I think it’s obvious what CJ is gonna say, what we are all thinking, it was obvious from the get go, the midfield selection was wrong today, it’s without a shadow of a doubt the major factor in what cost us the game. Celtic dominated the midfield battle until we made the obvious changes, we’ve cried out all season for new, young and talented midfielders, we acquired them, they’ve shown us wonderful and promising things over the last few weeks, then we don’t play them in the game that matters the most? In there stead, we play injury ridden or severely inconsistent players, It’s baffling, stupid and frustrating to say the least. Even though this is our first loss with Beale it’s a poor and was an easily avoidable one, waiting till we’re two goals down before changing things made it even worse, it was never going to be easy but we handed it to them, I’m tired of watching us playing safe and picking favourites, “they’ve come in and done well but haven’t played a lot of football” was the quote from Beale but Lundstram has? Kamara had one good game against St Mirren and yet there’s a player who has shown more in one month than he has all season, if we would have lost today going out on our shield throughout the WHOLE game with the right team selection, it wouldn’t taste no where near as bitter in the mouth. It’s a lesson for Beale and the players but we scrap, recycle and go again, WATP and will never stop supporting our amazing team, going forward however we have nothing left to lose, 9 points behind, lost the Viaplay cup and have the Scottish Cup as the only tournament that could potentially be won, time to drop the old and tired legs, give the young, fit and healthy lads the chance, finish this season off supporting them, 4 lads had a dream, well it is time our young lads get there dream, let them play week in and week over the favourites and “maturity” that solemnly show us they have what it takes to compete anymore. ❤️💙💙❤️

I completely agree with everything you were saying CJ. The midfield two of Kamara and Lundstram were totally anonymous. Didn’t show anywhere near the energy or desire needed. Wasn’t even a midfield battle as Rangers didn’t lay a glove on Celtic in that area of the park. The rebuild was clearly needed last summer but instead, we spent cheaply and the players we signed are gamble projects - failed to bring in enough players that could hit the ground running and enhance the first team. I’m sick of watching the same players we’ve had since 2018 trot out over and over doing the same thing. That same group of players have consistently bottled big games. I’m tired of going over to Hampden and watching Rangers fail to deliver. Seen it far too many times now and it’s the same characters involved. Don’t need to hear folk like Tavernier apologising. It means nothing. If you’re sorry, go and deliver on the park. But unfortunately we’ve heard the “sorry” time and again and nothing changes. Some players can’t just keep getting handed unlimited chances. Need folk moved on. Players like Raskin should be starting every game.

For me I just felt beat already when I saw the lineup which I know sounds defeatist but when you sign ‘Two first team players’ according to your manager you expect them to start these big games! Especially when they’ve proven they are good players. To bring back in a player who has been out of form all season and been injured for 3 weeks is criminal! Beale talks a good game but he needs to learn from these mistakes like past managers. Beale showed his true colours with that lineup. Kamara should never start in an Old Firm match. He's too lackadaisical. They swarm us to gain possession and kamara is just too slow to overcome that. Raskin must have still been injured, however Cantwell fits in well to combat their press and he is all over the pitch in contrast to Lundstram.

There is no "Old Firm" anymore. As everyone in Scotland will tell you (who isnt delusional) - Rangers FC were bankrupted and dissolved because a criminal board of directors cheated the taxman and everyone else who provided goods and services to them. They even stiffed the face painting company and the tea ladies and the local convenience shop for sums of money like £14.32 and £46.40. Rangers FC were a criminal organisation which was liquidated and ceased to exist. A new football team took its place called SEVCO and after a while they changed their name to "The Rangers FC". This enabled them to put a team on the park while avoiding paying their debts (to the tea ladies etc) If they were still Rangers FC then theyd have to pay their debts. "The Rangers" are a new and different organisation - they pretend theyre the same football club as the one that was dissolved and ceased to exist - but they arent. Allowing them to change their name from SEVCO was and is an embarassment to Scottish football. Rangers FC was the establishment team in Scotland - corrupt and criminal as they were. They represented the sectarian anti-Catholic community In Scotland (and to an extent in Nortern Ireland). These people are still powerful in different areas of our society - and the decision to allow the name change after all the dirt Rangers FC had been discovered doing was ann example of the corrupt influence these people have. Those religious bigots demanded that their sectarian poison should have 'their' football team back as a lodgement for them - an institution where they can gather to be fleeced again by new criminals in suits and ties. And where they can pretend that their football club is the same as the one which really ceased to exist. The word "Rangers" should have been retired forever from Scottish football - in disgrace. But they Are Not the old club Rangers FC. And they Are Not half of an Auld Firm which used to be, but ended when they were liquidated, abolished and ceased to exist outside of the name on boxloads of bounced cheques.

I agree Rangers got it totally wrong in the midfield today against McGregor & Hatate you need to have as much tenacity at least. I was happy to see Raskin benched. I look forward to many more big games, but I think Beale and Rangers will learn from today....they will need too, to match Celtic right now. Respect and stay safe to all.

I am a Celtic supporter, no apologies. It wasn't a classic, but a trophy is a trophy. I am not here to gloat, just my opinion. Celtic were undoubtedly the better team. Rangers are in the position of 'cobbling together' a starting 11, as the squad depth is shallow. Mr. Beale missed an opportunity to give his new signings a run out, maybe based on trust. Fine. Celtic go forward, relentlessly. They have talent in all departments. In addition, if a player/ position is injured or not playing well, Ange has a sub on the bench to take over, usually just slotting in as (literally) as a substitute. Defence You said kind things about CCV, rightly. He is pivotal to the Celtic defence. Greg Taylor made mistakes, no doubt, but played his part in the first goal. Starfelt, maybe a bit of a bomb scare, but he does his job and has made a number of saving tackles over the season. Alistair Johnson is fitting in well. Celtic also have Ralston and Kobayashi waiting on the bench, if needed. Midield Consider the midfield. McGregor, can cope on his own but he has fabulous support from Hatate, Iwata, Mooy and O'Reilly. All from the bench and potential goal scorers. Attack Up front, Maeda, (duracell batteries), Kyogo, always busy and lethal. and Jota, a very talented winger/ goal scorer. And let's not forget Abada!! And now Oh!!! (Oh, Oh, it's magic!!) Bench Further, on the bench, Forrest (experienced and can rip sides apart), David Turnbull (still a great resource) and Hakšabanović (has not reached the heights yet, but will prevail, eventually) Joe Hart, usually has little to do and has been known to make mistakes. I would be hHappy to see see Bain get a run. On the Rangers end, I think you and many Rangers fans are over critical on of Tavanier. He does his job. But there is a lot of dead weight in the Rangers squad. Similarly Goldson. I won't criticise the others Morelos........................... who would have him? Seriously. Wee Raskin will never miss a game again. That performance from Kamara and Lundstrum the day ensured that. Pity. Lunny was a big player last season. Jack looked superb when he came on tae.

I just can’t understand what MB was thinking. I can only guess he was hoping Raskin and Cantwell would come on when Celtic we’re a bit tired and rip it up but ffs, that only works if you have a decent midfield in the first place. We played just about the same team we were all moaning about yonks ago, before we bought some decent players, some players who were supposed to be bridging the gap between us and them. May as well have stuck Matondo on too. Really disappointed with Beale but, he will learn from this, he won’t make the same mistake again. Such a huge opportunity missed, so disappointing.

A few months ago, lundstram was the best on earth. Now his replacement, after 3 games, is apparently so indispensable to the midfield that without him the game is over before it's begun. That's fickle beyond belief. It's easy to say Beale got this wrong and if he'd done this we'd have won but at the end of the day Celtic are miles ahead in every department. Rangers had a 10 minute spell after the goal where they got a boost and Celtic were totally rattled, but apart from that it was basically complete control. Don't underestimate the rebuild job required. Raskin and Cantwell didn't change the game, Rangers barely had a shot on target after they came on and Celtic could have had 3 or 4

That was brutal to watch. We really need to start fixing the endless problems at our club ffs… Absolutely no heart from the players today and somehow the fitness levels was miles off. I never want to see those same 3 in midfield ever again. Get lundstram and kamara gone way too inconsistent and lazy.

The two names I did not want to see in the starting 11 today were Lundstram and Kamara, and tbh after that I would prefer not to see them in the 11 again. Lundstram is just so lazy and switched off mentally, and Kamara is just a tidy anchorman from Dundee that 3 different managers have tried to make into something he isnt.

The midfield was all wrong and not making changes at HT was crazy, apart from that better team won 🤷‍♂️ now more importantly enough is enough with some of these players...Kent Kamara Barasic Morelos (yes he scored big deal) have been here long enough and haven't delivered Lundstram not as long doesn't matter to me he's like gio cheers for the European run and Scottish cup but apart from that useless Jack done well when on but isnt reliable squad player at best if he stays Shagger Davis n arfield this should be last season for them...we need a MASSIVE summer its as simple as that

Spot on. I honestly can’t believe we didn’t change a failing line up at HT, it was mind boggling, felt like Gerrard again. Midfield cost us today, was like playing a man down, needed a controlling midfielder like Jack. Tactics awful, Tillman couldn’t get w chance to play in that lineup. Wasted opportunity. Seen the goals coming a mile away.

Raskin showed in 10 mins what the whole midfield couldn't in 80, why he wasn't in from the start Is beyond me. Frustrating to watch the 3 man midfield and for me played into the hands of the opposition, tough watch unfortunately 😑

Kamara is a tidy footballer but he's faaaar too passive to play against Celtic, We've seen it time and time again. He's not got the competitiveness to be an effective defensive midfielder and he doesn't have the guile or ambition to be an advanced playmaker. He's a passing machine and that's about it. Tillman isn't right for this game either and Fredo has been gash in every derby for years.

The difference for me is out of possession celtic have every man in our half we have 4 in our half when out of possession. The out ball tav in lots of space but triangled off by 3 players with no pass option every time , corners every man for Celtic bar one in the box we have 3 sitting outside the box in our half for each corner and still managed to not win the ball after the long punt. Starfelt and hart were a mess today and we didn’t capitalise on it once

The team needs a total rebuild barring a few. Would also not sign Tillman after today. £5 million would get us Oscar Gloukh. For me this is Beales manager audition now between now and the summer. "Carter Vickers is our defence" Mate, as great as CCV is he's no superman, Starfelt is a good defender, the problem is he's not great with his left foot, so when he's forced to make clearances with his left he sometimes uncomfortable, he'd be more suited to play in CCV's position than on the left side, but as far as instinctive clearances and defending he's good.. the lack of goals Celtic concede is proof of that, he has a mistake in him but that's due to the way Ange wants him to play with the risky style football playing around the back rather than his out and out defensive abilities
