Actually one time I was on that one forest map infantry only. I had a flame trooper kit and i was on the American side. And my team was failing to capture the objective if it was captured they had to retreat to the next sector. And I charged with my flame trooper and started burning all the people camping at that objective and managed to take the sector so I basically was responsible for capturing that sector.

I'd say most of these classes can be situational. The flame trooper could potentially fill in the role of area denial or cleaning out tight spaces, and the infiltrator could be used to heavily support your team. Those spawn beacons can really be a difference maker.

Usually I get the flame trooper in Argonne forest or even Amiens, it is godly on those maps. I do think that the Trench raider would be good on those maps too.

Trench Raider is just the best. The fact that it has a medkit should be enough but no Dice also decided to make it faster than the normal soldiers and have the same damage reduction as the Sentry. And to top it all off: 1 hit kill no animation melee.

MG.08/15 Sentry Elite Class can be god tier if used correctly! I’ve gone on absolute tears, and he can hold down a corridor really well due to his armour and access to a rather heavy hitting lmg that holds two hundred rounds. One of the best maps to use him is Fort Deuveuax (Hope I spelled that correctly.) due to the long corridors that contain very little cover. But there is one thing that reigns above all elite classes: The bayonet!

The MG 08/15 is by far my favorite elite class, in a beast with this machine gun. To be honest, the perosa is really good but you can’t go in major fights with is because of it’s small magasine. If you get headshots with the mg, you can kill enemies as fast as the perosa and your magazine is insane

I think the flamethrower shines in bunkers because it is perfect for blocking off enemy soldiers trying to go through the doorway and if you were to be playing with friends they could flank from the side to catch the enemy players

Here’s my list: 1. Flame trooper. I love flamethrowers, and with this elite class was the first time I got a good number of kills with an elite class. 2. Sentry MG 08. This is my most common elite class pick up and I always get a lot of kills with it. 3. Tank hunter. Perfect to have when fighting tanks and it’s main weapon can also be used as a sniper rifle. 4. Infiltrator. Haven’t had much experience with this one, but I did great when me and my team were pushing along some docks. 5. Sentry villar perosa. Just don’t have anything to say about this one, but I still can get a lot of kills with it 6: trench raider. Still love it as an elite class, but the melee aspect can be a disadvantage.

Radovan Ostrodický Sentries are immune to Melee strikes from the from.If you try to hit a Sentry with a melee weapon when you can't do a Takedown,the weapon won't deal a damage.It will simply bounce off.Non of other elite classes can do that.

Bc yes you’re right, round just starts, you and a few others rush to an OBJ across the map only to also face an Elite Class that also rushed ahead. Either you try to bayonet charge it, or watch each one of you die one by one like a horror movie.

Just to say I'm not a 100% convinced by your list but you make some serious good points. In the eventuality you'd still play bf1, using the sentry SMG, I suggest you play much, MUCH, more agressively with it. The best results I had with it was carrying a team push on Amiens, killed 15+ people thanks to my medic. It's more of a "FOLLOW ME GUYS !" class than a : "Y'all struggling ? Hold my beer" class.

Different jobs require different playstyles. The elite kits are essentially just an exaggeration of the base classes. The MG08/15 sentry is good when there are lots of guys to shoot at and suppress over a long period of time that would require you to peek your head out. So it can take the most damage, and dish out sustained fire. But it can't handle closer quarters where the bodycount can overwhelm it with melee, which it's weak to from behind, or gas. The perosa sentry is very good for rushes moving from one objective to another in tighter spaces where you will be reacting to fire. It's weaknesses are evenly ballanced because the enemy isn't supposed to know where you are initially. The Flame Trooper is a siege unit much like how one wuld be implemented in real life, they are good at setting up outside of a bunker or a house, spraying inside, then advancing after a few seconds of fire, and with it having unlimited ammo, this means the protracted burning out of a point of argon forrest is perfect... Yet for some reason it's always placed in the middle of nowhere like B point on Siani desert... The Tank hunter is very well suited for killing tanks. It takes between 4 and 6 shots to do so, assuming you are 90 degrees from the target, and in a pinch you are also an amazing sniper with no glint, but at mid range you will get spammed out by anyone else. The Trench Raider is god tier in all of the maps it appears in, because all the maps it appears in are purely close quarters, or on the case of rupture, segmented close quarters. The mace and medic bag allow it to lock down a point and hold, or pop it's three smoke, and bust a congested point. It's obvious flaw is a lack of range. If it made appearances on maps like galacea, Suez, or Cape Hellas, it would get sniped at constantly or mortarred into oblivion. The Infiltrator is arguably the strongest elite from a team oriented standpoint. Massive kill potential, anti tank capable, and a spawn beacon, along with the close quarters shotgun... Like really, that kind of power only goes unnoticed on the chaotic maps of Achi Baba, Cape Hellas, and Helgoland's blight. If it was in the base maps, people would be beyond pissed, like on argon when C point get's hit with artillery, and then A point has two whole squads pop up, or on Amien when the ally between C and D all of the sudden is unpassable.

You know what's funny? I found a glitch in the game (I dont know if they fixed it) where occasionally the gasmask would glitch out and the look of the mask wouldnt be on the screen but the gas mask protection and its effects would still be there. So the annoying look of the mask on the screen wouldnt be there AND you can see so much more around you. This glitch would also go for the flamethrower elite also! And let me tell you, it makes that elite class so much more powerful.

It shoots both barrels at the same time. One "bullet" on the hud equals two bullets in the game much like the twin mg08s in the rear of the a7v heavy tank. You have 50 bullets shooting out. It's either dev laziness, a compromise of code regarding ammo consumption, or simply balance. It's probably the 3rd. You could have alternating barrels firing so you'd have a 50 round "magazine" but that might mean a skilled player may more easily control their fire and conserve ammo making the class far more deadlier than it should be.

Once my friends and I were playing Monte Grippa. I got the Vila elite class. Then my friend got the Wex. With ammo resupplies and health packs, nobody could stop us in the mountain forts.

Found a server with unlimited mags on, in Sinai desert. Picked up the Tank hunter kit. Killed literally anything that got close. Taking out bombers, tanks, AA's and even managed to take out the train (with help of course). Didn't get top of leaderboard, but damn does it feel good being an unstoppable monster on a cliffside

What i think of every one: Sentry MG08/15: I totally agree. It doesn't do what an elite class should do. shred through those enemies. Flame Trooper: I also agree with this. Although it looks awesome, it isnt that practical in combat. Inflitrator: meh... it's alright i think Sentry Villa Perosa: I still get hit by a level 3 bayonet charging to get around the map... Tank Hunter: I LOVE this elite class. It's so useful, and i usually survive very long with this. Trench Raider: If you are amazing at dodging and weaving enemy bullets and bayonets, then you're going to do prettttty well. Thanks for reading my comment!

I personally think both sentries are the worst classes. The Villar-Perosa sentry scores higher because of the weapon being much faster (RoF and Reload Time), but overall, both have the same weaknesses. The Flame Trooper scores higher because neither fire grenades nor gas grenades work on this class, and the Wex flammenwerfer is very well suited for close encounters. I'd even put it above the Trench Raider in terms of range, even though it doesn't have as much range as the other classes, if not for the fact the Trench Raider has the ability to heal himself. The Infiltrator scores the same as the Trench Raider because of the artillery signal flare gun, the Martini-Henry Grenade Launcher sucks, even though it is one of the most fun weapons to use, not as useful as I personally have predicted it would be. Now, the real MVP is the Tank Hunter. Dangerous at all ranges, can threaten both infntry and vehicles, has a one-hit-kill BFG, all the goodies. Suits well for players who like to keep their distance and still cause, as one famous guy would say, "A LOTTA DAMAGE". My list, from top (best) to bottom (worst) is: -Tank Hunter -Trench Raider/Infiltrator -Flame Trooper -Sentry with Villar-Perosa -Sentry with MG08

The infiltrator wreaks havoc in operations. Due to his ability to call in the mortar strikes, which can cover half of an objective, you are guaranteed at least one kill if you know how to aim the damn thing. Especially on choke points. His spawn beacon helps out with teammates quickly returning to the frontlines on operations to keep the aggression going. His grenade launcher is great for spamming into objectives and keeping the enemy from staying in one place and having to keep them moving around which can jeopardize their cover and allow your teammates to pick them off. And with the grenade launcher capability with medium to mid long range, and his mortar strike capable at any range, and his secondary giving him an aggressive play style at close range with probably the best shotgun in the game in my opinion. I have once gotten 15 kills with one mortar strike in operations, and I picked off a couple of survivors with the grenade launcher. If use properly, the infiltrator is by far the most influential elite class in the entire game with aoe capability, anti armor weapons, anti infantry weapons, and even a spawn beacon for teammates.

I know I'm pretty late and play on a different setup (pc), but I love the flametrooper especially on maps like Argon Forest because of the tightness of the map. You can rack up some insane killstreaks with the Wex and fire nades if the enemy is holed up in one of the fortresses. Also same with the MG-08 15 sentry.

My list is No.1 Tank Hunter: As long as you have a semi reliable source of ammo you can wreck havoc on Infantry and Vehicles alike, though the lack of any medium range weapons can be limiting. No.2 Infiltrator: The Martini-Henry Grenade Launcher can be hard to use at medium range, but the spawn beacon and artillery more then make up for this. No.3 and 4 Sentry SMG/Raider: Though the Recoil can be challenging to overcome and not having access to a gas mask can really hurt, the Perosa has the rate of fire to shred through anyone in your cross hairs/Though the Raider needs to get close to the enemy to be effective, flanking can allow a raider to wreck havoc. No.5 Flametrooper: Though the ability to lock down enclosed spaces is very impressive, the Flame Trooper has a EXTREMELY low range, making them a No Go on most maps, though complete immunity to both gas and fire cannot be completely ignored. No.6 Sentry LMG: Though still able to do much for a team, the Sentry LMG has a fire rate that allows standard infantry to inflict decent damage going down. And when you have to reload, you spend a decent time completely defenseless. Along side having one grenade when other elites have three and being unable to use a gas mask. I couldn't decide if the raider and Sentry SMG should be in third or fourth so I grouped them together.

The flame trooper isn't restricted to close-quarters battles, that's what your three incendiary grenades are for. However, them combined with the flamethrower and its complete immunity to both fire and gas makes it very good at leading a push, as the wex does a lot of damage with constant direct hits. I'd say it's better than even the SMG sentry, which suffers from the same gas/fire issue as the other sentry and is also somewhat slow, as well as that the wex takes quite some time to overheat, never reloads and never runs out of ammo so you can just hold down the fire button for quite some time. I have a lot of time on the flame trooper, though, so I might just be better with it than many others. Used properly, the tank hunter is also the best - even a headshot from most sniper rifles won't kill it, so it can still duck behind cover and heal, and the tankgewehr is immensely powerful, as is the shotgun it has, and it comes with 3 grenades and a few AT grenades as well as the trench periscope, which is amazing for finding enemies which try to pin you down - machine gunners, snipers, even armor has a hard time if you simply highlight them and let your team distract them before coming in with the real damage. It's also very powerful against other elites - the tankgewehr can out-1v1 the SMG sentry or flame trooper at long and medium range, and close range if you're good with it.

Looking back, I find it weird that they never made an elite class based on the German stormtroopers. Then again, I can scarcely imagine the collective anguish of the playerbase if they made a kit that casually carries around fifteen grenades.

I'd say the Trench Raider class suffices as a German Stormtrooper class: - Close-Ranged capabilities. (Stormtroopers were known for their brutal trench fights. Most just carried melee weapons and grenades) - Fast units. (Stormtroopers carried little equipment to maximize mobility) - Carries grenades. (Stormtroopers are also known for expertly clearing trenches via grenades)

As a guy who gets his kicks simply by pushing the enemy back I have to say the Sentry MGO815 is my favorite on account of it's teamwork capabilities, of course this may fall through on a few accounts and for that I still agree it deserves last place, however in writing this I hope to emphasize how that doesn't exactly mean it's bad because last place often implies that with most people. The amount of suppression I've managed to put on snipers on ridges, bridges, hills whether we're fighting up the battlefield or down has often (I like to believe) given my team enough time to cross an open space, firing in large bursts means I never truly suffer over heating, LMG sweatlords hate me cause I actively make a point to tank 1v1's with them, he has some of the best armor so I'm always the first down a corridor and with the amount of people behind me ONE OF THEM HAS TO BE A MEDIC!! sorry...I do believe in the order of your list, I just hope people recognize the use in a character that isn't as good at killing people as he is doing the things I listed. I personally like the flame trooper because it has decent damage, not the best but still good range, but is very good at one thing in particular, close quarters.
