just a quick note about draw and quarter, you CAN use it on the little enemies. You just need to grab tackle them to the ground first. It basically one shots any enemy your size or smaller. Ironically it makes it more reliable than Masterful Kill as you don't have to wait for the enemy to attack you.

Formless Feint is so freaking crazy when compared to other Meister Skills. Thief become immune to everything? Oh yeah Fighter does a long combo that animation locks you. Warrior/Archer waste all their stamina on a move that probably won't even hit unless the enemy is staggered (in which case any attack is good). Spearhand/M.Archer aren't bad but they also aren't like amazing, M. Archer nukes bosses, but it's worthless against everything else. I'd say only Sorcerer and Mage get skills comparable to Thief, and even then those come at a cost (Cast/Stamina). Formless Feint costs the Thief almost nothing to maintain.

Spearhand i agree, but Magick archer not amazing ? You literally one shot any bosses. And since you can get plenty of all healing potions, its literally easy game

Idk man, on magic archer I kill dragons just as fast as he does, while only using one skill (ice seeker). I also clear out an entire dungeon/cave with 1 or 2 ricocket shots (including bosses). With the meister skill I can one shot basically any and everything xD While thief's formless feint + blades of pyre makes it great, there's still risk involved and you have to put in the work, while with magic archer you brainlessly win the game.

Concussive Leap is actually surprisingly top tier - it does obscene knockdown power for how cheap and spammable it is, not to mention setting you up for a jump attack / mount attack (where you hold down your button during a jump attack). Knockdown power is important because that’s how you open up tougher enemies for an execute, or interrupt a Drake casting spells, or bring down a Griffin so that its head is accessible, and so on. Avoid directional input while casting the skill so that you can land precisely where you started - feel free to include directional input when you feel like you’ve mastered it. Of course, if you’re happy with spamming Formless Feint + Blades of the Pyre + Skullsplitter, you can ignore everything I just said 😂

You can dodge the damage from flames of the pyre if you dodge spam backwards or sideways during the animation. This way you don't need to use formless with it. Love the thief class nice guide bro.

Concussive Leap skill is a great one to switch to at a camp nearby an area you need to jump to. Then when done switch back.

You can negate the damage from blades of the pyre by dodging away from the explosion, just spam dodge while you're casting it and make sure you're pointing away from the explosion and have just a little bit of stamina. I think it doesn't work if you have zero stamina left.

Ignited blades can be used while standing, climbing or holding down an enemy. If you’re Warfarer, the buff will apply to your other weapons. You can also cancel the attack portion with Rearmament to buff your next weapon with fire. My favorite use is to cancel Ignited Blades into switching to bow. You can pre buff and shoot a spiral arrow which sets ablaze pretty consistently in one or two shots. If you use Ignited Blades while climbing, you can still cancel to the bow and then kick off to gain distance and land the Spiral Arrow. It’s pretty basic, but probably my favorite skill.

Get a group of thief pawns with plunder and do a couple runs around the desert and volcano island and you can get a pretty fair amount of materials from beasts and ferrystones/wakestone shards from bandits. Even had a time where my pawns were able to steal two whole wakestones from a drake before felling it! A very fun skill when it comes to loot, for sure

I really love the improvements made here, like powder blast being a dagger skill that can be used whilst mounting monsters or how ensnare/implicate isn't just for small early game enemies like in the first game and can also now he used effectively on bosses

Draw and Quarter is absolutely useable on smaller, human-sized enemies. After pinning a monster by holding 'Twin Fangs', Draw and Quarter is available as a finisher. Works well on rattlers (rock saurians).

@@SheenShots I have watched some ranking videos by other creators, but most fail to dig as deep as you do. They just stay at what vocations and skills offer at face value. I would be interested in knowing your vocation tier list after you're done with all skills.

I def recommend trying out the Spite daggers. They inflict poison and when applied with Gut and Run/Draw and Quarter that poison will proc on each use until the resistance builds up.

If u have voracity augment from spear hand class on u can also have near infinite stam as killing an enemy will give u back a sizable chunk of stam. Just activate flail around when stam is low use blades of the pyre and bam the multiple kills restores stam. Useful for when pawn doesnt have master skill or it just ran out and they have not cast it again. Also note if there are little critters around like dear rabbits spiders ect. And u kill them eith votacity on it also restores stam by a nice chunk

I’m not sure about the multiple hits for draw and quarter but I do know that the animation is a stab followed but a push of the blade further in and then ripping it out as you jump away.

Love using the bomb with Drawing and Quarter. Gets you away from the explosion. They go hand in hand for me.

The delay after landing skull splitter can be cancelled with dodge core skill (R1) and the dodge doesnt use stamina

Don’t u have to hold down npcs to steal from them? Could you tell us your setup your stam is fully regenerating before you even hit the floor with skull splitter which is nuts what’s your weight and height plus rings

Also Concussive Leap + Skull Splitter = Triple Jump. Amazing for exploration and general mobility. Who needs Levitate when you can just do sick frontflips? Thief is so good it's almost unfair and I'm here for it.

I agree that thief is insane, but my personal opinion is that magic archer is the king vocation for blowing through every encounter with no sweat. you can freeze lock a drake with the first skill you get with the class, its nuts.

Hey really nice videos i wanted to ask what do you think are best pawn vocations i know mage is probably the best but what else i played a lot of dragons dogma 1 and i know that with AI it cant use many classes that great charging up skills and than just moving without reason doing stuip stuff etc i was thinking probably archer or maybe warrior but thats about it thanks for answer

#1 Mage = TONS of buffs and healing #2 Sorcerer = Dumb damage that topples bosses for you #3 Fighter = Take all enemy attention and never die #4 Thief = They kill everything so fast with skull splitter #5 Warrior = Amazing stagger but this is the on vocation that pawns tend to utilize incorrectly more often than not #6 Archer = Can be really good when set up but nothing special until later game Glad you enjoy the videos and I thank you for watching them.

Shadow veil, make pawn stop, thief and trickster passives to not be seen outside combat, 2 traitor rings, ambush passive. (and theres a back attack passive, not sure) kill anything not boss like that havent seen you yet die in one backstab. less rlevant toward the end but very fun to play.

you said it at the start, best class in the game. Op but always fun (nothing like just spam explosive arrows), has self sinergys in the kit (not like wet/oil and posion arrows that needs a mage with element or a thief with poison daggers/fire daggers), has exploration skills (smoke for get out of combat, jump, steal material and money). Has many ways to do damage while grabbed and all of theme are good and fun, unique and creative skills like smoke and rope, self element and i find it very ironic that your fake final skill can combo with the real one, the final skill it's not boring like the spearhand shield, it's a way cooler way to be invincible (like the warrior shield), cutting wind is the real deal in groups of enemys, way better to spam vs the shotgun arrows, you really feels those words when you go right and left over all you really feel like an assasin, much like fighter and mage, they are very well done (also spearhand, very fun and creative) sorcerer also it's pretty cool but i don't like that at the start you have the same spells as the mage warrior, magic archer, trickster and archer are boring for me and very mhe

One thing you didn't mention about implicate, is how often it MISSES the target. Even in your video you see it miss once, and it extremely horrible against harpies as it tends to miss far too often. It should auto target like the archer, but it doesn't, so you're left flinging the skill over and over just trying to get an elusive harpy out of the sky.

Step 1: Be in new game + Step 2: Talk to the Dragonforged and select "Improve Skill", then scroll to Formless Feint and pay Wyrmslife Crystals to improve it Step 3: Profit.

Mystic spearhand and Thief are my two favorite vocations of the game. I feel like I’m cheating when I’m playing as either one, because they make the game so easy, especially when paired with a Mage main pawn, who has high paladium (shield spell). Also try ice affinity for the tougher opponents, like sourians. Ice attacks work well or slow or freeze most opponents, even a DRAKE.

I am playing warfarer and always have smoke shroud for my pawn who is a thief, and myself. Even if I remove the skill I put it back on later. Pawn hasn't leveled mage or warrior yet, but using certain augments from fighter and archer is really effective with thief. I don't care about plunder because I'm already rich bought and leveled up most gear, and still have too many wyrmcrystals to stash since 999 is max. I'm on NG++++. (yeah I know I'm addicted) I like my pawn to use implicate, formless feint, draw and quarter and skullsplitter since I mostly try to help active players get pawn badges, and trying to hire a dragonsplague pawn to kill npc since I have 2 ps5 trophies until platinum. Too bad I checked those trophies out so late in the game. lol.

I think both of the stamina classes are simply OP as hell. Archer and thief are super easy mode, and you actually need to NOT use their great skills to have any sort of fight last for more than 5 minutes

Implicate iss best skill in thr game makes any small target 1 shooted. Kills wolves and flying stuff and ofc pulls down big monsters. I have it and spam it to kill normal enemys quicklly.

a few skills are particularly BAD on pawns tho. Blade of Pyre would eat up their HP and they aren't smart enough to also turn on Formless Feint. Smoke Shroud is not that great to me personally as it obstructs my view as well. i could handle it just fine if I were the one who uses it, but it is annoying when a pawn does that.

I think it depends on augments too. Fighter is fun but seemed really defensive/tanky even just using attack skills, and a thief doesn't need that. A good offense is the best defense. lol (In my second play of unmoored I had 2 thief pawns and a warrior and the warrior is the only one who needed to be revived killing beam dragons and lesser dragons.)

I hate Thief, because it's too strong reducing the whole game to nothing but a grind. Dunno what Capcom thought here Even without Formless Feint this class is too strong..
