You should do a 4* and below artifacts tier list too. (Though its only a few that are viable at all, but instructors and exile are great)

That's actually an idea I was tossing around. I was kinda on the fence about it, but considering the great feedback I've gotten on this video, it's probably something you can expect in the not-too-distant future.

They shoud've introduced new 3* weapons as other regions were released, with a few different stats and passives to make the game a bit more immersive than finding black tassels all around teyvat, a EM weapon with that silly "15% bonus DMG agains fungi" would come in handy in Sumeru or anything like that

100% agree. This is a point I'll be talking about in the artifact ranking I'm working on, but the pool feels very stale. There haven't been any additions to the low rarity equipment pools since the start of the game, and I think it'd be interesting to see the devs put some of their more "out there" ideas on them, or just add some fun ones to mess around with.

They wouldn't because 3 stars are totally free and some characters can already use 3 stars weapons quite effectively. Adding more 3 stars weapons mean: they are either useless or so nice to use they overshadow 4 stars weapons and even limited 5 stars. Other than that, 3 stars weapons are supposed to be used by new players, if they introduce 3 stars weapons in new regions they would be accessible only to old players who supposedly already have some good weapons

traveler's handy sword actually has a niche use with giving nilou teams more flexibility, nilou already doesnt have many good weapon options, since the only ones that're actually good on her are the currently 2 hp weapons, one of which is an event banner exclusive 4*, and the other is her 5* signature weapon, so if you dont have either of those, the only decentish option she really has is fav for incase anyone in her team has energy issues, but even thats not too good since she wont be built with much crit rate, and not many of her teammates would need the extra energy and nilou's blooms do a lot of self dmg, which basically foces you to need a healer or a shielder, and she only works with hydro and dendro characters, which further limits her options, but if you run her with an r5 traveler's handy sword, and use her on field with enough energy generation, it usually lets you get away without using a healer or shielder on her team if you can dodge attacks decently, which can let you explore other options with her teams

That's a really interesting interaction! I'm all too familiar with the annoying lack of HP swords, but didn't think about how they'd effect the THS. Knowing that, I think it's still at the bottom for only being viable on one character, but it's seriously awesome that it can find a solid use.

Can I just say Xinyan came in damn handy when I fought the Shogun for the first time and she turns off your vision use? Her physical attack was so high, it rivaled some of my character’s skills

as a TRUE off meta player, I diligently still use traveler handy sword even in floor 12 abyss. Helps keep my level 40 alhaitham alive in hyperbloom comp against hard hitting hydro phat assm and also my Nilou literally invincible before that 4* HP sword release. Before those two though, I keep them on my keqing because of how much electro resonance and her cons generates particles and also because I hate bringing barbara in my team (the only healer ive raised at the time). Even these days for exploration, i still use traveler handy sword just for how convenience it is in healing (I have HP OCDs) and for how much it clears up the extra slot (I strictly put whatever I like in my team and very rarely does a healer character fit into my taste) and not requiring me to eat up my finite food stash (im too lazy to collect meat fr). So yeah the only crazy people to still give a sht about 3* weapons doesnt really care about number porn in the first place as opposed to the benefit it provides overall. If u care about stats and stuff, you wouldnt be looking at 3 star weapons in the first place lol (agree to disagree on the first review).

I didn't think of sacrificing the healer slot for the THS, but that's a really interesting way of using it! I really like building support characters, so I always tend to bring a few of them. But for people who don't, it can be a nice way to keep some sustain. I've seen a few comments with fun and creative uses for the THS, and they're super interesting to see. I may not be the biggest fan of the weapon, but it's awesome that people like you are finding fun ways to use it!

This is actually a tier list i can't debate against because I recently started an alt account and these 3*s are genuinely a good contender for best in slot for ar40 and below

A bit sad I didn't see Tighnari mentioned in the slingshot section. The fact that you can only really use him in quicken teams bypasses the negative effect because of spread's additive nature and he can reliably trigger the positive one on the biggest hits he has. It's better for him than any of the 4 star options and competetive with almost every other 5* outside of Hunter's path (his signature weapon). I'd need to check, but other than that, I think only First Great Magic is a worthwhile upgrade from it.

I didn't even think about Tighnari wielding the Slingshot, that's a really cool use of it! I've got Iblis Peircer on mine now, but I should try messing around with that.

I actually really like a lot of the 3 star weapons due to how simple their designs are. Sometimes I just want a basic looking weapon and not a fancy paddle, or black and red sword, or some colorful cosplay prop.

Agreed, some of the 4 and 5 stars just go over the top in their designs. Sometimes less is more.

There are so many op 3 star weapons that are so good, better than many 4* and 5* options. Like ttds is better than many other supporting catalysts and slingshot is better than many 4 star weapons.

There's a 3-star weapon that I found so useful for Albedo, it's the "Harbinger of Dawn", it provide 46.9 Crit DMG at lvl90 and at R5 it adds 28% crit rate if HP above 90%, and since Albedo work as a out-of-field unit, it's so useful, combine that with "Golden Troupe" artifact that increase skill DMG by 70%, even better.

White tassel and slingshot should be higher imo. I’d argue raven bow and cool steel should be a bit higher too since they’re simple but effective weapons (at least for me where I’m at haha) Edit: I lied about cool steel and raven bow. They’re only good on specific set of characters (especially raven bow). They’re fine where they’re at LOL

Oh yeah, upon checking again, I guess he doesn't have anything actually important that scales off that. In my defense, Lyney has so many different scalings going on in his talents that it's hard to tell what's actually useful. It's a whole laundry list of different things in his normal attack alone. But jokes aside, thanks for letting me know about that.

I love seeing the comments that point out weird and niche ways to use weapons. It makes me happy to see the weird and not particularly great weapons get their time in the spotlight, however ridiculous it is.

I feel like you overhyped black tassel, its only really good on zhongli. The polarm healers like yaoyao and mika need there bursts to get most out of there healing so they would be better suited with an er weapon like fav or the new healer polarm whuch gives energy refund through its passive. At the 15:20 mark you mention that it is good on hu tao because of the high hp but I feel like alot of people forget she is an atk scaler who converts her hp to atk so the hp is less valuable when the weapon itself has a low base atk. With the use of the genshin optimizer I get better results with a white tassel because of both the good substat and passive even though it has a low base atk. I forgot about thoma, if you build him in burgeon he needs an er weapon or the Inazuma craftable and if you build him for his sheild he would also need an er weapon because of his high burst cost

Honestly TTDS deserves it's own tier. 48% attack just for swapping is gross for a 3* weapon.

after i got 4 TToDS to R5 3 stars weapons are just disappointing to see 1 early pity amidst the lost 50/50s doesn't heal my heart from the 300 three stars weapons that came before it after a certain point id rather getting Mora or random upgrade materials for weapons or character talents

Black Tassel is great but you dont need that much hp so for most Fav lance would be better.

@@Starman64 Eh I’d still say Fav lance is better on Zhongli as it gives the whole team energy which is better than buffing your shield since it’s already strong. That and I’d say Fav Lance is strictly better than Black tassel on Thoma, Mika, Yao yao, so on so forth since they all have a Burst cost of 80 which Fav offsets with it’s ER substat and the energy it gives to the entire team.

harbinger acually has highest crit value of any sword lofi only has 100 cv its bis for furina and other hp/df scalers there is no way you can compare skyrider to harbinger lol sorry for nitpicking but noblis isnt really close to the best support artifact set Deepwood memories and vv are better

I'm aware of the Qiqi mispronunciation, it's a running joke I have with one of my friends that's just become part of my vocab at this point. I wasn't aware of Xinyan's though. Considering how much I use her, I should at least make sure I'm saying her name right. Thanks for pointing that out!
