kind of awful lol! like mullet dread lol I bet ZICO and Kyungsoo make one hell of a duo lol!
@kristenblack6026Ай бұрын
@ It’s the idol friendship you wouldn’t expect. If you’re interested, the show was called No Math School Trip. Thankfully the dreads are no more. 😆

Ugh I loved this along with several other Block B mvs so much as to verge on being obsessive.

@ Uh-huh! Some of their mvs are (to me) esp incredibly entertaining.

I'd be so down to watch you react to more Block B, they've got a great range of music/mvs, and they're great as solo artists as well!

I know ZICO as a solo artist, but I really do need to check out more of their stuff for sure!

Yes thanks again to the Randomizer hahaha we get Block B, yes I mentioned before their rappers Zico and P.O are rather brill and they have a singer Taeil who I think is so underrated, he has a GREAT voice but they probably more hip-hop based. Love their song HER, love B Good, and Shall We Dance is just that one!!!!
@Killdeer25Ай бұрын
I almost chose HER, I have heard of ZICO he had a huge hit this year right? I cant speak on the others
@letstalkk-pop4755Ай бұрын
Another example of past Kpop bringing you out of reality! Honestly, this kind of song wouldn't even come to fruition in American pop music back in 2012. Only artists/groups that are ambitious and "out there" would think of making a song like Nillili Mambo.
@Killdeer25Ай бұрын
I dont think it would be able to come to fruition even today in anywhere sadly

Oh man I miss early 3rd gen music. Really I'd consider this more 2.5 gen. It just hits that unique sound that was so good. Reasons Zico may sound familiar- he collabed on Epik High's Rosario with CL. He also released a song earlier this year with Blackpink's Jennie called Spot! which was really successful. He also released Any Song in 2020 which basically started the whole "dance challenge" craze in kpop that we know today. Block B was very popular. I've heard multiple times that they had the most "fan boys" only behind BIGBANG.
@Killdeer2528 күн бұрын
I think that it must've been with the song with Jennie, I remember he was kinda everywhere, really? Big Bang popular? that is wild! I never knew
@CaseyK-kz3wj28 күн бұрын
@@Killdeer25 Not necessarily Bigbang popular, but they had some of the most fanboys, which is one measure of popularity in kpop.

Block B are up there with B.A.P , VIXX , EXO there really good and a bit different plus they have Zico one of the best rappers in kpop love there stuff . On a different note would love you to take a look at 2PM one day as you like good vocals and those guys can sing
@Killdeer25Ай бұрын
I have thought about doing 2PM recently, I just learned about them lol! they were that big? or that successful? or both?
@joannafisher3391Ай бұрын
@@Killdeer25 Yes there both big and successful I wasn’t a fan of there first few tracks but as they went on they just got better and better. They are known as the original beast idols grown up man and grown up themes in their music . A lot like Monsta X but not as rap heavy but sexy . As individuals they all have solo careers and are all very talented actors having lots of k dramas and films under there belt . My favourite singer is Junho he’s one of the youngest and also Jun-k but there all really good so yes I hope you give them a go and also as they contributed so much to JYP he thanked them by making them directors of the company .
