CC is ranked too low. Way too low. She fought Kallen for more than a second while Kallen was in what is likely the most powerful knightmare in the series. CC beat Jeremiah using a 2 person knightmare. Imaging winning a bike race with 1 leg. This was after he got the upgrade letting him using the Siegfried. I'm also not sure Geno really belongs as high as he is, he has a special knightmare and the only thing he can accomplish is to destroy the knightmare of a fleeing opponent who isn't a knightmare pilot. CC > Geno. What holds Cornelia and Gilford back though are their knightmares. So Idt CC beats them. Which means really Geno shouldn't be above them either.

I did admit that C.C. is kind of a wild card, she has a lot of weird feats. As for stalling Kallen, even Tamaki was able to stall Suzaku. Imo Kallen was just talking to C.C. until she wanted to end the fight. I do think I could have put C.C. in A tier tbh The reason characters like C.C. and Cornelia might seem underrated while someone like Gino might seem overrated is that I highly valued combat experience in R2. Being able to pilot a Knightmare with higher specs is granted weight on this list. By this logic all of the Knights of the Round are at least high in A tier, and Gino's Tristan even got upgraded before the final battle. Gino has bad feats tbh. But he consistently pressures Lelouch, which only Suzaku or Cornelia could do in R1. In terms of talent in fighting I would say Gino and Cornelia are comparable. I think Cornelia could have placed much higher if she got any Knightmare combat in R2 but sadly she never got an 8th gen KMF. In my heart of hearts, C.C. belongs in S tier and Cornelia belongs in the upper echelons of S tier. Sadly I just don't think the narrative gave them the opportunity to fight at that level

@@asliceofloaf1984 Yea but you also have to remember having a knightmare that is a gen ahead is a HUGE advantage... Suzaku's 1st time piloting the Lancelot was his 1st time piloting a real knightmare and it was during combat and he was wiping the floor with everyone and doing way better than the elites who had been pilots for YEARS! That should tell you all you need to know... C.C. piloting her pink Lancelot which is 7th gen against Kallen's 9th gen Gurren and lasting as long as she did I think should make her S-tier as well... Just look how fast Kallen beat the Vampire of Brittania who had back up! That's how fast she should have beat C.C. with that 2 gen advantage...

On a tactical level, C.C. as a pilot acts as a sacrificial queen. She can hold out surprisingly well against very high-tier opponents and operate proficiently with and against high-tier machines in order to draw engagements out into a stalemate. Both against Jeremiah and Kallen, she doesn't stand a chance of outright victory and is "dead in the water" by the end of the fight. But that's a worthwhile sacrifice because of her immortality. All her side really loses in either instance is her knightmare and her position; forcing her sit out the rest of R1 and R2 after those fights.... and then there's the fact that she has to suffer the pain of death again. The fact that she's willing to do this *twice* really demonstrates her commitment to and confidence in Lelouch.

One thing that I love about Lelouch’s Knightmares was that he always struggled with the controls. When he gets the Shinkirou, a Knightmare specially designed for him, it uses a keyboard as it’s main controls. He’s able to fly a Knightmare with a keyboard whilst doing the mathematical calculations to use the shield and mirror beam.

To be utterly fair to Lelouch he's outclassed because being a pilot of a real life machine and be really good at it requires you to be nearly super human. That's why the Shinkuro just takes all of the superhuman element out of it. It's basically a hyper advanced computer interface where only the advanced calculations for the ultimate defense are needed and not insane hax piloting skils

Rolo is basically the itachi of the series. As in he could arguably solo most pilots if his health wasn’t an issue.

I can only see three people actually beating Rollo Hax ability and that the knight of one future sight ability, CC because immunity and Suzaku with his don’t die command because it automatically activate in dangerous situations even if Suzaku knows about it or not. I am not saying this three would instantly win the fight outside of probably Suzaku but they have the ability to actually win.

Seeing into the future for a bit doesn’t mean shit if you can’t react which is why he lost to suzaku, now imagine if his perception of time is completely slowed. Suzaku’s Geass command wouldn’t override a Geass ability so he loses up close too

A very good list, there are a few I'd swap around but nothing major. Jeremiah was the intended Lancelot pilot and I can't see Lloyd settling, so I'd probably bump him to the top of that tier than the bottom. And I'd swap Lelouch and Tohdoh, Lelouch is almost always doing other things as he's fighting, using more draining Frames, or just having a bad day while Tohdoh is, typically, much more focused on what he's doing. For C.C., I think I'd put her around Cornelie, either just above or below, she's got more experience than any human ever could and she clearly knew how to fight and strategize long before Knightmares were even a thing, and I think that kind of intelligence and intuition bumps her up more than most people's raw skill, kind of like how Lelouch can predict enemy attacks because he's so smart but even more so. She doesn't have the real raw 'stats' to be higher though.

Knighmares in close combat would act much like swordsmen/melee infantry, just a lot faster and harder, and C.C must have faced a lot of that in her long life, so I would agree with putting her just below Cornelia.

I don't necessarily disagree with either CC's or Lelouch's placement on the list, but I think the two of them should be tied to the same tier, whichever way they go; both of their primary skills are outside of direct battle and their piloting comes down to ensuring the ability to use those skills appropriately, which the show has portrayed the two as being roughly equally effective at doing.

Something you may have missed with Tamaki is that he is a master of survival. Like, he's about as good as normal grunts, but his ability to survive is SS tier, when taking into consideration his skill level and the decisions or coincidences that go about to facilitate his survival. I'd say for raw combat he's in D tier just for that fact.

I lol’d a bit with Jeremiah having two tiers, but it makes sense. His human self and post-Code R self are vastly different, not just knightmare-wise but of course he literally gains powers beyond normal humans. I think C.C. should be higher, closer or equal to Lelouch. She’s no ace pilot but like Lelouch she just does enough to ensure the overall tactics are achieved in a battle. Also, her immortality makes her fearless. I agree that Suzaku is better than Kallen, if we really had to choose between them. It’s splitting hairs, but that “live” Geass just gives him the edge. Also, in the final episode, I recall that Kallen even acknowledges that she has the superior knightmare yet she can’t beat Suzaku.

C.C i think belongs in A at the very least because while she doesn't outright defeat a lot of people, when she's fighting much higher skilled pilots she can stall them far longer than she has any right to especially given the fact she often fights them while in unfamiliar machines, and that she doesn't seem to have that much combat time. As for Lelouch I'd see him drop down to C tier because when he does defeat people his KMF is so much better its just hard pressed for them to compete specs wise. Even then he has to rely on his strategies and baiting the enemies into a disadvantageous position where he can get support fire. Which is the point of his character, the show almost outright says it too when he gives Kallen the Guran, and says he's a commander, not a pilot.

@@MMenyan the word pilot is for the person operating a manned vehicle. So yeah he's a C tier pilot since his fighting abilities are not great, certainly enough to defeat lower skilled combatants, but against anyone else of decent skill without time to prep beforehand he'll hold out depending how much they outclass him but he's certainly not gonna beat them. What makes him dangerous and why if there's anytime beforehand he's a safe bet is his ability to strategize. So straight fight C tier. A premeditated fight S tier mainly for his ability to put his enemies in disadvantageous positions, and in the later half of the shows in part due to the overwhelming specs of his KMFs. So i guess you could average it out to A or top of B. I also think comparing lelouch to most others on this list is a bit like comparing oranges to apples as again most of his strength comes from his strategies and tactics rather than fighting abilities. Feels kinda like comparing i dunno Cecile, or schneizel to darlton or gilford. Cecile and probs schneizel can fight if they needed to but their best comes out in a more supportive/commanding role than either darlton or gilford.

I don’t think Jeremiah really needed two entries, many of the knights of the round seem to know of him by reputation. He was able to take over Area 11 right after Clovice died without much pushback from the Royal family or the aristocracy which means his ability as a solider were renowned and beyond reproach as Britania is a merit based society. It took multiple units of Jeremiah’s own likely elite squad to try and take him down in an ambush and he was assigned to be on of Lady Marians person guard and a very young age supporting the idea he is very skilled indeed. His cybernetic enhancements seem more to give him the ability to control and pilot his custom suit rather than something like faster reflexes or power. The man was always a top tier we just never get a good showing from him in battle he often in a much worse nightmare fighting top tier opponents or against cannon fodder. Finally he was the original pilot intended for the Lancelot had he returned to head quarters. That said Lelouche is at best a C tier pilot, he usually pilots much more powerful nightmares hence the Shinkiros heavy focus on defence. It’s to help keep Lelouche alive in the front lines because he isn’t that good a pilot.

I think you put Lelouch too high, I get that in certain situations he's a capable pilot but in general, he's much worse than Darlton, the knights of the round, and definitely Guilford. Lelouch couldn't win a battle on his own which would disqualify him from the S tier based on your own criteria. In KMFs combat, he has lost to Rolo, Bradley, Gino, and most likely Anya, and didn't do that well against Jeremiah. He only defeated people in the Gawain because his KMF was significantly better. But when he has to face pilots with equal or stronger KMF he loses easily. Lelouch kinda implies this when he gives Kallen the Guren over using it himself. That's kinda the point of Lelouch's character, he's not really a warrior but a strategist. His role is in the back giving out orders not fighting on the front lines. C.C. is too low on this list considering that is able to pilot multiple types of KMFs. She also pilots the Gawain in the same capacity as Lelouch and assisted the black knights against Anya. I would have lowered some of the four holy swords. Urabe and Ashahina are much better than Senba and Nagisa. Bradley single handly almost wiped out one of the Chinese Federation flagships. I would definitely move him with the rest of the knights of the round in S tier. They are the best pilots for a reason. I see you didn't discuss the Glaston Knights, even though they are equal to or better than the Four Holy Swords. Oh and I completely disagree with putting Suzaku over Kallen but that seems to be the common census.

I don't think you're putting enough respect on Lelouch's piloting feats. The Shinkiro is one of the most skill intensive Knightmare Frames to pilot, and its debut is an example of Lelouch fulfilling the criterion for S tier

@@KatoBeyond The only reason Britannia retreated was because Schneizel didn't respect the high enuchs. If the battle had continued Gino or Suzaku could have taken out Lelouch. All Lelouch did was buy time for the Chinese people to learn the true feelings of their leaders. By contrast Suzaku defeated all of Lelouch's forces in Stage 2 and Kallen was about to win the battle in Turn 18 by herself. Heck even V.V. nearly won the battle in Turn 14 by himself. Is the Shinkiro a difficult kmf to use? Absolutely. Is it in impressive that Lelouch can pilot it to perfection? Absolutely. But when discussing the best pilot you need to consider all attributes. And for the majority of the skills required to pilot a kmf Lelouch is average at best.

@@rltlounge8678 akito is like an edgy version of suzaku. I think suzaku would win in a 1v1, but only due to more experience with a far wider breadth of frames. I could see akito breaking through barriers of skill multiple times in a fight against suzaku to the point that he would definitely lose at the start, and be almost evenly matched at the end. He may even draw, due to the fact Suzaku's geass would cause him to disengage rather than go for a potentially fatal final attack.

I think Rollo should be in SS. Using his Geass, he can easily defeat any pilot, even the likes of Kallen and Suzaku. We even see it at the beginning of season 2, when he simultaneously defeated Kallen, Lelouch and one of the four holy swords. They would all have died if the explosion hadn't prevented Rollo from finishing the battle. Using Geass in battle, he is simply unstoppable. And I think Bismarck should be stronger than Suzaku and Kallen, since he could resist Suzaku for a while, despite the fact that he had a Knightmere inferior to Suzaku by a whole generation! And Suzaku even had to resort to the order to "Live" to win. Bismarck also defeated Li Xingke without even using his Geass, and with him he is clearly getting much stronger. It seems to me, given his skill surpassing Li Xingke and his Geass, able to "foresee the future" for a few moments ahead, no one but Rolo could defeat Bismarck if their Knightmeres are equal in characteristics.

Rollo is the best for a short battle. No one can even fight him cause they literally can’t. But unlike Suzaku and Kallen, if you spam enough knighmares at him you have a good shot at killing him.

I will die on the hill that Bismark should be Rolo-tier, because both of them become much MUCH weaker when their Geass ability is disabled/weakened/overcome in some way. The second Suzaku brute-forced Bismark's Geass, he completely folds. I think someone like Jeremiah, with his Geass canceler, could wipe the floor with Bismark. There's a chance Bismark was once skilled, but I think his reliance on his power weakened his potential.

Everything is fine but 1would put season1 Jeremiah at mid-low A tier since his defeat to kallen basically made her famous it goes to show that defeating someone like him in 1vs1 means a lot and he was most likely the Lancelot's intended pilot. And season 2 Jeremiah would be s tier below anya because i feel that he didn't get to show his whole potential with the Sutherland-sieg than what he would be capable if he has the original Siegfried

I would liked to hear you talk about the skill Floors && Ceilings for the different Mechs. At least some of these rating must have a lot to do with the actual Knightmare. Average guy in a low skill floor mech vs a great pilot stuck in a low skill ceiling Knightmare. Based on this can we infer that some of the pilots have different skill levels due to them getting powerful but low skill mechs? Example from outside of CG: Overwatch: Playing Tracer or Genji are heroes with low floors and high ceilings. Putting a great player on them will have awesome results while a bad player will be abysmal. But if someone is playing Bastion or Soldier 76: they have high floors and low ceilings. A great player and a poor player will still have average results and won't be too far from each other. So if the mech has a big gun or super defense can we assume those are poorer pilots as it doesn't take much skill to use those weapons, after all if the pilots had more skill wouldn't they be using a mech that showcases that advance skill with things like speed or other high skill ceiling traits.

Right, Jeremiah being lower than Lelouch is an example of this. He has a lot of experience and skill but Lelouch's Shinkiro requires so much more skill to use that I have to place him towards the middle of S tier.

Nah give my boy Rolo more credit! It was pretty much stated that only a super genius like Lelouch could operate the absolute defense shield since you have to react and calculate where to activate it in real-time but Rolo didn't do that bad when he was using it and was able to block the Mordred's multipoint attack which is extremely hard! Meaning in the few seconds it took for Anya's attack to reach them he had to calculate where the attacks would hit then activate the shield in the right places to block each beam! He's definitely an S-tier pilot but NOT just because of his geass that's just a bonus because I think he'd be S-tier even without his geass just with his skill as a pilot alone...

(Note: I haven't watched past C tier so you might've touched on some of these points) I think you're underestimating Jeremiah. He held his own in a 3v1 against Kewl(?) in R1. Orange should also be in S, IMO. He near singlehandedly took down the Mordrid and killed God knows how many soldiers in the battle. Lelouch should probably be kicked down a tier since he hasn't done any real fighting, barring the chinese invasion fight where Suzaku did 90% of the work. He also has the Shinkiro which is exceptionally OP since it was supposed to be Schniezel's personal KM. As for personal opinion with minimal evidence, Ohgi should be a bit lower since he wasn't leader for his fighting ability, Viletta should be higher because Jeremiah respected her so she must be good, C.C. should be higher since she fought with Marianne and stood against Kallen for a bit (but still lost), and I think Kallen should be above Suzaku since she barely technically won in their final battle.

I would dare say C.C is one of the top pilots since she's able to stall against not just superior pilots like Kallen and Suzaku, but against their extremely powerful specialized Frames. Even though she doesn't win those fights, the fact that she manages to hold them off AT ALL despite them using Frames like the Lancelot and its evolutions or the Guren and its own improvements is massive. Also i just noticed you're using the icons from Lost Stories.

I feel like seig Jeremiah should be at the bottom of S and guildford at the top of A. Guilford honestly doesnt have that great feats, guren flight enabled is that much better a machine than tohdoh was in in that fight and it was a slaughter, meanwhile in the narita fight he was getting pinned down by tohdoh’s team in burei customs. Bureis being described as similar to glasgows while guilford was in a far superior machine. I think a tier below tohdoh fits him. As for cyber jeremiah, sacrifice tactics aside he’d’ve still tied with anya snd the mordred, that craft was falling out of the sky if he made the jump or not. And Jeremiah was lelouch’s only ace other than himself and suzaku in the final battle, implying he was doing some serious heavy lifting throughout that fight. And even in his showing at the end of R1 he had a doubly piloted gawain on the run wether nunally was kidnapped or not, hell i dont even really picture suzaku or kallen beating him during the black revolution (though he is in the better frame at the time) Maybe lelouch could also go down a tier, while noone else could really pilot the shinkiro, he was still never much of a fighter in it, he would’ve lost to anya if not for supernatural intervention, loses to bradley and loses to gino in the only real direct fights he has. How he best knows to use his abilities is as a strategic weapon, wide area destruction to scare off the chinese federation, obstructing the blaze luminous ect. Not real feats of piloting skill just knowing the best time to go out in the first place.

We like to pretend Kallen was on the same level, but she had a better frame, Suzaku was fighting stronger opponents, he wasn't bloodlusted when Kallen was, he had the live command, AND he had to trick everyone into thinking he was dead which is much harder than just winning a fight. They outright say in the show that Suzaku could not pilot Kallen's frame, no one is supposed to be able to use it. Suzaku is powered up by the Geass sued on him and he admitted that he lost. She's a better pilot and it's more people pretending it's the other way around.

The ranking of pilots is really difficult. Not only is it based on the fact whether they use Geass but also especially what machine do they have. Suzaku and Kallen are without any question top pilots but are they that much better than e.g. Gino or other Rounds if they all would be fighting the same class of Knightmare? I kind of doubt it since Kallen wasn't dominating the fight against Gino and Anya respectivelly during the air battle above the sea when the Black Knights tried to kidnap Nunally. I think that Marianne was the best pilot. Bismarck used his Geass twice; once again Suzaku who had 2 KMF generation advantage (Lancelot Albion the 9th, Galahad the 7th) over him and against Marianne who had no combat Geass and presumably had the same generation KMF as Bismarck and yet he still lost. So her abilities were de facto equal to a 2 generation KMF advantage.

Call me a Kallen fanboy but I'm not seeing Suzaku over Kallen. Its not a huge difference but I'm still putting Kallen as top 1. Suzaku's 'Live' command forces him to fight for his life. No holding back and no pulling punches. No one has ever been shown to resist a geass completely. So regardless of what Suzaku's intentions are in his final fight with Kallen he is using 100% of his skills and abilities to defeat her and he couldn't get the job done. He admits as much himself even though he survives the explosion of his knightmare frame like a gundam pilot. He still lost and a loss is a loss. Kallen is the best pilot

He didnt lose they took out eachother. And Kallens knightmare is superior to Suzakus. The only reason Suzaku was able to take out Kallen was because of the geass command. If Suzaku didn't have the geass command he would probably have lost. Put them both with Knightmares who have the same specs then its another history.

Even if Gino isn't there to catch Kallen and she falls to her death she still defeated Suzaku in the Knightmare Frame battle and is still the best pilot or atleast even with Suzaku. Also Gino who witnessed the battle first hand declares Kallen won.

Suzaku have fought extremely powerfull opponent before Kallen: He defeat Todo, Xing-Xe, Gino. Suzaku also had to protect the avalon and after all of that he fought Kallen who were piloting the Strongest KMF in the serie and Suzaku still go toe-to-toe with her. Accept it, Suzaku is the best.

In terms of raw skill, I'd say Suzaku is the most talented pilot while Colin is a close second. My reasoning is this. Suzaku's Albion by their final battle was a bit worse than Guren. Britania captured the Guren and Loyd combined his tech with Rashata's. So it was the best of both sides. The Albion was never given any tech from Rashata so it was at a bit of a disadvantage compared to the Guren. However, even with that difference, the end was a tie. If both pilots were equally matched, the Guren would win. And yes I do recognize that while Colin had an edge with tech, Suzaku's Geass gave his piloting skills/resolve a boost.

It's always kind of annoyed me that the majority of Suzaku's fights are him in a superior Nightmare frame. I get that the series tries to reinforce his piloting skills with statements about his synchro rates and testing numbers but until he gets the geass command to live and his opponents get more better nightmares It really feels like hes just being carried by the Lancelot. and my point with this is not that Suzaku isn't a good pilot or the best. He is. The series just doesnt do a whole lot to show this outside of him just having a better nightmare.

I'd probably lower Lelouch's rating on this list. The fact is that he is better than any grunt, but basically can't beat any skilled named pilot. I'd place him in high B or low A tier. He only really makes up for this by using insanely powerful machines. However, even those don't help against actually capable pilots like Cornelia. He's an above average pilot but often uses some of the best Knightmares on the field. I'd also probably lower Cornelia and her men as we don't really know how they compare to the Knights of the Round.

At 14:54 I wouldn't call the Guren Flight Enabled Version an inferior Guren. That kmf is stronger than the Lancelot Conquista and probably equal or greater than the Tristan or Mordred. At 15:12 this isn't accurate: Kallen has faced off against: Tristan, Mordred, Lancelot, Shen Hu, Gloucester, Vincent, and Percival to name a few. Suzaku has faced off against: Guren, Palomedis, Florence, Galahad, Gawain, Burai, Zangetsu, and the Shen-Hu to name a few. Besides the Galahad, these kmfs are roughly the same in strength. The Glaston Knights were under Andreas Darlton not Cornelia since the units was composed of his adoptive sons.

lelouch should not be in S tier IMO, he isnt particularly good at piloting, his only feats in that regard are from the garwain and its shield which was a singular system which was perfect for him but in general he isnt that good, if both people where in a standart knightmare then lelouch would lose against anyone above A tier while being an even match for the people in B tier, his strengths are his tactics, and strategies, not his combat prowess what i mean by that is while he is an incredible asset it has nothing to do with his piloting, all the battles where he plays the key part have nothing to do with his piloting, he couldve done just as well sitting somewhere on a sofa with a tablet and a headset, we see as much in the episode where he saves the submarine, all the times where he is an incredibly force on the battlefield are from the garwain shield which uses his calculations rather then his piloting skills
