Yep. Correct buff usage is huge. Gotta know which stack, which do not, their cds etc so you can gain the largest possible effect and then you need to apply that to boss phases so you're maxing the damage when needed. It's pretty much the same with tanks/healers. Gotta time defensives between you to brute force mechanics for fast clear times. While our members do high dps, a large part of it is coordination and buffs (and insane amounts of gold on burst pots haha)
