For Halo: Reach, the Blue flames effect was applied to those who were employees or were super lucky to have downloaded the bungee app for a very limited time in 2011. I still have mine in my xbox 360 which is sadly not transferable...

pretty good but i have to disagree with the misty skull placement. that belongs in D tier. if misty skull is only expensive because it's hoarded by whales. it's just a skull png. it looks super out of place. also apparently i got gifted a membership, thank you to whoever did that

As you alluded to a few times, what hat an effect is on matters a lot. Steaming may be a 'low tier' effect, but it looks pretty dope and themed on my legendary lid. I like the older, simpler ones the most. They're a lot easier to work into a themed loadout. Don't think that's the case with all the effects in the Large Object Floating Over Head category. Then it becomes the star of the show rather than part of a cohesive whole.

Personally, all of the newer color vomit effects are lazy/ boring/ mean nothing. I like the the more dull or real effects. Things like the confetti, nuts n bolts, burning flames, etc, are real cool. Watching ur vid has opened my eyes to a few effects, as I usually rank any old the old gens much higher than anything else. Thank you for helping me expand my horizons

I quit trading in 2014 after just getting screwed by the updates. Been soft following the game through KZbinrs until coming back to play in 2018 but no more trading. Interesting to go back and see the 2015 effects onwards as those become pretty forgettable, there are some that stand out that I really like.

i dont understand how the bat effects are tacky. to me they're a very subtle, elegant effect. quite the opposite of garish. they remind me somewhat of the flaming bats from the Zelda series. i absolutely love the trail that they leave behind, too. i just wish the yellow bat was orange instead, and it'd be an S-tier version of orbiting fire. plus then it would combo well with burning flames. kinda crazy to me that those would be tiered together with aces high, of all things. even if the bat effects were 5x as common compared to 3rd gens, I'd still love them infintely more than something like aces high or miami nights. there's quite a few effects I'd disagree with your take on, but, i understand its all just opinion. i appreciate you giving your reasoning for the tier of each effect, although some of the reasons are maybe a bit too brief.

You probably made a lot of traders angry that you put bonzo in D tier hahahha. But I kinda agree, is very silly and the colors are a bit dull. The only thing it has going for it is that it's a very big effect.

I always used to love sunbeams, burning flames and cloudy moon when I first got into the game but after coming back last year and seeing all the effects they added I gotta say I think nebula is the best with frostbite at a very close second. It's really crazy how many gorgeous effects exist that can never be paired with certain hats now though, I find that annoying. Also I had the same exact thoughts when I first saw those starstorm effects, paper mario vibes for sure :]

I think BF is the most overrated (it looks dogshit and you can't really combo it-only with even more expensive effects) of all alongside anti freeze and roboactive. Sulphorous, phosphorous, Death at Dusk, sunbeams (i own one) the ooze (i also own one) and nebula are the ones i adore the most, but overall your tierlist is great.
