Really nice series, Amir. Good video. For me the two best CMW albums are definitely "Straight Checkn 'Em" and "Music 2 Driveby", and imo the first named is their best. Both are almost on the same level, but "Straight Checkn 'Em " sounds a bit more raw and fresh. Basically a representation of the perfect CMW sound. Also features my fav CMW song "Compton's Lynchin'". They improved so much from their debut to this album. It's one of the best pre-G-Funk albums to me. "M2D" feels just like a continuation of that sound; sure it was a really good album just not as innovative as "SCE". Both amazing albums without a question. Glad we have a the same ranking.

Ive only heard 'Compton Thang' so far, I'll have to come back to this when I've heard all three. I was familiar with CMW when they current but like Amir said unfortunately they came on the heels of NWA so it was nearly impossible for them to not be seen as a copy even if that wasnt the case. As far as 'Compton Thang' goes I just heard it for first time 6 months ago and I was really impressed. Its like Staright Outta Compton but for adults. Its almost completely void of profanity and unnecessary tough talk which is a nice change in gangsta rap. The beats are nice and laid back and Eihts flow is unstoppable. He was already so good. The only negative about the album is the crappy recording, it needs a re-mastering badly due to poor fidelity.
