besides he gives the factories that are not of the brand. C.P. Company doesn't make it in China but mostly 95% in Italy. And if they make some things in China, factory won't let them in because they have a NDA together.

goretex has a very specific use and hiking brands will focus exactly on the specific use. So some are made for rain or for being light or for getting air out or air in. Gore Tex is ONLY good for strong rain over not too much time moving in the rain. So it wouldn't really make a better or longer lasting material just because it's expensive.

I would love to see something on Superdry. I haven’t combed through your videos yet so hopefully you’ve done them. Seems doubtful though as there seems to be very little about them that’s not surface level. The only reason I like them is they were the first clothing company that I felt I got high quality clothing consistently and at a reasonable price. It would be nice to see behind the scenes.

seconded! Have always been curious how Engineered Garments production works and how much of it is purely in-house. They did move at some point from the Garment District over to Long Island City (when the zip codes on the tags changed). I've heard they use Camber for the Workaday sweats but have no idea about everything else.

Not sure why you were asked to review Julius but I’m pretty sure they produce a portion of their cut & sewn garments inhouse in Japan (hence their need to hire a pattern maker). Their leather jackets are very good quality with unique treatments, especially older models. Mine is over 10 years old, still looks great. Footwear manufactured by a Japanese factory that produces a brand called ‘marchercher’. That’s all I know.

very insightful! thank you for bringing this info to the masses. it would be really interesting to see how mainline luxury brands compare to their diffusion lines, comparing what factories are used and if the quality of those diffusion brands are just as good or lesser. i recently bought some of yohji's diffusion line works from s'yte and while i like it, curious to know if it was worth the price. Thanks!

YES HE DID STONE ISLAND!!! My favorite brand got a huge collection. Just resonates with me, I got lots of pieces and they all are great quality, different countries specialize is different catagories like Vietnam with pants & puffers, China for shells, Romania for nylon metal, Turkey for tees, Tunisia for cotton overshirts and of course Italy for knits and tees aswell. Its amazing how they can maintain such high quality and consistancy throughout so many different factories. I am always impressed super reccomend their clothing, their pieces last many years and are a joy to wear.
