Funfact: The Premiere Tiana was kind of officially inspired by late 00s / early 10s Disney Channel stars xD Well i’m lying but she was inspired by 2009 trends & there was a 1950s / 1960s fashion revival going on around this time which is why poofy skirts became popular for a little bit there.

If disney's problem is hair hair being poly, pennywise and beetlejuice's dolls literally has poly hair. I dont get why disney doesnt do it for merida

Enjoyed this ranking. I actually curled my Merida’s hair once I got her; I have a video of it on my channel. I know you use the stock photos but the ultimate princess celebration that you put in ‘no thanks’ has a lovely dress underneath the coat. It’s very hard to see in that photo. Totally respect it’s not your style. I enjoyed listening to why you loved the other ultimate princess design so much because I passed on her for the other one. Thanks for making these videos! I enjoy them.

Also in that very scene merida then took out the head covering, they likely did not include it cus then she’ll have to be bold there isnt a way to give her a rlly tight fitting head covering but still let her have hair

Yeah I feel like that would be a nightmare to work with on a doll not to mention it would just ruin her hair whenever you put it on

@ exctaky espically with people wanting her to have more tighter curls it would just be a disaster , even if you were to go bold people would be upset , its not like maleficent who never has her hair shown meridas most iconic feature is her hair Like not everything needs to be movie accraute, some design elements cant be incorporated to dolls, plus again she removes the head covering anyways

I've been trying to convince myself I don't need that ultimate princess Merida for awhile now. Something about the armor pieces plus cool faux hawk just makes her seem sooo cool. She does have pants on btw-they are made of the same plaid fabric though and I kinda wish they were like faux suede or something instead.

The Tiana doll with the green cape is referencing Erte, a 20s artist. I'm a sucker for flappers, so I really like this one. I was tempted to buy her, but I don't collect Disney dolls.

Venus and honey are terrible examples, they have 4c hair meridas is 3b , its not kinky or coily like honey n venus Not to mention their hair is an afro, meridas not an afro its just frizzy & curly-the dolls hair is similar to the movie its simply not frizzy , you can easily fix it by simply recurling it to be tighter; you do not need to give her a straight out afro

The way I said to myself "what in the Disney Channel" when that premiere Tiana came on screen....I wanna redesign her. Colors are cute though Oooo a surprise video coming up??? I can't imagine what it might be, but thoughts for videos that pop into my head are: conglomerate video of non-official princesses like Tinkerbell and Megara and Disney Holiday dolls

Brave isn't my favorite princess movie, but Merida is hands down my favorite Princess. And the D23 Merida doll is my favorite doll of ALL TIME. The dress reminds me of the dress I stupidly put on layaway for prom even though I had the money. By the time I went to pick it up, someone had swapped it out for the blue version instead of the green version. So I completely lost my dream prom dress. I'm still bitter over 30 years later 🤬😣😅

I’m sorry I don’t get how there are brave haters the story is so beautiful I’m a sucker for movies focusing on family dilemmas and dynamics and love even more when a Disney princess’s story is not focused on romance (not that many are)

From this video I realised that Tiana has some AMAZING designs and Moana is definitely the weakling here due to the designers not experimenting as much with her as they should :/
