Slight correction regarding Super Bunyan: her NP is actually ST. I have precisely five must-have SSR targets for next year and they're all her. Not gonna whale, but I've been saving up since Oberon so I reckon I'll have enough quartz banked to make it happen. A single copy of Rikyu would also be cool because of her design, but she's not a priority.

Good video. Hard disagree with Arcueid, but everything else seems good to me. If you're a whale (or extremely lucky) and are willing to NP3~5 her + grails and fous, then yes she's a must have since you're not going to care for node classes 99% of the time (due to her class) but otherwise she's going to feel fairly average/weak for harder farming nodes. I wouldn't bump her to must summon just for her popularity, people that love her are going to summon for her anyway (including myself). If you have Koyanskaya, don't have a buster farmer yet and are willing to NP2 her if possible, she's a good alternative otherwise just a (very pretty) average option. The worst part of her banner is how close summer units are when it was released.

yup i have her np5 120 2k fous at jp and her damage is average i would say, yeah u dont need any ce in paper but at the end u are forced to use BG in case u wanna do somedamage she just work fine against chaotic alignment and her best comp is doble vitch + ibuki summer (u can play doble oberon vitch but ur 1 and 2 wave damage will be low ,so i would say a BIG no for her (if u want an universal buster farmer melusine is just way way better) or if u are willing to invest hard in her yeah then go, lorewise as a char she is just nuts an archetype + vampire, nothing more to say in the fate universe. NP cinematic is just fire ;)

CORRECTION(S): As per usual, apologies if I left something out or made a mistake. For example, I didn't realize I didn't explain Super Bunyan's unique passive that helps her NP do more damage. That & for some reason I thought she was AOE when she's actually single target. IDK how I made that mistake when the info was right on my face. Totally overlooked those things, & more than likely made other mistakes. Thankfully neither mistakes (imo) changes her placement for me, but I'm sorry nonetheless!

Ah another thing! I guess maybe it just never came into play for me to the point I'd remember to bring it up, BUT Lady Avalon has a passive that gives her 20% battery off the jump. So if you unlock her 2nd Append & level 10 it, she starts off with 40% NP Battery without taking CE's into account, which is obviously amazing.

Koyan has 30% battery rather than 50%, but it is party wide -- giving the highest amount of NP from a single skill to the party. I'm an idiot lol

What is cool about Summer Skadi if you have a Skadi is that you can bring a friend busted NP5 120 2k fou quick servant while still having double Skadi.

@@TheMainCharacterJack nahh, the advantage of having double Skadi is that you're no longer obliged to pick friend support Skadi and you can choose any random servant that has MLB Event CE instead of repeatedly refreshing your support list for that specific Skadi that has one. istg there are two RNGesus that I wrestle with in FGO: The one who punks me in the gacha banners and the other one who loves to waste my time in refreshing the Friend Support List.

@sorcierenoire8651 Obviously we don't have the numbers so neither you nor I can say anything for certain, but I'm willing to bet most players would prioritize putting a MLB event CE on their Support Servants (such as Castoria, Koyan, Oberon, & Skadi) over most Offensive Servants since that will garner them the most Friend Points. Yes, I've seen & I myself have put MLB CE on Offensive Servants countless times, but most of the time, from my experience, these CE's are gonna be slapped on Support Servants first & foremost. So, is the advantage you speak of definitely a thing? Sure, it's a possibility, especially if you happen to have a whale friend with MLB Event CE's across the board. But is it as probable, though? I'd argue it's not.

I would say 2024 (NA) will be the year where you extend your servant pool and improve your current teams. Last year was the revival of Arts Looping with Castoria and buffed already released Arts Servants or later revealed Servants. This year was everything about the "Buster Meta" with Koyan, Oberon, Morgan and Melusine. The next year will be about building and improving those teams. Do you need strong Arts Servants? Extend your playstyle with Lady Avalon. Or Arts Looper? Then Ibuki Doji. Do you use the Buster Meta? Koyan of Dark & Arcueid can be really helpful. Or do you need good quick Loop servants? Charlemagne or Rikyu. With an unique playstyle? Bazett. Or alternative Quick Looper Support? Summer Skadi. For me my target is on the summer servants: Lady Avalon & Skadi. But also Arcueid. Maybe I can save enough for Charlemagne, but anni & summer are the main goals.

Part of me REALLY wants to summon for Summer Ibuki, but I already have a NP4 Summer Musashi, who I argue does better in Challenge Quests by being able to simply ignore those locked Evade/Invincible buffs and really ensure the damage hits home. She also has both an Evade and Guts to help keep herself alive, and I'm planning to roll for Lady Avalon who provides Max HP boost on her NP which allows you to at least partially negate the downside to one of Musashi's skills that decreases her HP as a penalty. Also, Summer Skadi is a Must. She enables some absolutely degenerate Quick teams.

And you would be right! I ALWAYS use Summer Musashi over my Ibuki when it comes to harder fights. Ibuki may be more efficient in farming & blitzing the enemies, Musashi (especially with her Bond 10 CE) is literally unmatched in challenges. Good luck with Skadi!

Lot of servants I want this year. My only NP2 goal is Ibuki Summer. But with the anniversary GSSR I can guarantee a second copy of the other Berserker farmers, Musashi, Arjuna, and Morgan. But a servant I’d NEED is Skadi summer because I don’t have normal Skadi. Not for a lack of trying.

From a gameplay perspective, Arcueid is really worth it only if you plan to go to at least NP4 in my experience. Of course, if you just want a copy cause you're a fan and don't want to waste money, NP1 is fine but she's not that great. I used mine very little and she's grailed to 100 (purely out of respect for a titular character, cause I'm on the Ciel hill).

I made good use of a level 100, NP2 Arc, but mostly for easy content. She's perfect for light farming (using her alongside Oberon and Morgan) for a 3T, 6CE no plug team, but any 90++ is too much for her at my level of investment. So far that team perfectly managed the 90+ quests of the current loto, so not quite useless either.

Yeah I think I agree with the list though I don't think I'd put Arc on the must have, based on gameplay anyway. Np for np she's not at the level of the big buster loopers out now (Morgan, Arjuna alter, melu) and then she'll get passed 6 months later with Kuku and again by Tiamat. I don't think she does enough to get around that, unlike summer ibuki, who even if you're a Rin/Kama/Musashi/Kiara simp, and have one those at np 5, Ibuki is still a good pickup for her support capabilities

“No one I would call broken or game changing”. Wtf, what a strange thing to say. Summer Ibuki invalidated every looping arts servant ever made mate. To this day she is by far the strongest offensive unit in the game. Summer Skadi allows for quick comps to actually be halfway decent again.

That's great if you think so. Respect your opinion. But this is mine: I didn't wanna outright say it, but Ibuki is a tad bit overrated. I love her as much as the next guy, trust me, I'm the biggest Aoi Yuuki simp ever & I have Ibuki grailed at a high NP level, max bonded, & so on, but all bias aside, her being the best Arts looper by itself is just not that impressive at this stage of the game where we get a good to great looper every other week. She's "strongest" perhaps by sheer numbers/damage, but I'm not gonna call her broken just looking at numbers nor do I absolutely never touch my other Arts loopers or other loopers in general. The game is a lot more than hitting hard. For example, with the myriad of Arts loopers I have, my Summer Musashi still sees A LOT more play in harder/longer fights because she can outlast Ibuki any day of the week while being able to loop her NP just fine. Sure, lacking a battery can be annoying, but Musashi's NP gain is ridiculous enough + all the Arts support makes a lack of a battery a non factor in challenges. In farming, I can bring anyone from Ibuki to Tiamat to Melusine to Caren to Kirei to [INSERT ANY COMPETENT LOOPER HERE] & be 100% fine. Not once have I been like "damn, I shoulda brought my Ibuki instead." She's just another option, a great option at that, sure, but broken? Game changing? Kinda pushing it. I feel like "broken" is one of those words that get thrown too often to the point of losing its meaning. Ibuki doesn't break the game at all & definitely DOES NOT "invalidate" all of her Arts peers. Again, I LOVE her, but we gotta keep it a stack -- she's overrated.

Now we know that there are many good arts loopers thanks to clairvoyance but imo she still stands out. She's in the best offensive class. The value you get from np1 sibuki is higher than say a neutral arts looper at np1. She's also really good in multi-core farming setups where she can give upto 50% in dmg buffs. That's surprisingly good amount of utility from such a hyper offensive servant. She's got about two weaknesses. First, unremovable defensive buffs and second being her defence or lack thereof. Both can be circumvented by using ignore lnvul ce and by having castoria.

I do agree with your tier list and seeing how you place each servant with reasons and why you should skip or why you should pursue if you could within your limits. Since i have limited Sq and ticket only enough to guaranteed me one copy, so no Dark-Koyan, Bazett, Arc, Lady Ava lon or Zerk-Ibuki. So ruling out everything else compromising only on gameplay, waifu reasons and the pros and cons then Ruler Skadi is a must for me objectively.

Honestly i dont remember seeing much of arc after her month. She sorta just fell into the pile of use and servants SIbuki and Sskadi yeah for one is a good burst farmer as her job and sSkadi is one of the rare aoe quick units with a battery so she's vedy versatile regardless of being np 1 as a charger or higher as a farmer Bazzet i find more a gimmick than very good as she could brick if the enemy self charges enough. Rather not let rng ruin my day so I'd drop her a little bit.

Xu fuu was the real star of that banner with how she made arts even more f2p friendly as with a strong welfare you can farm a lot. i am shocked that you didn't go over summer skadi's trick. by having both caster skadi and ruler skadi, you can pull a friend's or someone else's AoE quick servant, like an np5 lvl 120 summer okitan with a MLB black grail

That's reliant on having a whale friend (or just really lucky) & trusting that they have the right CE on that Servant, which is a "trick" that not everyone can enjoy given the uncontrollable factors. And even if you have a friend that has said Servant up, there's no guaranteed they'll keep that Servant up. So I don't think it's that worth mentioning, but I suppose it's an option that some people may like, which more power to those people

To me, the nice thing in the coming year is that there's no 'must have'. I can freely focus on the characters I like without worrying too much on the meta. Right now, my main targets will be Bazett, Charlemagne, Arcueid and Summer Skadi. Possibly Britomart if I'm bored at the end of the year (and feel I can go after her without endegering too much my Kukulkan rolls). As for already-out Servants, I kind of want Sima Yi, but she's a bit too close from Bazett to my liking, and I'll definitely chase after more Shiki NP levels during the anniversary.

Same. It's kind of an easier year to plan for. No game breaking supports that you feel are a necessity. Obviously Summer Ibuki is busted. But what you need to farm effectively isn't so extreme that you need to get her specifically. So can just go and enjoy the characters and pick more based on personal preference.

Merry Christmas! Next year is kind of nice. It's got good characters for sure. It's not a empty void or anything. But there aren't many characters I feel like "I need to get." Just a lot that I'd enjoy having. Like Lady Avalon for more options in the art support category. My gut feeling right now is: 1) NP3 OG Melt (I'd just like one more copy there) and 2) Lady Avalon Might poke a bit at a few different banners. But I'm honestly feeling good. Would rather manage my quartz looking ahead to 2025. That year will break me if I'm not ready.

As an 120 2k fou NP5 Arc owner with black grail, shes great. She has her downfalls (not being able to use Obby and Koyan together), but she's such a good general content farmer. Her damage is average, but shes my favorite character. When she's maxed she's great. Otherwise I think Ibuki is a better suit. 2x Arc 1 dps is a bit of a meme but absolutely works on lower tier contents

I need some help. I started playing fgo on September, right now my ssr's are Van gogh, Okita alter summer, Melusine np2, Waver, Kama summer, Space Ishtar, Douman np2 (same multi), Musashi saber, Ereshkigal np1 (i use her for crits with douman), Melusine np2 Dantes and Shuten on 12sq gssr, Odysseus spook on Skadi banner and Tamamo spook. I can arts farm pretty well with tamamo+Castoria supp and waver. My goals are Gssr Oberon 20% chance, Koyan Dark np1 grailed + golden fous(Van Gogh, Douman and koyan is one of my favorite characters), koyan light, Castoria and Oberon if i have no luck with gssr's. Right now i have 1.2k sq. My problem is trying to decide in wich looper focus to be at least np2, more copies of Space isthar or kama, Arjuna, Ibuki, and maybe Morgan but i think Morgan is better for other types of comps and her np1 is quite meh without the bonus dmg ( i have her on jp). Other Servants i don't know if i need but i want are Lady Avalon and summer Skadi since i failed on normal Skadi. My purpose for quick is only ST and crits, maybe random loops with okita, douman and dantes. Summarizing my biggest problem is in which looper to focus. Can ibuki farm 90++ with Oberon and BG at np1-2 or you need buster 100%? Also i will go for kukulkan and maybe she will be the unit i will focus on np lvls for looping buy i don't know right now.

Personally, no. Don't get me wrong, an NP5 or even just NP2 Ibuki would 100% hit harder than an NP5 Spishtar, but if you already invested in Spishtar to that degree & are having no issues farming with her, I don't think prioritizing Ibuki is worth it. On the flip side, if your Spishtar is Bond 15 or close, it may be smart to pick up Ibuki in the long run so you won't waste Bond Points on an already max Bonded Spishtar.

Thing I'm struggling with is those 3 summer servants. We have a excellent omni arts looper, a premier quick support who can also loop, and a niche but powerful arts sustain support. For me though I have an omni arts looper, so I'm not gaining much from Ibuki. I have Skadi, so don't need another quick support, or really a looper either, and I have merlin, really narrowing that use case for Lady Avalon. None of them are clear should invest in options. Normally I'd justify it by 'well, I can try for this one', but there are 3 back to back, and if you add Arc there is basically 4. I really have to target one of them. UGH!

How does summer Musashi compare to summer Ibuki? If you have summer Musashi at NP2, can you skip Ibuki?

In terms of farming, Ibuki is definitely more consistent thanks to her NP battery, but as you may already know, Musashi is still quite reliable despite lacking one. In terms of damage, I personally don't see a huge difference (though Ibuki probably hits slightly harder). Musashi is easily better at challenges/bosses thanks to her Evade/Guts allowing her to outlast Ibuki.

Never said she couldn't. I just didn't want to dive too much on a 2024 Servant since I'd have to explain how Chloe works, which would be redundant since I'll have to do it again next year. That & while Chloe is great for that extra NP% push, her cost does make it so you can't have event 5 Star CE's across the board if the main looper is a 5 Star (like Arcueid), which hurts farming efficiency.

I'm a little torn on who I should go for when it comes to the summer banners. I want to go for Summer Skadi for the very shallow reason that I am to get Summer Suzuka in the future and she's a quick servant, and I already have a lot of good quick servants. But Proto Merlin would also be nice since Castoria and Arts looping is also stronger than that anyways, and I don't have an arts looping berserker but I do have Space Ishtar so I don't know if it would be *that* much better. All three are good options and all three are right next to each other. I'm low key banking on the anni quartz to give me Archetype Earth, because it hasn't failed me yet, but I also don't know if it'll necisarilly be that much better than Spishtar and double koyan. IIrc I could use a Black Grail instead of Kscope for more damage since her charge skill is busted, but idk. There's also the fact that the one servant I need but don't have is Oberon, and I feel like I should save for him for when he returns in the Road to 7 LB6 banner, because last time I didn't have enough quartz to hit pity for him and I'd hate to miss him again.

While you can’t BG double koyan + Oberon. She can BG with double oberon + koyan as long as you unlock her append skill, just unlock no need to lvl it up

Sorry to hear that! I would say, since next year has all limited SSR's returning, it's the best year to try & build it back up. But from what you're saying, it sounds like you only had your account gone for 2ish months? If so, it's not the end of the world. If the game still brings enjoyment to you, then keep playing. If it brings more negative feelings more than anything, it's okay to quit. Either way, hope you feel better with whichever path you choose!
