My top 5 has stayed pretty consistent, but I’d say they’d be Evermore as my favorite (This album changed my life forever and it will always hold a special spot in my heart) Speak Now as second favorite (most nostalgic for me, it was my first Taylor album I bought for myself) Red as my third favorite album (used to get made fun of for liking her during this era, so I’ve revisited Red as an adult and have fallen in love with it) Reputation is my fourth favorite (I was a huge swiftie during the Rep era and was defending her everywhere I went) 1989 is my fifth favorite album (I was 15 when this released and it made me so cheery and was part of the reason high school sucked less)

Nice video, I liked the clips from your friends at the beginning. Yes!! The Speak Now rep! I love that album SO much. Nice sentiments about the Reputation era, it does make me sad that everything was so awful for her for a while but it's nice that people did stand by her. I've been into Debut recently, and it really does blow my mind that she was able to write some of that when she was 12 or 13, like what do you MEAN?? Sorry to give my life story, I feel like a have a lot to talk about🤣Skip to my top 5 if you want. I was always a casual fan of Taylor since Love Story came out, I always loved that song and annoyed everyone around me by constantly playing it haha. I knew of her singles over the years and generally always enjoyed what I heard. So it's the weirdest thing but I never got round to properly checking out her albums, and then one day last December my sister presented Invisible String to me with a "you'll probably like this". Oh boy was she right. I checked out Folklore, fell in love with it and suddenly I had to check out everything that has happened to Taylor in the last 18 years and became a massive fan 🤣 My top 5 albums: 5. Midnights: This actually has more skips than any other album for me, but the highs are amazing. Maroon and WCS are top tier. 4. Folklore: Beautiful mellow sound, amazing poetic lyrics and so many great songs. Invisible String, Betty, Seven. I'm almost inclined to call My Tears Ricochet her most well written song ever. 3. Red: It's kind of surprising I like it as much as I do now, because it wasn't a complete hit for me initially. But the highs are so ridiculously good that it just puts it up there. Songs like State of Grace, Red, All Too Well and the general sound of the album, especially the more rock sounds are perfection. 2. Fearless: This is a work of art and it's no wonder it was such a breakthrough for her. So many beautiful songs, all of her singles were perfect and the re-record of Fearless is some of the most beautiful vocal work she's ever done. Forever and Always piano version?? My god. 1. Speak Now.: This is her perfect album. This seems to be a bit of an unpopular opinion but god, for me there are no skips on this album, every one is just pure gold. The sound of this album is like, specifically, _exactly_ my sound and it penetrates my damn soul man. I really, really want a Taylor rock album, she's so good at it. Timeless might be my favourite love song ever, and my biggest surprise from Taylor.

Everything you said about Midnights resonated A LOT with my feelings! I also didn't expect me to like it THAT much at some point, but it truly grew on me, and currently belongs among my top 5 Taylor albums🦋 I'm also pretty sure that TTPD will be among my top 5 or even top 3 because I just love everything so far - the aesthetic, the sadness, the title track names, the high probability of gut-wrenching lyrics... ♡ My current ranking looks like this: 1. evermore (first album of Taylor that I fell in love with, listened to it start to end and literally only evermore for a whole year -- champagne problems has been my top song for three years now)🤎 2. folklore (was recommended to me by a friend after I told her that the only TS album I listen to and am obsessed with was evermore... Actually, folklore matches my personality the best. But I could never dethrone evermore :')-- I loveee the lakes)🤍 3. speak now (I'm a romantic too, I love to journal, I love the fact that Taylor wrote the whole album herself -- I'm obsessed with Castles Crumbling and Electric Touch)💜 4. Midnights (the first album release I witnessed as a fan, I wasn't sure how to feel about it at first, but the album grew on me a loot since its publication, and definitely always puts me in a good mood -- although I still gravitate toward the sad songs, The Great War and Would've, Could've, Should've are superb)💙 5. reputation (I actually disliked this album the first time I listened to it, but somehow my attitude changed conpletely over the past year... My top 5 before TTPD: Midnights Reputation Red (Taylor's version) Evermore Folklore BUT, all her albums have close meaning to me too! Its so hard to rank albums when they all mean so much in different ways! Some songs on albums that aren't in my top 5, are in my top fave songs! I swear, ranking albums is so hard because as you said, people progress and learn along the way so things change, songwriting change, production changes. All I can say is that I LOVE TAYLOR SWIFT and I LOVE YOU NENA!

You’re absolutely right! Midnights freaking deserves to be up there! All those genius double sided songs that can have a happy or very sad meaning depending how you interpret the lyrics example: all of lavender haze, sweet nothing or snow on the beach 🥺 it’s confused, it’s vague-murky-emotional rollercoaster dark and glittery I love it! You’re on your own kid one of my fav songs ever!~ really great writing on this album even if super pop isn’t really my fav vibe (I prefer the more acoustic sounding toned down songs) ahhh just give me all the sad songs to play on my guitar and cry to! Can’t wait until poets!!!! I have a feeling it’s my vibe too!!! ❤❤❤
