I was the one who made all the family meals and fed everyone, not by choice, from a very young age. By the time all 3 of my little brothers were born, I was 9, and getting up around 4:30-5AM rushing around to bottle feed an infant, spoon feed a 1yo, and cook breakfast for myself and my school-aged brother before we had to get on the bus. Along with making sure we both had lunches packed, the formula for the infant was on the counter, and there was literally ANYTHING within reach that the stepmonster could feed the 1yo easily. And then I'd have to come home, fix a snack for 3-4 of us, and later make dinner for all 6+ of us (depended who was home at the time- if my Older sibling was visiting, if they made me cook for their friends, family members, sometimes we had various people living with us and I was expected to take care of them, too). So I definitely feel. If I had woken up and there was breakfast on the table, I would have been in absolute awe, you'd have to pry me from that seat lol

Orange juice isn't even orange naturally by the time that it's bottled/cartoned. They store it in stainless steel vats for up to a year before that, and it comes out this pale yellowish fluid, and then they color and flavor this "zombie orange juice." This is why all of these brands of orange juice, which all come from the same type of oranges, taste different. Fresh-squeezed definitely would not be that orange.

As an Australian, this video has helped me understand that Americans aren't these bizarre people that never eat their complicated breakfast and never say goodbye in phone calls 😂

Guys, guys... listen - regarding the Karate Kid breakfast, that glass had a white design in it, but it DEFINITELY had orange juice in it and NOT milk. I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but I had to come and set the record straight. They wouldn't go through the trouble of paying for product placement to then be placed by a glass of milk. Right?! Anyway LOVE YOUR WORK

I really expected the Uncle Buck breakfast to include the giant pancake he needed to flip with a snowshovel An infuriating example of the reverse of this trope is Ratatouille. Brings me to tears he doesn't get a bite of that omelet

Fun fact Eric is actually right when he says food is a lot like sex in movies, because there is actually a history of movies using food to symbolize sex back when sex scenes where not allowed in movies. Look up the film Tom Jones’ eating scene. 16:42

Fantastic idea for a video and great execution. Aside from the fact that I'd literally invert every score. That Suits breakfast was an easy 10, and that Cody breakfast is definitely a "this is all I had in the fridge", no going back for seconds.

Uncle buck - The spoon is clearly for the grapefruit and/or for stirring coffee. And the eggs are a scramble or a hash or something. Mustard is a weird addition, but that was a good breakfast. 7/10

There's an episode of Boy Meets world where them not eating the breakfast is part of the plot. The whole episode we see the whole family ignoring the giant meal Amy has prepared and at the end Cory has learned to appreciate his mom or something and sits down to eat breakfast with her. All the the breakfasts she makes are pretty top tier.
