We played OUR GAME. This game epitomizes what 24 Rangers do. Get a lead, shut them down. Every thing to the outside, slow down playmakers, no cross ice passes, block shots. If they catch up, go back on attack (Panarin goal). Canes had 14 shots in 53 minutes of play.

Officiating is also incredibly frustrating. I’m sure most of us watched games 6 and 7 of the bruins-leafs series and they weren’t calling anything. Then all of a sudden these first 5 Ranger games they’re calling guys for passing fkin gas.

Not to mention letting the canes players off with just minor penalties. The first one was the Tony D elbow and the second was when fox got cross checked right in the face. Both were clearly hits above the shoulders and should have been majors

As much as I'm grateful for that 'W, I was really concerned that the Rangers were playing too much keep away and the Canes practically lived in in the Rangers zone in the last 5 min of the game. That has to change. Also, we're going to have to really lock down during thier empty netters especially if wer'e only up by one. But your'e spot on Rangers Central!

​@@craigkatz1018 Maybe they are just waiting for a loss, to put him in. At this point I'd be happier with Brodzinski in. It's not really Rempe's fault either. The refs and the league have it out for him and call him for everything. That goalie interference penalty was a joke. One of these times a stupid penalty will cost us.

Fantastic win by the Rangers. And when it comes to Rempe, anything questionable, and he will get a penalty, since he has a bullseye on his back from the referees. Also, a little too passing. They need to shoot the puck when they have the opportunity. No need for the fancy passing plays which don't work too much, especially against a team like Carolina. They need to win their home games, and not let the Canes win at the Garden. The games in Raleigh will be difficult.

How was it only a minor penalty when fox got cross checked right in the face?! I thought the NHL was cracking down on hits to the head. Granted we won the game and I hate to see a pentaly of that magnitude be the ultimate deciding factor in the playoffs but still come on that had to be a major. I think it was because kuznetof(I know I spelled his name wrong) has a reputation of being mostly clean.

Don't forget how flukey 2 of canes goals were, think about how little quality looks they had, great D good physical play and great work and creating offense and puck movement....one more thing this is playoff hockey, I though some of those calls were soft for pre season let alone playoffs

Trouba was great also. Defense was amazing. I am a bit worried about Fox, normally I am silently wowing at that guy's hands consistently. Now is not the time but Lingren's contract is on the back of my mind, he is not a first line D man, sorry.
