Brig. I used to watch 25 episodes of Naruto everyday. Sometimes 35 to 45. Two times, 50 to 60. Because i started it when i was having my holidays. I totally dedicated my life to complete the show. No insta, no whatsapp, no calls, no messages, no other shows, no other stuff. Just, EAT. SLEEP. NARUTO. REPEAT. That's one of the best decision of my life. I can never forget those days. They won't be coming back. I never regretted a single second of those 35 days. Yes i completed the show in 35 days. The whole show (720 episodes, OVAs, movies, fillers literally everything).

Genuinely speaking.. it's hard to maintain and deliver a story to an end with an absolutely great/satisfying ending. I think that's the most tricky and critical part of storytelling and the most challenging for the author. If there's one thing I can learn from watching/reading so many 'completed' shows, it is: "How many peak shows (in this case animation show) I can count with my fingers that I watched have been complete, that had great endings, and brought the show as a whole of storytelling as a masterpiece writing?" shockingly not that many.

Honestly saying, Jackson's ranking was the best. 40:10 the thing about one piece is it doesnt only get better arc wise. Yes each arc gets better than the one previous in one way or another for most of the show. But what truly seperates it from other longer shows is that each arc is connected and the lore world and story as a wholew keep building upon itself up and up.

It has some low lows in the anime for sure, but when I think about it theres only a few other pieces of media that bring me as much joy as One Piece does. So much of the latest arc was about major characters in really intense situations. Really though the peaks of newer One Piece for me almost all happen to come from the same storyboard artist who did episodes like 1015, the latest opening, and the fan letter. But I can see how its a departure from simpler times.

Then I just want Carter to watch the show Rectify on his own because I feel like it may be a too serious/depressing show for everyone to love but it is hands down the best tv show to ever be made. lol Carter you're probably tired of hearing from HxH fans, and I don't know if you read comments, but for what it's worth, I'm a huge HxH fanboy but I don't think I disagree with most of your critiques. I think the pacing sucks at multiple points, I think there's too much exposition, and I think a couple of the anti-climaxes are a let down. It's still my favorite show of all time because the highs hit for me in a way they don't in other shows, and also, I just don't like the writing in other shows for various reasons (e.g. I don't like AoT's character writing - I think Killua has more depth in the Hunter Exam than any AoT characters until season 4), but I'm just writing this comment so you know not everyone who whose top pick is HxH thinks that its author can do no wrong OR that you're wrong for thinking Togashi gets stuff wrong. I'm just happy Haikyuu made it to 14th at the very least on everyone's lists (and then top 10 on Jack and Carter's)! It's my literal favorite anime, and to see how your guys' expectations of it have been blown so far out of the water, it really just warms my heart. I recently got to rewatch the whole thing for like the 5th time with my brother (who had never seen it and is now getting into anime), and to watch you guys react to it on top of that is just really fun! On the Haikyuu OST issue that Cannon brought up, I think the music is just harder to notice on first watch because there's so much going on and so much to focus on. On my rewatches, though... dude. The Haikyuu music hits so hard. Literally one of my favorite OSTs ever. I listen to the music by itself on a regular basis😂 On that note- I can't wait to see you guys react to the openings and endings! They're so nostalgic and inspirational (and catchy ofc haha)!

Yeah I know it’s confusing, partly it’s because of how much I absolutely love season 1 and season 2 does have aspects of it that are amazing. But it’s mostly because of the writing of season 2 and season 1 was so incredible it stays that high for me personally

I personally resonated the most with Brig and Mckays lists. But also appreciated Carter calling out the clear drop in quality from S1 to S2 Arcane, and Cannons rant on GoT still being legendary even with the terrible ending. The only show I think was consistently overrated was Cyberpunk. It was enjoyable sure but way too fast paced a story for me to get a really good emotional tie to the characters before that ending..

Really enjoyed the video, always have. I do have to respectfully disagree on Carter's take on Arcane. As much as I understand Carter’s frustration with S2, I think dropping it below shows like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Vinland Saga and Evangelion is such a stretch. Arcane’s issues in S2 are far from ideal, but the really don't compare to the more fundamental flaws that some of the higher-ranked shows suffer from. Pretty much every aspect of Arcane is still miles ahead. I think it's a disservice towards Arcane to get so caught up in its imperfections. This was my unsolicited opinion. Rarely comment anything, but felt like I had to this time😂. I'm also really not trying to push any negativity here. I'm neither an anime, nor a Gek hater, I've been a proud Patreon member since the beginning and my tierlists are mostly anime...

A : Squid game (still not finished), Jujutsu Kaisen, House of the dragon, Code geass, Breaking bad. B : Chainsaw man, Erased, Tokyo ghoul, Arcane (still not finished).

Naruto is a story with many flaws and problems to it, which can make watching it, together with so many top-tier shows, kinda difficult to appreciate. When I watched it for the first time, I really do remember watching 20 episodes a day and being completely obsessed with it. To me, it was, and is still, one of the best stories to be told. And like it was already said in the video, once you get to the end, you learn to appreciate and love the show even more, because you realize how wonderful it is, for many reasons. The main thing that makes it different from other shows is the heart it has to it. I can guarantee you guys will absolutely love Naruto once you finish it. It is probably not going to be in the S-tier, but I am sure it will be in the A+-tier. Can’t wait to see what you guys think of the show once you finish it, all you guys got to do is wait for the PEAK.

Surprisingly, I was just thinking that the best way to describe Naruto is heart. This work is made with heart and it is the very embodiment of the heart, the soul. Even knowing the flaws, it will forever remain in my heart as well. In my opinion - that is what makes the work a legend. The kindest, most inspiring anime of all time.
