just a quick note of thanks, I've not long placed an order for a sportline coupe, with West End in Edinburgh, and your videos were among the better to answer all the real world questions for those new to the world of pure ev

Another great video and I have enjoyed following you on all your Enyaq Gorm videos. I purchased my first Enyaq also a 60 after watching your videos over 2 years ago and never looked back. Looking forward to your next venture with the Enyaq 85 so keep posting your videos and best of luck with the new car.

I've had my 60 for just over a year now and still finding it an enjoyable drive. Had to use a public charger for the first time recently due to a weird blip with the home charger. There were a number of chargers available in Bangor Co Down but I choose BP Pulse as they were the fastest option. I only need to add 30 miles to get home so it took 15 mins, enough time to go to the bathroom and get some coffee, to add enough miles to get me home. Expensive but painless. Just had the over air update and my efficency seems to have improved. Wasn't expecting this at all. Anyway, best wishes for the new car and looking forward to more videos in due course.

Another informative video. I look forward to your next venture. My own "Enyaq Gorm" has improved in efficiency since the last software update but it has never been as good as yours, probably down to the 21" wheel/tyre combo I have added to a relatively short - and often speedy - commute. That said, I did try very hard recently and approached 4.0 miles/kW so happy enough with that. I am keeping the car for perhaps another year or so, it's really a no-brainer unless something goes horribly wrong (hopefully not tempting fate here!). I think the less than radical style of the car along with the spot-on interior are winning features and have kept the Enyaq more current (lol) than some which have challenging learning curves. I will find it hard to replace when the time comes.

The best spot south of Tebay is Porsche Carnforth - the motorway services are somewhat lacking functional high speed chargers until you get down to Manchester. I am averaging 5-5.6 miles per kWh currently on the iV80 Sportline without really trying too hard on journeys of about 120 miles round on mixed roads (town, trunk and motorway routes) PS, those TEBAY chargers are rammed during the holidays, at weekends and on Fridays and Mondays - usually with people who cannot be bothered to find a non EV space... last time we dropped in all spots were occupied but only 3 of them with EV's !

Only trouble with porsche is that outside business hours there's no toilet and also there's nowhere to get food there. Handy if you want a new car though.

Another good video. I did a little trip out to Ayr last week , we averaged 4.7mile per KWH over the 80 miles . I think we left home on 96% and got back on 62% , £1.30 ? for a day at the coast !

Brilliant as always Domhall. All the best with the new car! One thing I am interested in is ABRP using real time battery stats. Could you explain how you have done that?
@enyaq_gorm
@enyaq_gorm 5 ай бұрын
It's just the obd adapter. I'm sure I've shown that in previous videos.

Mixed emotions perhaps about changing the 60 as it has been a good car but the 85 probably a step up just by the range it offers , i use an ID5 and the overall distance in range makes a difference to worrying about charging stops and i am secure in knowing that i will not be stressed about my distance travelled ,enjoy your new car

I've honestly never been stressed. The Scottish Government network is nearly everywhere so it's never been an issue. The only reason for getting the 85 is to get the new software.

Do you mount your phone to the back of the touchscreen, and if so, how?
@enyaq_gorm
@enyaq_gorm 6 ай бұрын
Using a mount which attaches by suction top the back of the screen. It's made by miracase

Hi, what phone dock are you using pal? Enjoying the videos... also... whilst I remember... since you are a ABRP fan... if you use OBD, will it engage battery conditioning before you arrive at a charger?
@enyaq_gorm
@enyaq_gorm 6 ай бұрын
It's a miracase holder. Abrp doesn't trigger pre conditioning sadly

Anyone had the ME3.0 to 3.7 dealership software update? Has it knackered your off-car scheduled charging? Or any sort of delayed changing? If I plug the car in now, and charging is delayed for a time, the car goes to sleep and doesn't wake up when the home charger tries to supply power. The charger make appears to be irrelevant.

I had mine updated a few weeks ago too and I think I am having the same problem (using Ohme Home Pro and Intelligent Octopus Go) - once came out in the morning and the car just hadn't charged - thankfully wasn't "mission critical" - but I noticed the other day when I had plugged it in a few hours before a charge was due to start that it then did not. A quick unlock and lock of the car triggered it to start charging. Didn't have to do that before. I will keep a watch next time I am charging.
