I was 10. Everyone in my school either had the Fire Reds or Breds. I wanted the fire Reds, I ask Santa. Well, I ended up with the Military blues, I was a little disappointed, I was the only kid in elementary with them. And being an individual then wasn’t an option. I ended up getting used to them, but the side of the shoe where my toe was came unsewn and I had a big hole at my pinky toe. My mom Hot glued them. Unfortunately that would irratate my skin and make my pinky toe blister. Well this infuriated my mom because we didn’t have a lot of money and in 1989 they cost $110. My mom wrote a long winded angry letter to Nike and sent the damn sneakers back. A few months later we received an apology note and a box that contained the NOT YET RELEASED Nike Air Jordan 5 Grapes. What an awesome memory, so now, the military blue are my favorite and at 44 years old I own 3 of the 4 colorways. Great video

I had the Fire Red 4’s in 1989 when I was 10 years old. I loved that shoe! I’ve been debating copping them. Injustice recently grabbed some White Cement 4’s. I kinda want the Black Cement’s but I’m not sure. The Military Blue’s look good but I’ve never really wanted those. I actually have a pair of Lazer 4’s with the gum bottom and I have a pair of Eminem Carhartt 4’s. My rankings are as follows…… 1. White Cement 4’s 2. Fire Red 4’s. 3. Black Cement 4’s. 4. Military Blue 4’s.

I think the white cements will always remain king for me, but I'm always so torn on the black cements. I love the colourway because they're the shoes MJ wore when he made "The Shot", but at the same time, that all-durabuck upper seems difficult to maintain, and I feel like I'd be keeping one eye on them every time I go out.
