Ranking EVERY New Little Cup Pokemon in The Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet and Violet

So I feel like in the scarlet and violet teal mask dlc we certainly got some solid options. Because I was sick this week, I had plenty of time at home not doing much so I decided to make a longer video, and truthfully all the extra effort paid off IMO. I think this video turned out pretty well, and I'm happy with it. I love how my mic sounds now with the new settings, at least comparatively. Things are going pretty well, I'll just have to see where this channel takes me :).

So, to be honest, after having finished the video (editing took forever.) I’d maybe change a few rankings. I’d say that piplup is probably a little to high, I’d drop it down a few spots. Both ekans and slugma would go a few for me, as they’ve really shocked me. I tested most, although not all the mons in the video, so please don’t think I’m ranking them on nothing. Next week’s video will probably be a little shorter, it’s too much for me to make 20 minute videos every week, I’m usually just too busy. Thanks for watching, I love you all.

Cosmic + stored power rest talk chingling w/ tera electric has really surprised me. It requires a lot of support, but if you can kill the other teams dark type, you can easily get a free turn on gothita, or non haze mareanie and sweep.

hi i'm the guy who proposoded ekans for you and i was able to get top 20 with it on ladder (although i dropped off significallty after that) using tera grass trailblaze, gunk shot, coil, and eq, with 156 speed evs, 196 atk evs, and 156 defense evs with an adamant nature, i found it to be very good to bring in against mienfoo, because it can barely do any damage and you get free setup, another thing that i found is that ekans can still do ok damage without coil, so if you don't have 2 turns to setup you can just trailblaze and still clear a few mons, i feel like ekans should be at least top 12 or something, but that's because i got really attached after using it a lot. Loved the vid!

6:00 I somehow found a niche for that guy in my LC team, spin blocking, I prefer it over any other ghost type actually if we're talking about spin blocking. It does well against common Toedscool sets because of the negative damage that knock off does to Duskull, but it isn't a complete counter since ice beam isn't an OHKO without hazard damage. ☠️ And against Alolan Sandshrew, I haven't seen them carry knock off alongside rapid spin so I can still find a use for my boy Duskull the spin blocker. Here's what I use: Duskull @ Eviolite Ability: Levitate Level: 5 Tera Type: Steel EVs: 116 HP / 196 Def / 196 SpA Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Ice Beam - Pain Split - Taunt - Shadow Ball I don't use will-o since I've already have a physically defensive pokemon in my team with that move.

Hey I'm the other slugma player (myteamiscope). Our game was fun, shame I missed that high jump kick but I did hit every other one tbf. I think slugma is so good this gen, not many mons have recover and the ones that do don't have the properties slugma has. Slugma can spread burn like wild fire and recover damage off like it's nothing. The best Tera type on it is definitely Tera grass, but you can also use other things like Tera fairy and Tera bug which worked well on it from my experience. It's movepool is so versatile as well, you can use lava plume earth power with yawn or rocks or just use lava plume + rocks and yawn. It can spread burn so easily you gain more value out of not using will O wisp and just relying on flame body and lava plume. At worst it at least burns a vullaby or mienfoo, and punishes u-turners hard. For partners, basically anything that benefits from burning a mienfoo or sweeper works, and on more control orientated teams grookey helps a lot with reducing earthquake damage, healing it passively through terrain, and allowing it to pivot in much more easily. Grookey also can pivot into water and ground moves which slugma is weak to. Weirdly enough, if we had a few other decent mons slugma could enable a form of stall in LC. Would it be good? Probably not. But it would be cool

Yeah yawn is good too, I just typically mostly use it against physical attackers who I can (hopefully) already have burnt.

Hey, I would recommend leaving a graphic up on screen that shows what Pokemon you’re talking about. It can get confusing if you get distracted and then look back at a Pokemon being used in battle that isn’t the one being discussed

I saw Spinarak and was thinking the only redeemable thing was Sticky Web just to not see the move mentioned. Is it only Ariados that gets Sticky Web or did both lose it this gen? I'd figure there are other pretty obviously better Webs setters, but it's still a notable move even then

It's already so strong in fully evolved tiers with a ton of hazard removal and Boots spam, so in a tier with Boots being fairly uncommon and with much less hazard removal, it does seem like it'd completely warp and overwhelm the tier

Can't mienfoo be played with choice scarf, reckless high jump kick? It can do massive damage, especially if boosted with tera fighting

It's a solid set, my only problem with it is that them you cannot run the bulky pivot mienfoo set. Choice scarf is solid though
