Edo Tensei pretty much nullifies Itachi's biggest weakness, that being his gas tank. He's definitely got more hax based abilities than almost anyone else on the list, and being able to use those infinitely drastically raises his viability in combat as opposed to when he was alive.

i think kakuzu is a weird one. because his power is supposed to be in his hearts, and that's also what makes him so hard to kill and gives him access to several chakra natures, he's definitely super strong - he did fight hashirama and live to speak of it - but also... as a reanimation, it doesn't really do much for him, since it makes him immortal in the first place, and he needed to gather the hearts again before going back to full power... i dunno, it's kinda odd

It was very clear that he wanted Minato to be clouded in mistery, from the very beginning any information about his feats is very limited, again, on purpose, so he would be that "I wonder I strong Minato really was" type of character. Minato will never be properly scaled, unless Kishi decides to drop some data book or novel on him or something like that

My biggest anti-argument to base Minato being above anyone based on the interception feat alone, is that 6th gate Lee threw the kunai to intercept the orbs. And at the same time Gaara is moving Kakashi behind Madara to create the opening with Kamui. This has always been a highball at best type argument, and it's such an outlier, that it comes off as stronger than his amp forms. Just my opinion. Still a fair placement for him on an Edo list.

Lee was mentally amped cause his master was sacrificing his life and he had to help him in his last moments. Gaara has some insane feats later in the war. Just 10 chapters earlier, he managed to react to and block a Susanoo blade from Rinnegan SM Madara, who was stated at the back of the volume to be stronger than Juubito. Kakashi also has other insane feats. He reached for Black Zetsu at relative speed to KCM Minato, and has multiple other TSO related feats. It's possible Minato just got faster. It's never been stated that Edos can't improve through fighting like they can when they're alive.

No way Edo Nagato loses a 1v1. Visual genjutsu doesn’t work on him, he can absorb Amaterasu, and his sensing skills are so good he found Kabuto across a battlefield before Kabuto windows updated him. Like people argue Yata mirror and Totsuka blade while forgetting those manifestations are made out of chakra. Yes, they're powerful due to having large chakra reserves, but they're extremely pragmatic, I would even say more pragmatic than average shinobi. Why would he attack Itachi to prevent it when moments earlier he literally protected Itachi from other attacks like Bee's sword throw? He had a brutal physicality, he could blacken and “armor” his limbs, he’s strong as hell, quick, and really tricky to fight unless you’re in a group. Another Feat I would add for Hashirama was that he was the only Edo stated to be able to break out of the Mind control IF HE WANTED TO with the amount of power he was revived at compared to last time and Hash was revived only close to his max power. Kimimaro is slept on. He straight up beats gaara and lee in a 2v1 while his body doesn't even work anymore. He also has the literal best durability feat in the entire series, straight up tanking the compressive force of an ocean of sand 100 meters thick being squeezed into him... and then muscles his way out. That's a feat of inhuman strength surpassing what we see from Sage Mode Naruto, and the durability it shows is hard for me to truly describe for people who don't already get it.

Don't you need a real heart to activate the 8th gate? I'm not sure, but I think that's a requirement as you send all your Chakra to that area to create the blood mist.

@@Lebanese55 Nagato bodied bee and Naruto simultaneously, and Itachi needed them when he fought Nagato. Like, we understand that Itachi's arc is "learns he can't do it all himself," right? That the fight with Bee and Naruto taught him that? I also like now how we're just using Fanfic Itachi. Sure, if we give him Izanagi (which he never so much as said he could use) and a perfect, Full body Susanoo (Which he also never had), then he'd be stronger. Like sure, okay. But that's not the Itachi in the actual manga. If you say Nagato's Rinnegan is "nothing compared to Itachi," you're basically a ridiculous fanboy and can be safely ignored.

I agree with everything said here except that Itachi was stronger than Nagato. I think Nagato is more powerful than Itachi. The two really didn't throw down at all. You have about two moves from each. Both of Itachi's moves were made under concealment and Itachi had a lot of help dealing with Chibaku Tensei. (making up at best 50% of the force required to destroy it . which in my opinion is high balling him. I'm more comfortable saying he was closer to a 33% to 40%) if Itachi could have destroyed Chibaku Tensei alone he would have done so. add to that, Kabuto really had no idea what Nagato was capable of as he himself stated.

But what does chibaku tensei supppse to do to a reanimation? the only reason he said to destroy it was bcz Naruto and Bee would get caught in it

@@piratehunterzoro702 My interpretation was that Itachi couldn't destroy Chibaku Tensei on his own and that he needed Naruto and Bee. If he had gotten caught in it I doubt he would have been able to dig himself out. Again, because if he could have, he likely would have just done so. Other arguments I have would be that Nagato can literally use Bansho Tenin to just gank Itachi out of his Susanoo and get him with one of the pain rods. if they worked on reanimated Hashirama they will work on Reanimated Itachi. I will concede that Tsukuyomi might just be an auto win for Itachi, (it is in almost every case) I don't know how or even if it would work on Nagato. Since the Rinnegan is simply a superior Dōjutsu then the Mangekyō Sharingan. either way, even IF Itachi could win this fight on his own, between the animal summons, Chibaku Tensei, Shinra Tensei, Chakra Absorption, the Pain Rods that disrupt chakra. Nagato still has crazy hacks, AOE, and DPS, that none of the other Reanimated characters can match, (except Madara and Hashirama.) making him, IMO, the more powerful of the two.

Itachi took naruto and bee's help to destroy CT cuz he had no idea how much destructive power it takes to destroy CT. So Itachi wanted to gave maximum destructive power as possible that's why itachi took naruto and bee's help. Yasaka beads are actually highly destructive if you check in naruto ninja storm

@@andakin117 There is no way that the rinnegan has resistance toward something like tsukyomi the way it works is damm near instantaneous and it’s even debatable that sasake actually broke out of it. Besides chibaku tensei isn’t an instant i win button anyways kurama was resisting it for a while. Itachi with his Susanso could literally just do the same or spam multiple yasaka beads into the center.

@@sovereignlux3827 Respectfully I disagree. basically every piece of lore points to Nagato being the most powerful person in the Akatsuki. (and alive at the time in general.) I could see maybe Itachi being able to win a 1v1 with Nagato maybe. but that doesn't mean that Itachi is more powerful, just that he's got the hacks and know how to deal with someone like Nagato. (kinda like Team 7 vs Kaguya. or team 7 minus Kakashi vs Gaara and Shukaku.) There really is no debating that the Rinnegan makes just about every character with it absurdly overpowered. as for the infinite chakra I don't think a lot of people think that means they can dump unlimited chakra into a single move. (otherwise Deidara could have blown the entire world up with C-0. the same would go for basicially all other characters that have been reanimated.) Or that the can just spam the same technique without molding chakra. and to compare Itachi to even half of Kuruma's power is a bit of a stretch if you ask me. this would definitely be a good fight, but all and all, I still see Nagato being more powerful.

Ngl, KCM Minato slaps tf out of the Edo founders. He demonstrated relativity to BSM Naruto against Juubito and slapped away multiple Juubito chakra arms. Meanwhile Hashirama stated himself (and stated by others) that he stood no chance against even UNSTABLE Juubito. A BSM Naruto Bijuudama (which Minato should scale to) also damaged Juubito's TSO which tanked 4 Juubidamas, while Madara's PS was reduced to a small aura.

quick correction, Hashirama stated: "that man, is stronger than me." and this does not mean "stood no chance". minato don't scale to narutos bijus, flying raijin teleport =/= scale to. i agree with the idea and where youre going, but you are WAY over estimating and head cannoning the scaling. think back to "ranking hokage vid" by swag, minato has the broken flying raijin and perception time for sure, but he does not have the brick wall of power that is 1000 arm buddha thats the size of the original nine tails clad in in perfect susanoo.

Them teleporting doesn't have to do with anything. They attacked in tandem and slapped away Juubito's chakra arms at the same time. Edo Hashirama never showed the ability to use Shinsuu Senju, but even if he used it, KCM Minato would easily dodge it or redirect it with Guiding Thunder.

as for Chiyo, her problem is her puppets are like the seven swords men tools only she didn't have a way to summon them on hand and so in both she used puppet Ninjustu on those around her in basically the force version of what she did with sakura

A bit of scaling for kid naruto, it’s arguable naruto isn’t kakashi’s chidori level in speed as haku would’ve had a speed amp to save zabuza the person he loves and gets stronger when protecting, so when he was fighting naruto haku wasn’t using that same speed
