The thing with Darth Maul is that you can be standing in the middle of an empty mos Eisley street, on full health, as a hero, and all of a sudden, a double bladed lightsaber flies through the air, hits you twice and you're dead, with Maul nowhere in sight

I'd be hard pressed to not at least give him another shot, I had enough people telling me that I was playing him wrong, but i will say he is pretty fun to play now I've given him another go

It's hard to rank grievous since he has a good amount of speed and a powerful saber combo, but he gets utterly overpowered by force push and pull. Vader is REALLY good at 1v1s with his very fast and mobile dash and of course his hard-hitting attacks. It also feels weird to rank boba lower than han or leia with his higher mobility and greater range of tools especially when you can just hold down det packs for a greater toss and blow up a group of enemies.

I agree with the two final decisions. Secura and Maul are the absolute best! Another factor in Secura's favor is that I find her better with crowd control than Maul. I decimated 9 villains on heroes vs. villians on low health just by being between EVERYONE and frantically swinging the two lightsabers. No one had a chance. Maul's attacks, while they're good at crowded situations like command post captures and choke points, they are not as fast and volatile as Secura's blades.

The one thing for me that keeps kit fisto out of the top 5 is the 3rd attack in his combo, it’s very hard to control and can often leave you extremely vulnerable, or even yeet you off ledges causing you to die. Also, in my opinion, Anakin should be much higher, he’s the 2nd best Dark Side hero other than maybe Grevious, his choke to lightsaber combo is so deadly, he has all the perks of obi wan but with the added choke ability

I would almost always play as obi wan since most of my favourite maps had him as a hero and I always played as the republic (I liked the clone wars series) I didn't know until 2 or 3 months ago that anakin and obi wan were playable in mustafar without having to mod the game, I always thought that the hero for the rebels in that planet was luke. I didn't like playing in the galactic civil war and coruscant dissapointed me with the selection of heros and villains so I missed that easily

Kit can do a downard kick after his sprint attack by holding the secondary attack button.

I had the PS2 version so I had no Idea about Kit and Assaj being playable. I did know that Anakin was playable on Yavin on the Xbox version, something I was always jealous of, so now that the collection fixes all that i’m pretty excited to try it all out.

Every tier list I have to say this… As Chewbacca, stand near a gonk droid at the back of the map, spam his rockets and remember to boost them. Now the enemy literally can’t maintain possession in capture the flag, they can’t capture a command post, their vehicles are running scared, even on Hero Assault he can pick off who he chooses. Chewbacca is so broken if you just play him as a howitzer cannon and provide artillery. He’s only mediocre in a 1v1 with other villains.

This gameplay is mind numbing, it's the reason I hate wookie warrior players since you'd see 4 of them camping the gonk not letting anyone else play the class "oh the class is good if you spam the 1 shot ability and avoid any actual conflict/helping teammates" no shit. Also the rockets can get shot down and they definitely will if you really do spam them long enough for the enemy to notice

I find it really difficult to use the manual rockets, and their splash is pretty abysmal, but does damage scale with the velocity of the rocket, because when flying slow the rocket does barely anything to tanks?

Yes you need to boost them. It increases the AOE massively, it’s the biggest explosion in the game.

Good review! Very objective. Never played as Kit Fisto:) My favourite character is Leia. Also, In modded psp version you can play as admiral Thrawn as a hero. He has very powerful shotgun and arbital strike... I wish they add some new heroes and make free community dlc for you guys on the consoles... it's not that hard.

obi-wan and anakin are incredible both for conquest and 1v1s because their dash attack blocks, but anakin gets choke so he's automatically better (anakin is the most well-rounded/best hero in the game btw). nobody that plays hero assault plays ki-adi unless it's to be a hipster. grievous is gimped in hero assault but absolutely claps in conquest bc his charge blocks. asajj is not great for conquest but really good in hero assault. fisto is kind of busted in hero assault and situationally good in conquest bc his bubble is insane. maul being ranked high makes sense (and ayla is good, but not best) but the rest of this list is pretty bad to be honest. the problem with a lot of the other characters i don't mention is that their dash attacks are either too slow or they don't block during them. your dash attack on any jedi hero is the primary identity of the character and without them they're really vulnerable to coordinated fire or force powers from an enemy character. anakin is cracked because his dash is insane and has choke (unblockable) which forces enemy jedi to go airborne (can't block) to dodge the choke which means they're going to get shot by enemies. any character with choke can do the same thing but anakin has the dash attack and a really quick first attack on his lightsaber combo to beat out other heroes for a first hit (first hit = won duel since the other person gets stunlocked) nobody's like to believe me but i was one of the best hero assault players to ever touch the game on xbox (my handle was gobby or something like that) and was basically one of the only people in the entire game that knew how the mechanics worked because i originally had the game on pc/ps2 where everyone knew how the game worked. i was really good on pc/ps2 servers too but the general skill floor was way higher so i died a lot more. on xbox i was literally untouchable; was regularly having 50+ kill games with 5 or fewer deaths in hero asasult

@@Necr0ticus lol yeah, sorry. this video to me is like the equivalent of some giga random picking up the halo collection and making a tier list for halo 2 weapons where battle rifle & shotgun are in C tier while the plasma rifle is in A and a whole bunch of people took it as gospel. this is still my favorite game ever and i was really good at it, so seeing someone talk about it like this who clearly doesn't catch the depth it has kind triggered an autism moment
