Requiem was better than the first one, or you like that pg 13 bs and nobody wants that. AVP is a comic man not a film, that "we can't really show much blood" stuff doesn't fly man. Otherwise you may as well have the predator fight captain america. You'd be able to see it at least. Well I could see both films and I think watching a predator die because he relied to much on his cloak (right away, before it even gets one in) was lame. A warrior over a hundred years old doesn't let his gaurd down and both predators that die quickly died for the plot, it was bad

They alienated the actual people who would have paid for the film by trying to be for all audiences. Very stupid. Anyway, what I'm pretty sure you got wrong was, these Predators were young, inexperienced and this hunt was their initiation into manhood. So they were not experienced hunters with an understanding of what they were getting into, but were facing off with Xenos and Terrans for the 1st time. So if it had worked to perfection, they would have lured the humans in to be sacrifices, gotten the plasma casters which would have triggered the maze in the pyramid to start and wake the queen

@@jordyplaysgamesAUTISMYEET No dude, that hunt was their initiation into warriors. They were basically teenagers when they traveled to Earth for the hunt. This wasn't the same group from the previous hunt, this temple is used for the young to learn. So they read a book or 2, but obviously carry the ignorance and cockiness of teens. That's why the one Pred who got impregnated took off his mask to mark himself. That was proof of his kill, therefore his ascension into the role of warrior. Think of it this way, when we sent our guys over to Iraq, they had been through drills, training and school, but were still rookies on the battlefield. We had hella friendly fire accidents the 1st 2 weeks we were there because we lacked discipline. Obviously after we had been there a while, experience had been gained and less accidents occured. So being 100 yo and only going through training, doesn't change the lack of experience.

You're not just wrong you're stupid Predators is a horrible concept right off the bat the only reason it's not the worst movie in the franchise is because AVPR and Prey exist for whatever reason Prey is open insult to anybody of Comanche descent as well as to anybody who knows anything about the predator species like it shouldn't have taken half the movie before another Predator came in and killed the main predator after he was deemed a bad blood for his actions

While I found the overall storyline creative, and except for the heat masking flowers believable it messed up a huge part of the established lore, and went a weird route with the Predators design and behavior. I missed those stalking scenes. I get that this Yautja is supposed to be a primal brute, but he felt more like a slasher than a hunter. They messed up the mandibles again so they can't close. Then he didn't even have tubes on the mask or a piece to cover his mouth. It's been established in the second movie that they only can breathe earths atmosphere for so long. Then theres his weaponary. In the first movie he had such a creative unique arsenal. It felt so organic as you saw his outfit and could figure out how everything works. There weren't no shields appearing out of thin air. Also I feel like they wanted to make the Predators weapons feel primitive, but instead of taking the Predators original weapons and finding a prototype how this could've started out they just took even more advanced technology with flying bombs and yondu arrows but based the weapon design on primitive HUMAN weaponary which I found really dull. Like common. I know the studio could've done better than that. Predator 2, while far from perfect, expanded on the lore and tried to give a deeper meaning and a bit of history to the Yautja. Also I really liked to think that it was Greyback who aquired the Adolini 1715 pistol himself from a pirate. While the comic wasn't canon I always liked to think it was. But thats just a personal reason.

I'm not a fan of Adrian Brody at all & to see him trying to play the role of a Billy bad (*) puts a damper on the movie for me. I enjoyed the movie but in all honesty Adrian Brody is a straight up 🐱. Him trying to muffle his voice like he's Batman to try & sound tough in the movie is a joke.

Completely agree with you about AVP 2 that you cannot see shit in certain scenes but I've seen it multiple times with upscaled brightness and honestly it has the best qualities for a story including the xenomorphs, a veteran predator and clueless regular people who are super unlucky being caught in-between. To me the horror of the encounters, the gore and the action is just perfect. My top 3 are Predators, AVP 2 and Predator. I can't wait to see Prey I'm super hyped.

Agreed, A. He had an amazing design and I enjoyed how he was being kind of a loot goblin with the various animals and B. I was honestly hoping that he'd slaughter them all considering how they haven't had a win against the humans since ever and how there were many a plot armor that gave them that win.

Predator 2 was amazing! I don’t know why it gets the hate. Glover was a mid-aged out of shape cop up against the most advanced hunter possible. I knew Arnold would win in the first, I actually felt Danny could die in the second. The first was a better movie, but I liked the second more, just for Glover’s performance. You’re right on Predators though. Brodie kinda overacted, but it was a fun sci-fi action movie.

The first Predator is great on nostalgia. "The Prey" is the the Predator movie we didn't even know we wanted! But God damn is it good. I legitimately thought Guillermo Del Toro might of made this movie. That's how good Dan Trachtenberg blended Practical Effects, Monster Make Up and CGI. The bear scene where he shows himself to the main Protagonist, is a stroke of genius. Fucking grizzly bear blood!!!! That's all u need to say! Dan made the antithesis of all Predator movies....and it worked. "Only the strongest Survive" is always the main story line of all predator movies. Having a Female main character in AVP 1 kinda of worked, because Alien movies are the opposite of predator movie. First main Character in Predator "Arnold Swarztneger" vs Alien and Aliens "Sigourney Weaver". In 2010 Predotors they toy with different tropes of being the sneaky, unassuming character that uses those traits to make it till the end with Topher Grace and Alice Braga. But when it came down to it, Adrian Brodies brute strength and special forces combate training got them to the end. I knew nothing about this movie before watching it. When I first realized Amber Midthunder is the main character, I thought, "here we go....another blade 3/Captain Marvel/ Charlies Angels/birds of prey forced girl power movie. But I quickly realized she is one of the great female action stars in cinema. Up their with Kill Bill, hit girl, Imperator Furious and Ripley. Her perceived weakness is her power. She has a very specific set of skills, that make her perfect for killing Predotors. Executed perfectly.

I enjoyed Prey as a movie overall, but the big reason it ranks worse than the first three Predator movies to me is because it messes up the established lore and I feel like the Predators arsenal was kind of uncreative. My personal opinion is predator 1 and 2 are tied for first i love the classic but i also like the concrete jungle set up tied for second goes to predators and prey next avp then avp2 i liked how they introduced the story of the predators hunting xenomorphs as a right of passage in the first one and then the ending of the second one was a good wrap up with the waylen company finally its the predator i liked the idea that the predators are doing genetic modification to make them better hunters but thought the whole they want autism thing was kinda goofy

Another point to mention... you feel Prey is a reward to people who are obsessed with this sequel... One example when Naru fell in mud ... ironically, a person who knows that covering one's body with mud would unable the predator to see using infra red vision. The moment Naru washes mud off her body... how ironic. The idea that a female wins the battle with the predator is a great thing.

The planet from Predators was not the predators homeworld…it was the game preserve planet. Yautja Prime is the home planet of the predators and it’s visible in the beginning of AVP Requiem if I remember correctly
