Just a note on Qiqi, if you slow it down a lot, you can actually see her switching the sword between her right and left hand which is such a cool detail since other characters clearly show their preference for a right or left hand and this may be because she forgot or she’s just ambidextrous.

Qiqi’s skill with a sword is very impressive when you consider she was trapped in amber for 2000 ish years (and still remembers her technique) swapping hands mid swing is not easy, I have tried sword art in real life and it takes serious practice I gave up on trying it as a right handed fencer because it takes a lot to master especially if you bind a shield on your non dominant arm, plus she is a child so aside from the adeptal power she has weak arms, I feel like she deserves a lot more credit as a character

12:47 In japanese culture(and I'm sure others) that hand gesture is used to signify foxes. The pointer and pinky fingers are the ears of the fox and unlike a "metal" gesture, the thumb, middle, and ring finger all make a point like a foxes mouth.

Fun fact, the colour of albedos flower in his attack string changes with the infusion! If u use chongyun then there will be a light blue flower instead of gold !!! Same with bennet!!!

The hand gesture Yae Miko is doing isn’t even the “death metal devil fingers” gesture if you look closely. She has her thumb touching the pads of her third and fourth fingers. This gesture is meant to look like a fox head, or kitsune which she is.

Nah, the amazing thing about Yoimiya's normals is that each one has a unique and fun "back-to-idle" animation if you stop attacking mid string I mean, she sheaths her bow!

I think its pretty safe to assume that Venti's charged attacks are going to be unique for him even if another anemo bow characters appear. All of his skills have feathers, its his theme, like dandelions for Jean or stars for Mona.

qiqi's regular attack is called ancient yunlai swordsmanship, and keqings is called yunlai swordsmanship. comsidering qiqi is over 1000 years old, and both keqing and qiqi have purple hair and pink eyes AND both reside in liyue, they might be related

Fun video. Glad to see appreciation for normal and charged attacks. I do disagree on not needing to use a lot of them, cause nothing have stopped me from using the normal attacks of Raiden, Ganyu, Xiao and so on. Losing DPS? I don't do abyss. Fudge that. Normal attacks is life. And I thank Yun Jin and Ayato for their normal attack buffs.

This is such a fun ranking. I love all the Inazuman sword users' attacks, so stylish. Personally as a Xiao main, I do use his normals and charged a lot. Not only they're part of his best plunge combos, but also in the map I don't really use his burst all that much since everything is so weak it dies immediately and it can be a waste. Usually with his E and some combos it's enough and also fun to kill the last hilichurl with that claw-like charged attack

I think what kills my enjoyment when playing with Mona is her elemental skill, her attack animations are literally stellar and her burst is phenomenal, but the skill? it looks dreadful (in my opinion)

I love to waste time by just attacking with Raiden. Her animation when she walks and spins her polearm in front of her is beautiful. I love to do that then just before the weapon starts to dissipate, use the charged attack. Oh god it is amazing

I used to be a Diluc main, and i just love the fact that his attacks are as boring and straight to the point as he is. I sure love using Itto cause he’s supper fun (and Ningguang cause of the pretty shiny rocks) but from a character design standpoint, Diluc is just perfect 😂

I like the idea of spash art rating, also maybe an outfit rating? Like how cool/elegant/whatever a character's outfit looks. Example: Kaeya has a lot going on with his studded bracelets, abyss mage scarf thing, icicle earring, and corset, and stars that might be associated with celestia/his original homeland. Tartaglia is..kinda boring for someone associated with the fatui. Like, we see so many cool outfits from people associated with the fatui, but then Tartaglia wears grey with a red scarf. Or Mona, I have a personal headcannon that she's too poor to afford matching shoes. Idk, seems like a cool idea.

This was very nicely made. I love the scoring system you used! It looks like a ton of bow users, claymore users, and polearm users lost out just for having the same charge attack. I wonder why all the sword and catalyst users get unique charge attacks but not them.

Honestly, I think Hu Tao deserves a 5 in normal attack. She has a unique animation praying for her enemies safe passage to the afterlife, with a bit of teasing to add insult to injury at the end. She may also deserve a +1 in charge attack given that she skids to a halt afterward unlike other polearm characters that spin forward. p.s. You may want to take a closer look at how some characters sheathe their weapons. There are some interesting animations to be had there. Yoimiya, for instance, after finishing her final normal attack puts her weapon away the same way a samurai would sheathe a sword. Mimicking other Inazuma characters when they wield swords, despite the fact she actually uses a bow instead.

What I find unique about Jean's auto attacks is how strong and heavy they look. It's like she puts all her strength in every swing of her sword. Even the charge attack has a shake to emphasize her strength. It's not flashy but it's intense. Like how did they do it?

I really love Yoimiya's because the way she lines her bow directly with her body and the poses she does are all things from Chinese archery, whereas the other bow users do pretty standard European archery. I don't know which style is more useful (from what I've learned, Chinese is better for combat but European is just all around more practical... like Venti and Kazuha... but I only know how to perform basic European archery) but Chinese archery is so pleasing to watch. I want to learn so bad...

fun fact about albedo: that star that forms around his sword in his attack animations changes color when his attacks are fused with different elements (red/orange for pyro, light blue for cryo, and darker blue for hydro) raiden does this as well

Mihoyo needs needs to add more diverse artifacts like a 2 piece that reduces charged attack cost or give stamina Also much needed qol update would be a seperate version of stamina for charged attacks that has less gauge but recharges significantly faster or something... maybe it'll buff keqing and probably hutao

Hu Tao's charged attack has a different effect from the actual generic polearm attack drill effect Hers actually looks like you took the effect you get from a plunge attack and flipped it horizontally

fun fact about ayato , when he puts his sword back into the holder , the side that cuts is actually facing up, how it puts it in is he spin the sword towards himself , thats why when u do his first attack , he moves to the side so that when he spins the sword it wouldnt cut him

have you seen the animations between attacks? like each character has a different animation for them to return to their resting position if you do 1 attack and stop, 2 attacks and stop, 3 and 4 they often return to their position on a different manner and shows more about their personality I love to see Hu Tao's and Ayato's

There really is a lot of Ganyu hate, it's usually among other opinions rather than outright hate. People making their own lists rating her lowly, trashing her "boring" gameplay or meta status, stuff like that. I understand people finding her boring even if I don't, she's very repetitive after all. To each their own, that being said I don't understand the people that hate her visual design, I think she looks great.

i feel like people still feel bitter about her since she was our first super powerful 5 star DPS, and everyone was crying about powercreep. since then, we've had just as strong units, and some now even stronger for abyss/speedrunning teams like eula, ayaka, raiden, etc which makes me sad bcs i was a ganyu haver ever since 1.2 and love her charge shot playstyle 😔😔 i get why people might find it boring but for people like me who like playing it, its super satisfying to land your shots

Childes normal attack string slides him backwards. If you look closely you will see that he keeps his legs on the ground the whole time and the movement backwards is just the momentum from his attacks

For Raiden, it make sense considering her polearm isn't a spear but a Nanigata. It's like a Katana attached to a huge stick. If you use her with Engulfing Lightning, her NA looks normal. And to be honest, considering she is a god, she probably could kill anything while holding her polearm by the pike
