Awesome video mate. Just discovered your channel as I go in and out of coaster-curiosity every now and then. I think with your channel I’m learning a lot and super entertained by the genre, mainly because of the knowledgeability and quality presentation in your videos.

I have actually ridden a coaster made by Dinn. Pegasus at Efteling, just a few months before it would be closed and scrapped and replaced by Joris en de Draak. Pegasus was a rough ride though.

No Martin & Vleminckx coasters??? You should check out Leviathan at Sea World Gold Coast Australia.

Leviathan is a Gravity Group. M&V are their own company but largely their wooden coasters are just Gravity Groups that they handled the construction of - kind of like how Giovanola handled construction on some Intamin coasters back in the day.

@ Leviathan like other M&V wood coasters are engineered by the Gravity Group but are manufactured by M&V. There’s many design firms that create rides for manufacturers.

True, but would you consider Shockwave at Drayton Manor to be a Giovanola or an Intamin? Because Intamin designed it, and Giovanola manufactured it, hence the box-spine track. I respect your opinion on it, there's a big grey area as to what to label a coaster when multiple manufacturers are involved, but since M&V have their own portfolio of rides that largely doesn't involve woodies, and their only wooden coasters are all Gravity Group designs that they've simply taken care of the manufacturing of, I consider them a sub-contractor in that regard and therefore group them in as Gravity Group coasters, just like I consider Shockwave an Intamin, not a Giovanola. Edit: Just to be clear, I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong or anything, but for the purposes of the ranking I grouped M&V with GG, so Leviathan was considered for the ranking but is ranked lower than Voyage

@@MaloneysCoasters I understand that and respect it. I guess my understanding and classification of a manufacturer is the company that sells, manufactures and supplies the ride to the parks rather than the design firm’s engineering them. Great video though.

@@MaloneysCoastersyeah. It’s confusing. For me, since both manufacturers did a lot of work to make the coaster come to life, I credit them both for it, which is why I count leviathan as a gg/mv rides

Wisdom Rides’ best coaster should be Tiger Terror at Safari Land. Tiger Terror is an absolute banger.

Cedar Point is not my favorite park or even in my personal top 10 overall. (I prefer more highly themed parks so that's just a personal taste.) But Steel Vengeance deserves this spot. I keep hearing people say it's been outclassed by rides like Iron Gwazi, Airie Force One or some newer Intamin and MACK coasters. But I disagree. My personal favorite coaster is X2 but if I step back from that, I don't think there is a more complete, impressive and well rounded coaster out there than Steel Vengeance.
