You can argue it’s between that and generations. Personally, I’m going with Unleashed slightly. Then Gens, then between Cyberspace and Colors, and then lastly by a wide margin is Forces.

Reasons why Eggmanland is GOATED: 1. Its Eggmanland 2. It's the most challenging main level in Sonic history, but it's not cheap 3. Switching between Sonic and the Werehog was a really cool mechanic 4. Werehog doesn't have DUN DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN 5. Visually its absolutely incredible 6. The Egg Dragoon boss is so epic 7. Did I mention you get to play through flipping EGGMANLAND?!

As a fan of Sonic Unleashed, I respect that you put Eggmanland top of the list. That final level was peak. It’s so good that I was speed running that level in 14 minutes. Personally I have Skyscraper Scamper, Rooftop Run, and Adabat Day over it but people just need to realize that this level is God Tier.

Eggmanland is GOATED, I like how it incorporates almost everything you've learned in every stage like the bobsleigh from Cool Edge but it's a bit sad there's no water running but that would've also made it overused since 3 stages already have it and 1 is focused around it

Honestly the only redeeming quality of Sweet Mountain Act 4 is a glitch I discovered in the ultimate Version of it: They added a section designed for you to use the ghost wisp, but to get to eat you need to use a hover Wisp. However it’s placed right nearby the trigger for the 3-D automated loop section before would throw you right back into to the controls. So if you carefully hover through the loop you can enter the final section of the stage with 3-D controls in a 2-D space. It’s actually quite amusing. And it’s fun just being to walk around the lasers that would otherwise slow you down. However if the only real enjoyment I can get out of the stage is a glitch, I wouldn’t exactly call that a good thing.

Also even if you fall off the stage and die, when Tails drops you off back on the stage you’ll still have 3-D control.

You can actually beat the stage in less than a minute, without glitches. It still involves using the Ghost Wisp, however I have like 2 speedruns of this level, on my channel, btw (I only played the Ultimate version, btw)

Dang, all those Colors stages being so low hurts me. It’s probably just a me thing, but, man. It shows that the game has a pacing problem, but it never bothered me. I hate that you’re just sharing your opinion, and I’m getting upset by it. Despite that, I still appreciate that went out of your way to rank all these stages, and seeing which game has the best boosting levels. You didn’t even have do this, but you did, and you’re a legend for that. It’s great to know what you think of these stages, even if you’re more critical than I am. Generations Crisis City may be my favorite stage of all time. its so fun. its a challenge, it makes you focus, a banger soundtrack, amazing visuals, unique enemies, awesome final segment where you run towards the tornado as opposed to away from it like in 06, tons of skips, and IT IS AMAZING.

Great video mate Baffles me how so many of Colours’ levels were chopped up into smaller stages because when you play them back to back (I.E Sweet Mountain Act 1 then 2) they play out like legitimate boost stages with reaction based obstacles and different routes At its core, Colours isn’t designed much differently than Unleashed, although toned down a bit for the Wii, but they didn’t allow us to see the effort put into the levels properly

52:12 This is easily the best stage in Gens 3DS just from the Laser Wisp alone. It’s so fun to create some shortcuts with the wisp that are unintended but faster. It’s so fun and satisfying to have a perfect run in the level, especially thanks to the length. But then again, I can see why people would think it’s a bad thing that the level is more fun by going against its design.

I know I’ll get hate for this, but I genuinely don’t get the love for Sonic Rush tbh. It’s a great game, don’t get me wrong, it’s just that I feel the game moves too fast for how much you can see ahead of yourself. You have to memorize the stage rather than be able to react. It’s a problem I have with all the Rush games, but I think because Rush Adventure and Colors are easier but still well designed, I feel like I can have more fun in those stages than the Rush stages.

Although I agree level 3-5 is definitely the worst boost to level, I wouldn’t say it’s the worst sonic level ever made. Don’t get wrong 3-5 is a terrible zone, but I’d say the worst sonic level would have to go to scrambled egg zone. Let’s place ourselves in the mindset of a kid in 1992. Internet walk-throughs aren’t really a thing yet so you’re just playing through this level blind without a guide. You jump through the pipes of the level and then it drops you into a spike pit design in a way in which you can not escape no matter what you do and you will slowly lose your rings and die. And since there is no save state and a very limited amount of lives (and the fact unless you’re doing the good ending this is the last level of the game) it is very possible this single level could destroy your entire play through. and even ignoring that the level is insanely boring and the only thing of semi quality is a Robot Sonic Bossfight (which was actually the first one in the series in terms of release). But even then the Bossfight really isn’t that interesting and the design leaves a bit to be desired. So as bad as 3-5 is, at least it’s relatively forgettable. You simply run to the end, collect the keys you need to get the chaos emeralds and you never play it again. In fact you don’t even have to play the level if you don’t want to (I actually never came across that during my original Play through) so I’d say on that level it’s less fundamentally flawed.

The unwiished day stages are pretty underrated and are actually some times on the same level as some of the unleashed hd levels, here is why i think that: They are good for a diffefent reason, the levels in unleashed hd are built in a way that the only way to get an s rank is to not get hit by any obstacle, on the other hand, unwiished levels are built on mastering the controls, and creating your own shortcuts to speedrun the level, it rewards skill more than memorization, which is a better thing to do imo. I recomend seeing the video "unleashed wii day stage discussion" to see more of what im talking about (btw i don think they are perfect, but are really great). ALSO you can cancel the boost any time with a button press, i forgot what button that was. And you can drift in the slide thing in cool edge, you probably didnt know that and thats why you didnt feel the turning that good.

Planet Wisp Generations would have been D rank for me so I was very shocked 😂 1 because of the 2D feeling long and drawn out and I was never happy about Planet Wisp being the final zone instead of something like Asteroid Coaster

Planet wist Isn't drawn out if you take the higher routes. It takes about three minutes on high routes, and 10 minutes on lower routes. I think you only need 5 minutes for an S rank as less than 4 minutes a high level of skill and some level knowledge.

I'm pretty sure that unleashed still holds top tier. Sonic frontiers focuses on open zone and cyberspace is just a little side thing, and I would probably place the levels between C-B. So unleashed is still the goat🔥

I think Cyberspace is Super fun. I prefer it over Colors slightly and much more than Forces. The movement tech is sick with the homing attack cancel and the rail launching. One of my favorite parts of Frontiers was playing Arcade mode. The only thing I like more than Cyberspace is the open zones. I would say the titan fights, but you can’t go in and fight them again unless you restart the game. There needs to be a mode to fight the titans again. But yeah I think Unleashed still is the best for boost levels. But it’s debatable between that and Generations.

I agree. All the islands are great (yes even Rhea). 1. Ares: 10/10 (this island is based af) 2. Ouranos: 10/10 (very close with Ares for 1st place but Ares has SUMO) 3. Kronos: 9/10 4. Chaos: 8.5/10 (At first I was like “fuck this shit” but it started growing on me and I couldn’t help but keep replaying it and was enjoying myself here) 5. Rhea: 8/10 (I had this higher but like I said Chao grew on me. But this island is great. It provides lore, massive character growth for Sonic, and I love the platforming to get to each tower. Short but probably one of the highlights from Frontiers tbh).

I can already predict Forces levels being at the bottom. Also for me because of the movement tech in Cyberspace, I rank a lot of Frontiers in the upper half. 7:38 As someone who regularly speedruns Colors (Wii), the trick to this stage is to just damage boost through the fire bars. The end section is still pure pain, though. Also, why are you shitting on Colors so much? Sure, Gameland sucks, but the first 12 minutes is almost exclusively Colors. I guess I'd agree if I tried playing for red rings, but I don't I speedrun, and only about 20% of the stages suck, but that's the same with Unleashed HD for me, 20% suck IMO. The Generations simping is palpable, too

Athletics do look nice but that should probably be on a doferent tier list if that where the case since all we care for in this instance is gameplay and gimmicks.
