I mean the Fiyero/Elphaba/Glinda throuple deserves a spot, too. Personal fav ship/headcanon is that Elphie & Fiyero are bi and Glinda is a lesbian, but they are in a throuple and Glinda & Fiyero have a queer platonic kinda thing going on. (Maybe even just them three having an open relationship in general. I think that that actually quite works for them.)

Mmmph the thing that conflicts me about Fiyero/Boq as a ship (and I say this as someone that loves mlm ships) is that it doesn’t have the same feel at all as Scarecrow/Tin Man because the Tin Man and Boq are different characters in the Wicked and the Oz book series, with the Tin Man already having an identity and backstory completely different to Wicked, so they feel as completely separate ships (at least to me), so although I can see the vision with the Tin Man x Scarecrow, I’m not really seeing the vision with Boq/Fiyero :\ Before anyone misinterprets this I wanna clarify that I’m not shaming Boq/Fiyero I just simply don’t understand the appeal too much, so If there’s anyone out there out there that ships it could anyone help me see the vision?

@@hoc7262 Yeah, I get your point, I don't exactly ship them either, but it doesn't seem like a weird ship to me. I know it's not the same version of the original characters, but eventually they'll go on their own little adventure with Dorothy and everything, and I like to imagine that they'll end up becoming closer, although the musical doesn't really delve into that plot. I don't know, it's more of a headcanon of what their relationship could be, and not exactly what Wicked shows.

i do love nessa and boq because theyre absolutely terrible for eachother and it isnt either of their faults, its glinda's. nessa rose is into him because shes terrified of being alone. boq likes nessa ("i think youre wonderful") but doesnt love her, but he tries to convince himself he does ("you know what? lets dance!") and it ends... the way it ends. theyre like a miniature shakespearean tragedy in the background of a bigger shakespearean tragedy

Fiyerba will always be my otp from Wicked after watching the film because they understand each other on a deeper level. I don't mind Gelphie at all and appreciate the chemistry between them but Glinda's ambition holds her back from being with Elphaba, especially in the final scene of Part I. Their relationship speaks more doomed narrative to me, Fiyero and Elphaba's relationship is more of a forbidden love which I find more interesting. I can't wait to see As Long As You're Mine in part II, it's going to be beautiful.

I’m reading the book now but just started. Aren’t Nessa and Elphaba munchkins too? I mean their dad was the governor of munchkin land and Nessa inherited the role. Or am I wrong? I always assumed that because of their dad they were munchkins so it makes since Nessa would be the same speed as Boq/ Buck/ Bic 😂😂😂 I had to do it. Glinda cracks me up always calling him the wrong name. Like get a clue dude the chick don’t like you

I think it's different in every version of the story. But they did grow up in Munchkinland and in the musical and movie are the daughters of the govenor of Munchkinland.

@@amberthomas4839 I meant the Wicked book, musical and movie. Elphaba and Nessa don't have a background or even Names in the Wizard of Oz books and movies. But yes, the Wizard of Oz is told from Dorothys perspective, the Wicked book mostly from Elphabas and the Wicked musical and movie have the framing of Glinda telling Elphabas story to the munchkins, but is mostly from Elphabas perspective.

​@amberthomas4839 I always saw wicked as Glinda telling the love story she felt like she shared with Elphaba (hence the flash backs in the beginning of the movie). And The wizard of oz was from Dorothy's perspective. I think Glinda knew that Dorothy would end up killing Elphaba though, so Glinda thought that if she sent Dorothy down a dangerous path, that Dorothy could die instead of Elphaba. Kind of a, you made the thing happen that you were trying to prevent kind of thing.

In the book, Elphaba liked both Glinda and Fiyero. Glinda and Fiyero both liked her back. Glinda was gay in the books. At the end, it's up to the reader what happens.
