Dude you need ritual beast/gusto archive Kamui's story is kind of depressing, especially his pre duel terminal 4 where he practically lost everything, his family, his entire tribe and his sister. Turns out that he has to face another impending doom and his own sister, 50 years gap between dt3 and dt4 which means kamui already in his 60-50s, imagine the PTSD he had, and even worse that he has to fight to the death with his own sister and his partner. That man deserve a mini episode, absolutely love his artwork in return of the ritual beast, his cry of joy and that man finally got what he deserves after suffering for almost 30 years.

As, like, one of the 4 people still running an OTK/beatdown Gem Knight Deck, I like that this video mentioned its existemce as more than an FTK at this point. I know its not consistent beatdown, but it's fun beatdown. Nothing's greater than particle fusioning Master Diamond, giving it a massive atk boost, then banishing topaz so you have a 6000+ beater that can attack twice.

It's even funnier as according to the Duel Terminal Lore, Gem knights saved the world from Vylons. Long story short: Vylons got corrupted by the steelswarm fighting them, decided that killing everyone is the solution, and made Vylon Disygma (their only Xyz). Disygma has a Majin buu/relinquished effect that allowed him to slaughter everybody, until he faced Gem-Knight Pearl, who was immune. Both of them fought to mutual destruction.

For those confused about Rata doing two major uploads within a small timespan, I think what he usually does is work on two major videos at a time so he can essentially use one as a break from the other, finishes one video and has the other basically done, releases the first, then touches up the second. What results is that we have long stretches of time without an archive video, then we get two in a row. That’s just what it seems like, and it seems to be working well!

For the lore junkies out there, Gem Knights had a... Tragic end, to say the least. They were mostly wiped out during the war with Evilswarms, and only Lapis and Lazuli survived. The remaining Gem Knights were infected and amalgamated into Cairngorgon, Antiluminescent Knight, which Lapis & Lazuli went searching for in the vein hope that they could _somehow_ restore the Gem-Knights. Unfortunately, when they found Cairngorgon it used Shaddoll Fusion, a corrupted form of Gem-Knight Fusion, to _forcibly fuse Lapis and Lazuli together_ into El Shaddoll Construct, a twisted version of Gem-Knight Lapis Lazuli, while Cairngorgon itself fully succumbed to the Evilswarm virus and become El Shaddoll Grysta. When El Shaddoll Winda destroyed the Naturia Sacred Tree (depicted in "El Shaddoll Fusion"), the newly-activated Qliphort Scout killed El Shaddoll Grysta by extracting the Gem Knight cores from it and using them to power the remaining Qliphort (depicted in "Saqlifice"). The Qliphort then attacked the Shaddolls and merged Construct with Apoqliphort Towers to form El Shaddoll Shekinaga, in preparation for something even bigger. The Qliphorts housed the vile Infernoids within them, and when these emerged they assimilated Shekinaga with Infernoid Devyaty into El Shaddoll Anoyatyllis (depicted in "Void Vanishment"). Anoyatyllis, and by extension whatever remained of the Gem Knights, was ultimately destroyed by Tellarknight Ptolemaeus (depicted in "Void Purification"), paving the way for the destruction of Infernoid Tierra and the saving of the Duel Terminal World.
