About a decade ago, Ted Blocker (the REAL "original Miami Vice holster" maker, discounting the Bianchi in the pilot episode) still had a pair of Brens in 45 ACP originally sent to him to form the holsters. Interestingly they had the lugs ground off the barrels (blank conversion?)

Wow! That is really interesting.

Fun Fact: The Bren Ten used by Don Johnson on Miami Vice despite in universe being in 10mm Auto, was actually chambered in .45 ACP because of the need for blanks and blank firing and the fact that as a brand new cartridge, there were not any 10mm Auto blanks at all, much less in any film armories.

That's what I have heard.

Okay if its doing that with throwing cases at you, it needs a new recoil spring as its slamming back too fast for the extractor to properly eject it to the side, like an 11.5 or a 12 pound spring, as you might get lucky and find a CZ 97 spring works for it, or something with a similar length spring to the original as they do make some 5 inch barreled CZ clones now in .45 and your magazines need new springs and or followers if its causing the slide to close, try and find some EAA witness or Tangofolio mags that match the profile and use those also not gonna lie the extractor looks off, like it looks almost like someones bent it, which given the finish on the thing is non standard, theirs a chance someone has messed around with it possibly to remedy those issues, which I know as you really shouldnt use any 115's in anything german, or they all do that when it comes to 9mms, 124's or higher which retard the slide return, as it throwing shells in your face is a direct result of that, its literally slamming back too hard for it to work right and FYI the prototype of the bren ten was originally .45, not 10, so it makes sense the best version is this version as that's what it was built for, the 10/45 concept came about as an idea as a gimic to get people into it, and to promote a new cartridge which worked, but also failed given they ran before they could walk not only with the quality control, but the design of the pistol itself meaning ironically the best version of the bren ten is the marksman special pistols that actually had their barrels and slides built by someone else I think also of course it could use hollowpoints and they had them back then, hell its what those guys were using in 86' with their 9mms, which failed as they expanded too early with their 80's version of the 115 silver tips and it was a long known thing that military guns like the M1911 needed special work to work right with those, so they would consider that right off the bat when building it given one of the guys was a former packmayer pistol smith, who probably did a ton of work making sure it could run those just as a matter of practice which is the really sad thing about this thing, theirs alot of good thought in it, it just needed abit more work, like even the firing pin block is pretty clever but apparently some of them can move when your pulling the slide back to either side, like maybe the ball bearing is faulty or it wasnt set up right which could have easily been fixed if it would only go to one side, but this was Pre CZ 75 B, B for firing pin blocker actually

Wow. The screen used ones didn't match NEAR as nicely as your's, being bare stainless with a hardchromed slide. Is your frame also HCed?

I believe so.

Hey bruh I see you are revisiting this pistol, why I must ask? Did you change your mind or what? I know the first was 10mm and this one is the .45acp better? Oh Jason don't forget this is a 80's pistol not the product of today's standards, has to be perfect... 😎
