You're the most underrated DJ gear reviewer on KZbin. You manage to tell us more about the gear and it's unique functions while keeping my interest better than any other channel. The Performer isn't for me, mainly because I'm not into Serato, but I like keeping aware of gear and this is my go to now.

Makes me wonder why Denon never pulled the trigger on an LC6000M. That would’ve been a perfect complement to this controller if you wanted to utilize a 3 and/or fourth deck.

USB-C is the worse for DJ utilities as far as connecting FROM the unit to anything (ask me how I know). Rane must’ve gotten that memo lol. Perhaps in the future I’d hope they could add the C to read a drive or even a regular usb to read a drive and not need a laptop 🤷🏽‍♂️

Good morning. When applying the sticker on the platter, is the goal to line the sticker up with one of the 'notches' and, if so, which one? The notch, or white marking, at 12 o'clock or the notch at 2 o'clock? Or does it simply not matter where I place it? Thanks in advance!! I was wondering if those were landmarks one could use when applying the sticker to the platter. Thanks .

I don't see much difference than my NS7 2. Other than stems and vocal drop outs. I'll wait til the next upgrade. I still see my NS7 2 in that controller.Just My opinion.

I liked it but ended up taking it back because it was no good with tempo lock on at all even with the pitch and time add on. Very wobbly and jumping by key where as 5 year old dvs in rekordbox wouldn't do such things - of course the pitch will move with the speed with motorised as it should but with Tempo lock on it should hold for as long as possible, as soon as you touch the side of the platters on the Rane Performer with Serato it jumps down by 2 keys, for example unless you take Tempo Lock off. Virtual dj was a bit better but would have cost 100s more so I couldn't justify it. I also thought that the beatgrids on the lcds were a bit naff, any tracks with different bpms wouldn't line up at all once beatmatched - but would on the computer although this wasnt a big deal I was just gutted that I couldnt do any mixing with tempo lock on. I also tried the Rev7 and it was a lot better for this. Aside that, it was amazing. Especially the build quality. Stem split was good. Scratching on this was loads of fun also, I just had to take it back because I like Tempo lock feature and it's very bad on this. Hopefully Serato look into it as all they told me was "use the pitch and time add on" which I did. I made a video to show what I mean but made it private as I don't want to shit on something new when all it needs is software updates in the future to sort it, but this is my opinion and I took it back today sadly and will be looking to get the new Pioneer AZ next year more than likely. I just hope rekordbox can sort out the stems quality 🙏

This Controller is nothing more than a downgrade from the Numark NS7iii .... For those of you that dont know Rane ,Akia , Numark are the same folks...here is proof............Numark v7 was replaced by Rane 12........................... There is only 3 things this controller has that the NS7iii doesn't have .... 1. Split channel for the stems 2. Digital screen for the effects 3. dual USB ports ................... Now lets talk about The Beast That Numark created That was far before it's time .. . ...... NS7iii has a lot of things Rane ,Pioneer , and of controller cant do here are just 3 ........1. has 5 dedicated cue buttons for deck A&B (In which I can still control my stems ,loops ,samples and cues at the same time) ..2. I can use all 6 different effect on one channel........ 3.knob touch Effects and Kills ............... I got 43 years in this DJ game ........... New isn't always good ......... This is a Great Controller But it's not the best ..............
