Loved 2 stones, the branching storyline is what really did it for me. And Ephram is one of the only heroes with spear in the entire series

If you’re talking Lords who *start* with lances… it’s him and Dimitri. Chrom and Lucina can get them when they promote, as can Eliwood, but they aren’t primarily Lance-wielders. With retrospect, I kinda wish that Eliwood *had* been one given in FE6, his S-rank was in lances as a Paladin… Also because him using Maltet would have been neat; it feels like they made him more Roy-lite on purpose and while it’s not bad, I do wish the sword Durandal (yet another blade associated with fire) wasn’t his legendary weapon of choice.

Great video and rankings! I would love to get a ranking of the optional Boss characters that you can acquire by beating the Valni Tower and the difficult dungeon 3 times each.

I think I agree with this list for the most part. Though I'd personally feel different on some changes: I know people pick on Forde a lot, but for some reason, every playthrough found a great number of uses for him. idk how I can explain it better than that. To me, a more solid unit than I think people give him credit for. Lute is definitely a character that I think should be higher. Fast Recruitment, gnarly Magic User, especially early game, M.Knight makes her a walking jack-knife as even if she isn't the main source of Magic Damage, her being a staff-slave is always good. Plus the obligatory mention of horseback. Rennac is an odd one. Thief-types typically only get reserved for either Axe-heavy Maps, or castle stages. Ig either Colm or Rennac fit this role perfectly, but to me, I think they're weirdly interchangeable. And I won't lie, Gilliam has been one of the most unkillable forces of nature I ever seen in FE, DEF wise. Around Chapter 16, I put Gilliam in chokepoints, and just witness on how many "NO DAMAGE" prompts are flashed when the enemy attempts to swing at this unmovable wall. Yeah, he can't double, and unless you grant him Strength Item Buffs or hand him endgame weapons, he's not reliably one-rounding enemies either. So it's mainly a choice of what you want. Great job on this list!

Big benefit of of Neimi is she is the only OB user in the game and you can get her promoted before route split easily.

I definitely enjoy the vibes of this list. Sacred Stones was my intro to Fire Emblem as well so a lot of these units have a special place in my heart. Love these tier lists and getting to know how these characters filter through your point of view. I will say, I know it’s not a view a lot of people share, but the tower and the ruins were a big part of my enjoyment for this game. I love that I could have the opportunity to use all the characters in a play through if I wanted to and just create an op army.

Oh, yeah; I also decided, on my most recent run, to see how much I could train Orson in 5x and see how he does… somehow he dodged so much (and such good growths) I was able to get him to Level 16 - with three one-use Elixirs left for Ephraim/Forde/Kyle… He took and evaded so much the mooks lasted forever. Still no idea how I did that; I was expecting to Peter out at Lv 10, but daaaaamn…

The fact that canonically, Garcia was such a legend in his prime that he humbled a young Gerik (he’s all but stated as the one who gave him that scar) really shows how much you won’t stay peak forever.

9:06 So while not his main weapon Sigurd can use lances in FE4 and I believe Seliph can too on promotion. Chrom and Lucina also get lances on promotion in Awakening too. But if you meant lances as their main weapon then yeah Ephraim was the first "lance lord"

On my 4th hard mode playtrough, every time i have vanessa go wyvern rider she ends up being probably my best unit even oit of super recruits. Add a fili shield and hoplon guard she solos all of the later levels, even reiv and morva. And her crit pierce with vidofnir insta kills demon king. I can even solo CC with her which i can also do with Super trainee berserker ross but takes way longer due to movement. Vanessa almost never gets hit at all either. SS tier for vanessa easy!

No arguments here. Amelia and Ross are the bamf, and Joshua is probably my favorite SS character, so A tier is acceptable. I’ve been hoping for a Echos for ages, that flame is never gonna die. Class tier list next?

I think you have a good read on the units of FE8. We only disagree on a few units: Neimi, Vanessa, Myrrh, and the staff users (L’Arachel especially). The funny thing is I’ve never used Seth long term in my playthroughs haha. It feels like “easy mode”

In most FE games, they’d have the right amount of different Cavalier->Paladin with the numbers here… but Seth is *so good* it’s almost boring to use him. I mean, I guess he’s not *quite* TG Cid of FFT fame levels of busted, but even so.
