I don't understand why everyone underrates Zeno/Silva that hard. Zeno did not say Chrollo could beat them if he tried. Chrollo asked who would win between him and Zeno 1v1, and Zeno said he'd easily win unless Chrollo was fighting to kill. In that case he implied it's a tossup and hard to predict. I think Chrollo/Zeno/Silva are at the same level, Chrollo probably has a slight advantage but people misinterpret what Zeno said and disrespect the Zoldycks. The only reason Chrollo took the fight was because he read his fortune and hired Illumi already to kill the 10 dons so all he had to do was stall.

@@glogangglory No it doesn't. His point is he can't really gauge how the fight would go as opposed to being sure of the outcome when Chrollo didn't have killing intent. He doesn't say anything about the outcome other than it being a "different story" than a guaranteed win when Chrollo wasn't fighting with killing intent. So there isn't enough evidence one way or another to rank them on different tiers. Also a lot of people take this out of context and act like Chrollo would've won 1v2 if he tried even though Chrollo specifically asks about a 1v1.

The only ability Kurapika can't use on anyone but the Phantom troupe is Chain Jail which forces them into zetsu. All his other abilities like Emperor Time and the other 9 chains are useable on EVERYONE...

You need to understand those guys that get tossed around at heavens arena are the average. They are not weak. Those nameless hunters that get demolished by Hisoka are the average. Putting a single member of the Troup in average is saying a average Joe could get in the Troup but Kalluto got into the Troup and said he was outclassed by pretty much EVERYONE in there. That Pro Hunter that was killed by Hisoka during the hunter exam was probably an average level fighter.

Razor made the Phantom Troupe consider entering Greed Island. The only moment we saw him doing something was during a dodgeball match. Take away the fact that he has to keep a constant Nen around Greed Island which is the size of a big country and you have a nightmare. Definitely able to fight and even beat one of the Royal Guards (Youpi and Pouf). As for Uvogin, he's the best Enhancer user known to this date (excluding Ging because we don't know if he's an Enhancer), which means he can't be in the same tier as Phinks since he would smoke him in a fight. Uvogin would be in the really strong tier (assuming that he can beat almost all of them except Razor and Feitan depending on which ultimate attack he uses). Unfortunately it's an unpopular opinion because the only fight in which we saw him was against the arch nemesis of the Phantom Troupe. As for the top tiers I (personally) would create another tier just for adult Gon and Netero right under Meruem and put Pitou in high demigod. Gon literally beat Pitou to a pulp. Other than that the tier list is great. That's a lot of characters to look through.

A lot of misplacements. Some, were correct and some not. With HxH it depends a lot on setup and prep. For example Chrollo needed a year of prep for Hisoka,without prep he is average tier pretty much. Even with prep he is not in the demigod tier. Appreciate the effort and love you put into this though.

Another theory: Gon was using kite as a object or tool to cut the hassle of finding his father. Kite told gon that he had found is father in his little game of “hide and seek” which was the same situation gon was in gon repeatedly asked kite about his father like he was trying to dig deeper. Which is “innocent curiosity “ which gon seems to show a lot of like when gon learned about killuas family. Gon seems to only help his friends or people he likes as stated in this video. Gon instantly trusted kite completely after he learned that kite knew his father. Gon was trying to be like his father and find hime “the right way” also stated in the video gon went to that hunter exam when he was 12 just like his dad etc but what did ging also do. He.used.people.for.personal.gain. Ging constantly used people for his own personal gain by being close with them then getting them to do things to cut the hassle. Like leaving gon with his aunt or razor and protecting greed island. Which seems to be exactly what gon did to kite. Being his friend and helping him out to achieve something easier. Kite helping gon find his dad which he had done before would cut a lot of slack on gon. Which would explain why gon was so mad when pitou killed kite. It would be like losing the key to a door that would give you everything you want which for gon is finding ging. Gon also doesn’t put much value in others lives other tyan his close friend like the people in the hunter exam or meleoron (the chameleon) if you not his friend, not linked to ging, or you betrayed him he couldn’t care less if you live or die. For example what gon said to meleoron. I have a hand cramp 😭

Does anyone think it's possible that the story and themes of hunter x hunter may be inspired by pinocchio? What if gon wanting to become a hunter and his transformation are inspired by pinocchio wanting to and becoming a real boy which in pinocchios case is meant to symbolise his maturation) in the case of gon when he transforms, his realisation that life isn't fair, the good guys don't always win and the world can be a cruel place, and when gons realises this and transforms he feels a sense of freedom and relief because he doesn't care anymore about life and this may be a dark twisted way of mirroring Pinocchio's transformation and Pinocchio's desires to not want to be a puppet and to have no strings attached. Not only this but gon pre chimera ant is portrayed as being a naive happy go lucky individual very similar to how pinocchio is before all the lessons he learns, and in the pinocchio book and film Pinocchio is deceived by a talking cat (multiple times in the book and on one occasion leads to Pinocchio's dying and him having to be resurrected by the blue fairy) which is similar to how gon feels like pitou who is a talking cat betrayed him by not healing kite and how gon defeating pitou also led to gon essentially dying and needing to be resurrected by a wish granting being (meaning maybe allukah could represent the blue fairy from Pinocchio) and at the end of pinocchio in order for him to become a real boy he has to save his father from a giant whale and ging is currently on the black whale ship. So if my theory is true then maybe gon has to rescue at some point in the story in a way that involves him getting to the dark continent. Kites death and reincarnation as a chimera ant which gon blames himself for maybe a reference to pinocchio hanging around lampwick who was a trouble maker and bad influence on Pinocchio who ended up getting turned into a donkey and getting killed and eaten. Kites death being used to show gon that the chimera ants are no joke and are serious threat maybe a reference how lampwicks fate was used to show pinocchio he needs to take his life seriously.
