I love that I'm only 2 days older than this game that has defined my childhood and frankly, my generation.

PS: Throughout this series I'm gonna try to avoid discussing the controversial things Notch said a few years back, as this was long before that happened, and he genuinely did not seem to hold those opinions during Minecraft's Development. However it's kind of an elephant in the room so it's hard to ignore completely. If HoM is successful I will eventually talk about it in detail. But in the meantime I just hope he can or has moved on from getting lost in the dumb 4chan / Gamergate stuff and has found a new passion for indie game development Also you can't say "first" on my videos I'm always the first person to comment on them >:)

It was really sad to see him fall prey to that rhetoric. Seems like the isolation he was experiencing at the time was only pushing him more and more into that headspace. Wealth that someone doesn't know what to do with can be a real curse.

really hoping to delve more into the actual gameplay for the Classic video, there's definitely a reason there was a fairly large Classic playerbase even up until 2014-15 when mojang shut down the official servers.

You absolutely blew me away with the quality! The video also kept my attention. The 25 minutes felt like a few minutes without it being hyperactive (which honestly gives the opposite effect for me). Worth the wait!

It's kind of funny how similar Notch was during this time, like me and a few others I know. They have ideas or skills to make something cool but need to gain skills in other fields to make it happen. The Birth of Minecraft Is undoubtedly inspiring for Young Indie Developers. Also, speaking of Inspiring indie games, when they were naming the game and shouting "Cavebuilder, Cavecraft, Legend of Cave," I badly wanted to shout "CAVE STORY!!" XD

Really nice in-depth vid 👍 Imo the editing is a bit chaotic at times, I'd rather prefer seeing longer clips of the actual versions we are talking about than the modern mc clips, but get it's difficult when these versions were barely even released :D
@RandomSageless3 ай бұрын
I do get very bad tunnel vision while editing, which definitely does significantly increase the time it takes to finish these videos, worry too much about people being completely engaged for every single second, even though most probably just have it on in the background lmao. I've been better and worse about it, will try my best to make the editing less hectic next couple videos.

@RandomSageless3 ай бұрын
I've been trying to only use music C418 had created before or around the time of the events in the video. Life Changing Moments is a bittt of a stetch, but some of those tracks were made or inspired from C418's time on IRCs, so i thought it was fitting enough

@RandomSageless28 күн бұрын
It was just a gag for the video. However if I remember correctly: In the actual logs Notch thought his computer crashed after disconnecting from the IRC, but Jrsquee mentioned later that the neighbors internet reset. (He was leeching off it lol)
@skuffy493028 күн бұрын
Oh, that is hilarious. "Honey, the neighbor is mooching on our Wifi-internet signal again! Reset it, I want to see something happen today!"
