A short video about the Cape Cod's pirate connection.
300 years ago, fate took the lives of Captain Sam Bellamy and the crew of the pirate ship Whydah. Ranger Jenna tells a tale filled with myth and mystery, interlaced with truth. Where does historical fact end, and fantasy and legend take over? The sea keeps many secrets, and though we have discovered much about pirates, and the ocean has finally relinquished its hold on the treasures of the Whydah, we may never know the whole truth.

Thank you Ranger Jenna for the great story and enduring the rugged setting for it. Sometimes the actual history is more vibrant than any fiction.

I saw a great display of many of the artifacts of the ship in Provincetown long before the museum was built in Yarmouth.

Of course that’s why we never hear of any treasure bing found on that beach smh by them doing that people won’t share what’s being found so the items lose there provenance…

Was the ship built in Gloucester Docks with the bell cast in Chepstow? Was it copper bottomed?

Whydah is another name for Judah (as in Kingdom of...) The 50 'African' ship mates including Julian the Indian (half Black half Miskito Indian and first recorded Carribean Pirate ) where the desendants of the Biblical Hebrew Speaking Isrealites (see maps of the west coast of Africa circa 1747). The greatest treasure (and shame) here is the untold and Epic History of the now extinct Miskito Carribean Indians, the Kingdom of Judah and it's decendants of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the right-thinking mindset of 'Black' Sam and other 'white' people in this time of 'African' slavery... Come on Barry, become a true hero!
