Randy Newman - Feels Like Home (Interview & Performance)

I saw Randy on a BBC programme around 1978 (when we finally got colour tv!) and instantly knew he was one of the greats. (Same with Joni, Neil Young, etc) It's nearly 2022 now and he's still at the summit - a consummate writer of sublime melodies with a unique delivery. But oh! the poignancy of some of his lines! What an artist, what a man! I am indebted to him for some great moments in my life.

21 years ago "Feels Like Home" became the first song my wife and I danced to at our wedding. I sang it to her - not as well as Bonnie Raitt - as we danced. Thank you Mr. Newman for a wonderful song and a wonderful memory.

This beautiful song will live forever. It is a masterpiece. Both in melody and in lyric it is stunning. I first heard the version by Diana Krall and Bryan Adams and my heart was broken. I have now heard all the versions. I can't stop playing it. Dig deep, Randy. You've got more of these.
