A few things: -The repair tool is good in the fact that although the driver can repair his vehicle, it takes ages to do so AND can be interrupted. The repair tool fixes that. -K-Bullets are meant to be used to disable the parts of vehicles like the engine and interrupt repairs. I've also used them to take out artillery trucks solo.

K bullets can disable turrets from tanks and behemots, stop them from repairing and if you doble tap them you sicle a bullet out of the rifle so you can reload a striper clip instead of shooting it or reloading 3 - 4 bullets individualy

Once as a scout I deployed a shield down for my friend who was a support gunner and I kid you not, he got a 30-40 killstreak just protecting a hallway in Fort de Vaux. It would be nice if you got assists when a teammate uses it.

@I exist if anything, you’d want to have the skill to not down the plane but kill the pilot. Then again, there’s also the fact that there may be other occupants in the plane and depending on their awareness, they may or may not notice the pilot is dead and take over.

K bullets are weak but certainly the most viable sniper gadget After the flare to me, maybe because i'm an aggressive sniper. The damage is low, but It stops tanks from repairing and saves a shot from the at Rocket if you hit all 5 of them( never use k bullets with the lebel)

Trench perescope can be really useful for Artillery vehicles when there's a flag cap going on.Measuring distance can be important for Artillery truck players who know the close bullet drop of the shell and marking on the minimap with the Trench perescope can also be very useful.

Agreed. I use it primarily when I’m sniping to figure out what I should set my zeroing distance to (for any distance that looks between 150m and 300m) and how much I need to compensate for bullet drop.

Your argument about the repair tool is not objective at all.The driver's repair shit is completely useless in a real fight.Because a single fucking tick can prevent you from repairing.That doesn't happen with the repair tool at all.And if you're afraid of getting shot then use the squad support landship.It has an iron thing on it which protects you from the bullets if you are on the tank under that thing and repairing the tank.

Remember, the repair tool is the only way to get stationary weapons back up, which can make a HUGE difference, especially on operations. Between that and the ability to partner with a tank to actively repair it while it's under fire and it can make a substantial strategic difference. The Trench Periscope is very similar. If you position yourself well, you can 3D spot the entire enemy team pushing objectives.

FreeRangeLemon I only use it at the back of the maps and preferably with iron sight rifles. Most people's aim on PS4 is pretty horrid so I've had a good run with it. That being said its still not a great gadget by any means.

A actually use the flash flare when I need to switch cover from enemy fire or run away from enemy fire, also you can use it in tight rooms full of enemies as it also burns, I have quite a few kills with it lol

I agree, Snipers in Battlefield should snipe. Nothing wrong with camping as long as you're helping your team. That being said, one of the best things DICE did with BF1 is getting rid of Recon's Spawn Beacon so snipers would be forced to PTFO. (Also, bolt-action rifles in BF1 can legitimately be used from any range, so you can play the objective as Scout and still be just as effective)

You forgot to mention that the spot flare gun can cause damage to infantry and get kills as well. I love the flare gun. It spots enemies and can also burn the enemy and block passages for enemies to not want to run over your flare and also when you go to an ammo kit it replaces flares very quickly and you can literally spam the gadget.

The repair tool is useful when you're in a tank squad, you can get out in a smoke screen and fix the tank so the driver can still shoot. Also in heavy bombers you can repair the plane while the driver still moves.

I know it seems late, but the repair tool is pretty damn useful. When doing repairs, the driver can't really do anything. The repair tool buys them time incase they need to pull back, or allow them to stay in position while taking damage. It's especially useful on the heavy bombers, where the passenger can repair the aircraft, so the pilot can maneuver to get the gunners a target. Realized I posted years ago, but I feel this comment is better informed.

I saw the flash flare used really well recently, my team was invading a castle on a hill and the defending team put a flare behind them and we couldn't see them but they could see us

Huh I didn't realize the flash was one way. That would actually be a great way to hold choke points. Shoot it behind your team like on Fort de Vaux to blind attackers. Or if attacking on a bunker after grenades have already been thrown by both sides.

The armour piercing round is to interruot the repairing process

The scout decoy is meant to have its stick hidden and either peaking over objects such as walls or a rock of some sort to cover it or when there isn't any cover, you could use it when you're prone which minimises the stick size. The scout decoy is mostly meant for longer distances because its glint when looking directly at it hides the fact that it's a decoy.

Lowkey if you prone out and place the sniper decoys far away, all the enemy scouts can only see the scope glint, so it is a pretty decent distraction on operations like on fao fortress

TBAG [Epic Gaming] It is more of a passive tool rather than the aggressive style of the weapons and gadgets of the assault class. For example: the smgs and shotguns are close range aggressive weapons, and the rocket guns, dynamite, and AT grenades are meant to be used in the moment that the player sees a vehicle that they want destroyed rather than waiting for it to come along. The support class, however, has weapons that are meant for a longer ranged attack and defense. The ammo crates and pouches are used for resupplying, the mortars are long ranged(and ever since the nerf they usually don’t do one-hit-kills from 100 hp), and the limpet charge leans more closely to a assault gadget, but I guess support can’t only have a more passive style. What I am trying to say is the AT mines are very passive and fits more to the play style of someone who likes to put up a bipod and wait for targets rather than someone who goes to find their own target. But still, a great video as usual!

I'd love to see DICE fix the flash flare since I think it would be a really cool tactic. Here's how: 1. MAKE IT COMPATIBLE WITH THE SPOT FLARE. This step is extremely important because who the fuck is going to use this if it disallows them from picking the best gadget in the game alongside it? 2. Give them more ammo. Unlike the spotting flare, the flash flare is not very powerful and doesn't last very long, so the player needs more of them to be effective for longer periods of time. I'd suggest 4 or 5. 3. Change the blind mechanic so that there's a clean, sharp border between blinded and seeing well. This makes it more useful because the scout can plop it down and then kill the blinded enemies without worrying about being slightly blind himself. 4. Make it burn enemies more than the spotting flare. This will add to the confusion of target enemies as they are randomly set on fire (with significant effect) if they accidentally step on the flare. Also it will make the flash flare have a unique use as the "set people on fire" gun. 5. Make it make a weird, loud fizzling sound to further confuse enemies and give it more "cool factor", and again, uniqueness. This isn't as important. 6. Enjoy another cool tactic added to the game! I think that this new flash flare would help relieve the bunkers on Monte Grappa, since if the attacker fire a couple into the bunkers, they will cause chaos and the defenders won't be able to throw more explosives or return fire accurately for several seconds, allowing the attackers to get in and sort the situation. If you've read this all, well done! TL;DR: I think the flash gun should be buffed so that it is usable because it would make for a cool tactic.

The trench periscope and flash flare are actually extremely useful in one specific mode. Operations with standard rifles. The zoom from the periscope and spotting defending players camped on the object while protected can make a massive difference in a forward push. The flash flare can also push everyone off a ridge if aimed effectively.

I like the scout's flare gun. I've used it to prevent enemies from moving through entrances. The decoy seems interesting though I've never used it, but you'd have to find a wall in a remote area to use it (and all it will do is use up their ammo).

i love the flash flare gun. It creates a huge chaos when you shoot it in a building and then run in with your melee weapon and it is sometimes pretty good against a person who keeps focussing on you

I co Sider the repair tool one of the most important equipments in the game. As a tank, my purpose is to break through enemy lines and I can't do that if one of the assaults that makes up 80% of the enemy team damages me and I have to retreat to repair myself. It gives the enemies a chance to spawn/get revived. Any and every time I have a support behind me repairing me it turns the tide of the fight. I win every tank battle and it usually ends in victory for the team because I can do my job as a tank

The periscope is very useful if you find a good spot lime a crater on galicia or Fao. Or the hills in Soma in the trenches. It even outlines spotted targets which makes the foliage concealed snipers easier to headshot. Also i've crippled trains and tanks with K bullet and proudly killed 2 land ships.

I think the flare gun flash is pretty useful, it may not spot, but you can put it in front of you to blind enemy snipers, because when they use the scope it will blind them, secondly if you need cover you can shoot it at someone to blind them and proceed to run to cover.

The rifle grenade or the crossbow grenades are one of my favorites where the defensive side can camp in tight areas. For example on Ballroom Blitz it's really nice to launch them into the bunkers.

I'm using repair wrench all the time! You can annoy enemy armors with it. Capturing abbandoned vehicles is pretty often too.

the repair tool is mega useful on vehicle maps... in 1v1 tank fights you can keep your own tank's health up while they keep firing. This is a MASSIVE bonus since you're bound to win every tank fight and after that it's just pure tank dominance for your own team.

Blind flare is underrated, you can use it to hide trip wire bombs, plus it lights people on fire better than the spotting flare, further hurting them so the tripwire kills them easier. I use it to bottlneck areas because most people dont expect to get caught on fire with the flare if they step over it. Gas bomb+tripwire firebomb+fireflare :)

I like the scout gadgets, partially because I'm a dirty filthy camper myself. It's a valid strategy, and definitely more realistic than just charging in guns blazing. I like playing as a sniper, and finding a position that allows me to pick off enemies that may be hidden from my teammates. I also support the team by being a kind of lookout, spotting enemies as much as I can and taking out enemy snipers. I usually run with the spot flair and HE tripwire, although for my long-range loadout exchange either one for a shield. One of the reasons why I play BF1 over other FPS games is because it allows me to play in this way and avoid CQB, which I suck at. On maps were scout just isn't viable, I will usually play medic, and focus on supporting and reviving teammates more than getting kills.

I remember using the snipe shield decoy on the giants shadow map on conquest, when we were holding d and c, enemies were trying to get in, but I deployed it on the rails and started blasting the enemies.

The sniper shield has actually helped me a lot. I was with it once in a whole getting kill streaks and they could never once get me :). Never found that sweet spot again tho :(

Came back 5 years later to watch this. The trench periscope is actually pretty useful when going up against other snipers or bipod machine guns, as you can find out where they shot you from the first time.

i love the repair tool! im not sure i would rank it top 3, or even if it should be included in this list, but it can also repair some doors and the large fortress guns. and the ability to repair howitzers and AA is super clutch. there's nothing like surprising a tank that thought they had nothing to worry about a broken down howitzer, then BOOM! your footage shows you have a good command of the game's combat systems and map flow, and i enjoy your countdowns, but i really think you should have consulted with some well known pro players before you finalized your lists. in many of your other videos, you display a lack of knowledge about many of the less topical and deeper mechanics that make BF1 such a phenomenal shooter. a couple examples that come to mind are your tellingly low placement of the horse in the vehicles countdown, your placement of the infiltrator elite class so far down in that video (not to mention the absolutely baffling placement of trench raider ahead of tank hunter) and your total lack of even mentioning the secret hidden revolver in your pistol countdown. i know it's all preference based, but i just cant fathom it! at any rate, thanks for your vids. BF1 is an incredible game, as evidenced by the fact that there's fanatics like us still playing in 2021
