Amanda, I agree with most of your list, but omg, I feel way too deeply and know way too much about Twilight not to comment on the Jacob thing, lol. Despite saying imprinting isn't inherently romantic, Stephenie Meyer still made every single wolf and imprintee relationship we get a romantic one. There's that weird ass scene in Breaking Dawn part 2 where Jacob asks Edward if he should start calling him dad and the conversation Edward and Bella have at the end of Breaking Dawn saying, "Jacob may have some competition" when Ragitoni gets older. Smeyer just out here lying about imrpinting fr. There is no single imprinting relationship in that universe that isn't implied to be or is not romantic, so it's unfortunately very safe to assume that Jacob and Ragnarok end up together in the future.🤢 Edit: I want to disclaim that I like pre-Eclipse Jacob and acknowledge that imprinting is not a choice so I can't hold it against him, but I sure as hell will hold it against Miss racist Stephenie Meyer.

@@beella6540 I blame Stephanie Meyer more than Jacob. I mean a lot of his actions are a result of his wolf nature I guess you could say. Plus Stephanie was really trying to stop people from wanting Bella with Jacob, so she wrote him to force a kiss on Bella and then made it so he was obsessed with and in love with a literal child. I get feeling grossed out and not liking him, but for me personally I can't hate on the character entirely.

We all know Meyer only wrote it that way to justify Jake and Quill imprinting on babies. Like ‘“Oh, no it’s not inherently romantic…. For right now. We’re just these kids’ ‘protectors’. But if, when they’re older, they CHOOSE us, well that’s different!!” Just totally gloss over how that’s basically grooming. It’s fine.

@@turnipcrazy4602 I definitely think Smeyer ruined Jacob's character in Eclipse, and he kept going downhill from there. However, having Jacob imprint on ratatouille wasn't added to stop people from shipping Bella with Jacob. Jacob still imprints on retinol in the original second and last Twilight book, Forever Dawn (a book she finished and gave to her sister). It just happens later in the book. There is literally no reason for it either because he is barely in the story and hardly knows Bella. In this version, there's a time jump to after Bella graduates; Eclipse and New Moon never happened, so Edward never left, and Bella and Jacob never bonded. Imprinting is just a device Smeyer used to save repression from the wolf pack, and unfortunately, Jacob had to be the one to do it.

As a former twilight fan, it's true: in the books, it's explained that the imprint isn't always romantic. One of the males said that he'd be whatever the girl (who was like a toddler) needed him to be. Now then, the movies made it seem a little more romantic.
