I was lucky enough to get a P227 Nitron. I since have an SRT trigger and a standard reach trigger installed. Got rid of the short reach trigger it came with. Action Enhancement Package done by Sig. Double action like butter now. My P226 got the same treatment. Now, I’ll take my Sig P227 over any 1911.

I only have 1 fault with the metal Sigs myself. The trigger is no big deal for $50 you can get a SRT, my problem is the MSRP. But i still buy them😅

The 14 round P227 magazines are known to be problematic. Reputedly, if you put ParaOrdnance springs in the mags they'll work. I only use the 10 round mags in mine.

You're welcome. I enjoyed your video very much. Mine is a no-rail 3.9" version. I had a matching 4.5" slide built for it too, so I now have a full size, no-rail 227 option. Two guns in one. They shoot really well. I carried a P220 for many years until my agency switched to .40S&W. So, I just had to get a 227 to keep it company and I'm glad I did,@@thetexasgunvault

We have that exact same model … Carry with the rail. U could not offer me another SIG .45 in trade. The best 3 shot … group I ever shot = this pistol.

@@thetexasgunvault so if you were to pick one as a range toy and weekend pistol match would you go with the full size P227 or P227 Carry? The older I get the more bored I've become shooting just 9mm's
