The german: cait is not called unhinged. And mongoose is replaced with Bullenbraut. Bulle is a male cow and used as a word for police men (and women). Braut is bride but also just a word for woman, mostly used derogatory.

​@@Nazgul3001@LeagueOfSilly as a longer complement and also my guess as to why it changed from "Mongoose" to "Bullenbraut": in (most) german dubs, more focus is placed on lip movements rather than on a completely accurate direct translation, so that it fits the movements. of course, up to that point you can just translate bluntly and pay attention to lip movements, but the german dubs with really good quality adapt the translations so that what is spoken seems more authentic (to a german-speaking audience). yes, in terms of the lip movements you could have used "Manguste" (german word of mongoose), but "Manguste" is less known in german-speaking areas, which is why the joke would have been lost in german. they would probably have used "Erdmännchen" (german word of meerkat), which would have had the same meaning. but that again would not have fit the lip movements (especially because Cait's lips particularly emphasize the "O"s). in order to pay attention to the lip movements and also to keep Vi's statement, they probably used "Bullenbraut". as the above comment explains, these are two german words that are used to describe a policewoman in a derogatory way. and if im honest: for me personally, "Bullenbraut" is a much better translation than just "Mongoose" because it reflects Vi's feelings and character so much better. for me, it even makes more sense that Vi is alluding to Cait's position as an enforcer than just the appearance of an animal. (a plus point about this dub, which translates and adapts this well. there are also scenes that were translated too bluntly and clumsily from english, but there are also translations that are even better than the original dub, my opinion. for example, in season 1 episode 5, Vi jokingly commented that the meat from Jericho was definitely not organic)

In the Spanish Latin American one she actually did say rich. She just said it in a different conjugation. I'm French and i don't like the habit of French versions and subtitles of always making slight changes that alter the dinamic betweent the characters. "On the job" should've been "en service". Kaitlyn is in uniform all the time, there is no reason to point it out. Their made their whole dialogue more aggressive. "T'as rien a faire ici" is too aggressive. It means "you've got no business being here" or . It should have been "Tu ne devrais venir ici". They removed the "rich" word for some reason. And the expression "oil slick" exists in French, it's "marée noire" ; i don't know why they changed it.

ah, ich habe das zwar schon als längeren Kommentar erklärt, aber ich finde sogar, dass Bullenbraut eine besseren Übersetzung ist. Natürlich, der Witz mit Manguste/Erdmännchen geht zwar dadurch (und mit den Lippenbewegungen) verloren, aber "Bullenbraut" ist so ein Wort, dass sogar besser zu Vis Charakter und Emotionen passt. Irgendwie passt das mehr zu Vi, dass sie Cait in der Situation mehr auf Caits Vollstreckerstatus anspielt als um das Aussehen eines Erdmännchens. Vorallem wenn bedenkt, dass sie sich während der gescheiterten Vollstreckermission getrennt haben und in Anfang von Folge 5 Vi immer diese Wappen gesehen hat :'D Aber natürlich: mit der Bezeichnung "Erdmännchen" hätte ich mich richtig kaputtgelacht.
