I believe the reason for the hextech alternator stuff is due to his auto magic damage acting as a secondary spell effect (probably due to it originating as one), but upon use it goes on cd and thus renders it inert. So basically you get an auto PLUS a spell every time you auto while the E is off cd. while it is on, you no longer get such effect. Dont quote me, but that seems the most likely scenario and would be worth trying it on champs with similar effects.

its not really a "strange" or "weird" interaction but it is an interaction. Shen's Q drag through for empowered Q counts as an ability to proc electrocute, faze rush, eclipse and potently others. Those are the ones i can think of of the top of my head right now, yes i am a shen main and love of meta builds for him. This is a big maybe but i also believe his taunt counts as 2 abilities meaning i believe the taunt affect and the dash damage count as separate abilities. The reason i believe this is i believe i have proced eclipse with just taunt, as well as electrocute or fazerush with just taunt and a ato attack. Whats more ironic about the kraken and rageblade interaction is that, rageblade on hit procs the titanic like sends a second shockwave after second stack. Even more weird thing is that senna with black cleaver bug where it doesnt apply the additional stack of cleaver when its supposed to. Game is just buggy af and rioters refuse to talk about these things

Black cleaver is most likely because the effect has to happen on dealing physical damage not an “on hit”

So, along the lines of the Alternator question, I can't provide an example in its favour, but rather one to its contrary. Old Hextech Revolver used to do it universally, with Thunderlord's Decree. I used to run a particularly nasty Varus mid build, rushing Gunblade into Stattik Shiv, and the spike at Revolver would allow you to auto + Q in quick succession to get good trades off. I miss it sometimes, since Electrocute doesn't counter the alternator proc on Varus as a unique damage instance anymore. (I think that change was made in S7 or 8)

kraken was specifically made/changed/whatever to not get modified by rageblade. The reason you would get kraken, if you wanted to, with rageblade is for the attack speed mythic bonus.

Sorta similar interaction with manamune on kha'zix. Item applies on both kha auto and kha passive, so it procs twice on your first auto out of stealth. I imagine the code is similar between the interactions

On hybrid AP/AD: I think it could be worth doing, but your AP items would need to be ones that provide magic pen. AD thresh still deals primarily magic damage so you'd be getting more value out of those sorts of items. The question is then, which ones? Shadowflare? Protobelt instead of Cringebow, maybe? Void staff if you're up against a bunch of tanks who are building lots of MR? Nashors and Lich bane are also potentially worth thinking about because they do synergise with AD thresh's playstyle overall, but these items also reward you for buying lots of AP so ehhhh. The ol' Muramana + AP items build could also maybe work.

None, not even Shaco, of the potentially hybrid champs build AP and AD. It's always either or. Kat, Kog,... Maybe a Teemo grabbing Wits End for MR instead of Nashors. That's kinda AD but he gets Riftmaker 2nd, which is one of the last items that has omnivamp. Pen items would be the worst items to buy. Just invest in the durability item they aren't buying. The main reason to hybrid would tlbe to grab different effects. Kaisa can splash her builds to hit ability breakpoints. Like a Nashors 4th or maybe a Zhonyas late.

Kraken is weird because sometimes it work like on-hit and sometimes on-attack... for exemple Aphelios Onslaught, Duskwave and R doesn't stack Lethal tempo (On-attack) and proc Kraken (On-hit?) but Rageblade proc on-hit and not kraken (on-attack?) so i think it's special cased.

I know I wasn't part of the stream chat but here's my personal experience. I watch league vids depending entirely on the creator. Most players whine all game long and call that entertainment. But Cyro, H0rnlime, and TheBaussffs make always have something interesting to say about chaotic games, even if they're getting screwed. Beyond that, most .exe videos are good for a laugh, and I really like Chilling Smite's hardstuck series cause the editing is topnotch.

The thresh + alternator probably works like this: your e passive normally is counted as on-hit, the same with alternator when you proc with an auto attack. (I assume) when you proc alternator with your e passive however it’s counting it as being proc’d by an ability since technically it is. So in summary the electrocute counts these 3 things: -Auto attack -Alternator (via e passive) -A third ability (or auto attack) That being said with that logic it should proc on other on-hit passives such as Teemo. If anyone does check other champs please let me know so I can -abuse it- **ahem** use this definitely intended combo :)

On the subject of League Boomers and itemization, I quit for about a year and found out when I came back that Sunfire was no longer a mythic with an on-hit when fully stacked so I can't play Tank Master Yi with it anymore, and the interaction with Shen where if he Q's with Frostfire Gauntlet it procs Demonic Embrace in an AoE with his Melee Multiplier was also removed, so I've had to find new sauce to play with. Currently I main Shen in the Jungle with Bamis > CD Boots > Riftmaker (I watch a lot of xPetu he's also not afraid to experiment)
