Range Rover L405 Front Camera Failure

Investigating the failure of the camera on my 2013 Range rover L405

Raymie, Looking around I see the suggestion that VAG group ( VW Audi etc ) use the same /similar cameras (PN: 7P6-980-551C ). Which when you look at them appear to have the same box+lens design but perhaps a different connector on the back panel of them. Going by your disassembly, it looks like the back panel of the cameras could be changed over as they just make a touch connection on the back of the sensor PCB. i.e. if you find another car make camera cheap, you could stick the LR back panel onto it. My front left camera has pegged it like yours, so I'm now in the same boat looking around.

My camera went into the bumper, I spent hours try to putting out, however it likes to pull itself in. Quite annoying. Any other solution other than bumped out job?

The camera clips into the bumber from the inside the only way to secure it correctly is taking the bumper off unfortunatly , its not that difficult a job

Did you try one of the wing mirror cameras in the reverse?

Hi there, did you manage to fix the Camera in the end ? I have a similar thing on a 2012 L322 albeit for the wing mirror downward camera / combined puddle light and have been watching out for a secondhand camera.

@@chithru2111 that depends what you are planning to do the Gap tool is around £360 but you can get a professional tool that can cost £2000 or more

what info did you get when you scanned the QR code? i'm guessing those cameras are made in china and cost way less than £25 to buy here!!

Oof yeah these cameras are $200-300 and you know they're like $10 to make in China
