The show REALLY neglected to show Ravens backstory and her life with her mom before Ever After High and her relationship with her father! Also, her relationships with Apple, Cedar, Cerise, and Maddie! Ravens whole thing in the books is that she hates the way Destiny controls everyones life, especially Hunter and Ashlynn! She sees the Royals AND Rebels as victims! She doesn't trust Headmaster Grimm and his manipulative schemes.

Even when I watched the show I was crazy confused by why everyone is assigned not only an _entire life_ but also a personality (as in the way that you will be regarded as how your parent was regarded even if your personality and behavior is the exact opposite of your parent.) That part, and I was uncomfortable with the logic of their arranged marriages... these "kids" look more like smaller versions of _one_ of their parents (the one they're clearly supposed to be based on and share a destiny with) so they're shipped with a character that is based off of their parent's romantic interest... but we're also told that these are the kids born after the character they're based on got with their romantic interest and had a kid with them, so... how is Character Based On Cinderella gonna date Character Based On Prince Charming if we're told that those characters are also brother and sister? And how are they supposed to date someone that's based off a character from a different story, since that would go against their destiny?

The show really did the Royals dirty by trying to make them unlikeable so you wouldn't sympathize with them, despite the tagline "are you a royal or a rebel?" The writers missed out on a more nuanced story.

@@KMC710-k9x It was crazy to me how many of the Royals were hypocrites, ie Ashlynn and Briar. The show was selling the image that pretty much every Royal was secretly unhappy or that what they wanted was flexible. I would've enjoyed a real conflict with more people besides Apple who wanted their storybook ending and the rebels were against it because it either hurt someone else immediately or had dangerous consequences further down the line.

I HATE IT TOO GODD. Their biggest mistake was making it so Royals who aren't against the Rebels are classified as Rebels, it just kills off any possibility of nuance

@@anacecherry I think there should be more Roybel characters. Like characters who want to follow their destiny but change it up a little bit. For instance, Briar be the next Sleeping Beauty, but have her sleep only last for 2 days

@@KMC710-k9x NGL, I always hated the "roybel" title implying that wanting to follow your destiny while tweaking it is in some way "rebellion." I feel like that should still count as Royal, and that would ADD layers to the story with the two sides rather than creating another category you have to fall into to be considered "a good person."

Mostly a book reader, not a webisode watcher here, and I love that you put Blondie so high because she's incredible. Habitual thief, liar, and trespasser, easily breaks and enters (through magic actually in the books), super nosy---but still very sweet and genuine and sympathetic. Like she is a great morally bankrupt friend who isn't even mean or malicious, and I don't think I've seen someone like that anywhere else. Usually the morally bankrupt friend is at least kind of a jerk, but not Blondie, really (or at least not on purpose).

I do loved Ever After High Series but I am disappointed that ever after high series was cancelled because there's so much things that need to be resolved before the series will finally end like revealing Cerise Hood's family secret, Who's Apple's destiny Prince, how Darling became the white knight, the Ever After High graduation day and show what they doing in the future now, but unfortunately this is not going to happen so the writers decided to end with the cliff hanger.

With apple I feel like she completely gaslights raven which is quite obvious and is shown a lot throughout the show of her not caring of ravens ‘happily’ ever after and only her own which really irritated me throughout the show and tbh ruined my image of her. But she still gets better but it still sits in the back of my head through her redemption.

Fun fact 1: Ramona's coloured streak is cherry (Cerise), tying her to her sister. Fun fact 2: Going off of the Shannon Hale books, Cerise was supposed to be the next Big Bad Wolf (these books were written *before* Ramona was in the picture). EG: Cerise is turned into a dog in "A Wonderlandiful World", while others who didn't have destinies that were specifically spelled out to us changed into hints for their destinies (Daring urns into a 'little *beasty*'). Plus, Cerise shows off more wolf traits than Ramona (glowing gold eyes, growling, snarling, howling, etc)

Right! We only got a crossover in an Ever After High book. However, that EAH x MH crossover involved G2 Monster High when Frankie + Draculaura owned the school.

Raven wasn’t selfish for not wanting to poison her own friend,Get chased by mobs and jailed like her mother forever after,while apple got to live her dreams as the next queen. She saw her density being chained up like an animal and being feared in isolation. Nobody wants that and apple fearing the void and the unknown is everyone’s regular fear but she still wanted to make raven sign the book knowing she will get to be in the light, also her being upset with Ashlyn because she choose love instead of destiny she (apple) is morally grey for me while raven just wants to choose what her story plays out. (My opinion)

I love Ever After High. I think everyone is a bit of both royal and rebel, and I think that's the whole point. I don't just like Apple because she is a brat.

What I really like about this show (aside from the amazing animation and designs) is the fact that people are grouped into royals and rebels "good and bad" yet there's not a single character thats 100% good or 100% bad there's no antagonist or protagonist all characters have their flaws and some have back stories that can justify their actions and for a kids show its brilliant to see that because irl its the same Unlike 99% of cartoons and kids shows and movies there's always a hero and a villain Edit: I change my mind Madline hatter is the perfect character🤪

I love all the characters of Ever After High. They're all number one to me. If I had to pick a quick top 10 list of characters I like the best, I would go for (in no specific order): 1. Madeline Hatter (no explanation necessary) 2. Apple White (never hated her, never will) 3. Raven Queen (Great character journey to go through) 4. Ramona Badwolf (BADASS character design) 5. Faybelle Thorn (my favorite bad girl) 6. Farrah Goodfairy (total sweetheart, should have been introduced in chapter 1) 7. Holly O'Hair (in universe fangirl) 8. Darling Charming (slightly derivative warrior princess trope, needs better writing and a boyfriend, but still love her anyway) 9. Rosabella Beauty (unapologetic Disney references throughout, and the only girl who got kissed onscreen) 10. Crystal Winter (lovable lady, complete opposite of Elsa, and my first doll)

Apple White is my second favorite character too, I feel so sorry for her, she got meiumbalite by her mom, headmaster grim and the evil queen, she's 15 and I know she makes mistakes even thought she docent get until she get's to know someone who's her friend to lover, she's tetarmed to make things right, at least her sing is so beautiful and perfect, I mean every guy love's her, I made Darling Charming and Apple White a couple I wish they made it officially but one can dream, if I date that princess I beat that she smells like caramel Apples and caramel is her perfume santed, her and I are huge sweet tooth no wonder her kisses tease sweet and Tander, and her singing will put me to sleep anytime if I had a sad, angry, or a stressful day and her skin is so soft, her heart beat has a nice rhythm, and she will keep me safe if I had a nightmare Happy Pride Month every creauter

@TwylaBoogeyMan Thank you for pointing out that Raven doesn't get a break from her destiny! At all! It's also annoying how Raven's entire life is controlled by her destiny to the point she seems trapped! In the books she wonders if anyone else feels this way and on Legacy day her reaction to Ashlynn crying was that Ashlynn was in love with Hunter and was ALSO someone who felt trapped by her story as well! So it’s Ravens empathy and self-determination that lead to her decision to rebel and not sign the story book of legends! Raven sees destiny as a way of controlling people and keeping them down. People talk about Apple having more depth in the books but forget Ravens! She has depth too!

The webisodes and Netflix series are one in the same, only Netflix is where they began to put the specials after Thronecoming rather than on KZbin. There's a good playlist on KZbin with all of the webisodes in chronological order, but after Thronecoming you do have to hop around a bit to watch the other specials.

Headmaster Grimm is my least favorite character! In the show and in the books he will always be my least favorite! He should pay for what he's done! Locking his brother underneath the school, putting a spell on him, identity theft, and the WORST thing? Banishing Maddie to PUNISH Raven! Granted Raven and Apple end up saving the day, but STILL! Headmaster Grimm is SICK! Bro literally impersonated someone in the books!

@@obehiikhigbonoaremen1241 in Blondie’s just right, Blondie wants to prove that giants can’t dance, so she brings Duchess and Tiny with her to prove it for her show. Tony is actually good at dancing so Grimm tries to blind Tiny nearly crushing Duchess. Headmaster would’ve possibly caused Tiny to kill everyone had more people were there. This could’ve traumatized Tiny too since he’s really the gentle giant character. Also does anyone else wish we could’ve seen more of him? Like I remember Jillian saying she had a crush on him and we missed the chance to have a child of a villain date the child of a protagonist

The goats or piglets thing bugs me so much!!!! Why? And in addition the youngest piglet had an episode and that one wasn't ever dubbed in any country outside of the U.S. As if pigs were offensive or something and I hate that thought, since I like pigs.
