too be fair, in the games at least the rpgs, Bowser is goofy at times, and is by far one of the most hot headed characters in the series, I think him being that stays true to his character

I think the only games that portray Bowser as dead serious beginning to end was Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and both of the Super Mario Galaxy games

I think Mario should be in Elite and Peach should be in Solid rank, mainly because like you said Mario was looked down, laughed at, had difficult/impossible odds and yet he never backed down and came on top, isn't that what ELITE HEROES do? And while Peach is shown to be very capable, she gave up after Cranky Kong said "No" to her request while Mario stood up and challenged them, so yeah while Mario had a bit of help and some power ups he was still a bad ass in this movie, never giving up.

Me pissed off because he ranked Bowser low because of his sweet spot for Peach in the movie even though thats EXACTLY how hes protrayed in the games... Should've gotten Elite. Bowser is big, menacing, awesome, a threat, goofy, just as he is in the games. (No hate. Still a good vid tho...)

I get that the "damsel in distress" stereotype is "politically incorrect" and all that, but Princess Peach was a character who was literally designed with that in mind originally. As such, making her such a overpowered girlboss in this movie feels a bit wrong. At the very least, I think they could have toned down her OP'ness during the wedding scene to give the Mario brothers (Luigi in particular) more time to shine. That's really the only major complaint with this movie that I have. And apparently in the first draft Peach was even more of a OP insufferable girlboss before Nintendo made them do a rewrite, so I'm thankful for that at least.

I think a good characteristic of a villain, especially in a kids movie, is that they show a weakness that’ll be essential to exploit in order to defeat them. Docking Bowser because of having that exact setup is something I can’t agree with. Plus, he would’ve been extremely one-note and perhaps bland if they just made him serious the whole time. Bowser’s portrayal was elite.

Bowser's ranking seems way too low. Solid portrayal, at least. Mario Sunshine, any and every Mario RPG (especially Super Paper Mario), a little bit of Mario 64, Mario Odyssey; there are plenty of sources of Bowser being just as silly as he is menacing, and I think the movie captured that perfectly, beginning to end.

Also it’s kinda accurate how easily Bowser can conquer a majority of the universe if it wasn’t for his obsession with Peach. Super Mario Galaxy is the best example: he takes over most of the universe before kidnapping Peach and having Mario chase him down. If he just left the girl alone, he’d have an easy time as a conqueror.

Nah Bowser should've gotten elite. Bowser is mainly portrayed as both goofy and serious at the same time. It's his entire character. My only little thing against him is that he is a bit more hositle towards his troops (he even burned a Koopa turning him into a Dry Bones) but I do still feel his character is spot on.

It's kinda a shame Mario and Donkey Kong couldn't form a somewhat meaningful bond in this movie, they can still have a fun rivalry but I would've put a part where they become slightly closer after Bowser's defeated that way Donkey Kong can still basically tell Mario "Your dad was right about you, you are a loser." While also showing gratitude for saving his life and everyone in both Brooklyn and his own world. Remember we still need to leave plenty of room for them to grow since this is gonna be a franchise. They can't become too close of friends after all.

I just got back from watching it. It is absolutely fantastic. Would definitely recommend it and sonic 3 is the best of the trilogy hands-down and shadow and robotnik is the highlight and the third act is absolutely phenomenal especially those last 30 minutes and the action was also really good and sonic and shadows dynamic was also really well done. The was acting was really great as well so overall everything that was good about the first two is multiplied by 100.

Bowser deserved elite He is a super intimidating guy with a soft side and that comes from love making him a much more memorable villain he knows he can kill everyone and vaporise anything but he allows his heart to also have a chance That’s a good villain someone terrifying yet relatable

Sonic 1 was a good start. Sonic 2 was great but they kind of ruined it with the wedding part, it was unnecessary. Sonic 3 my goodness it blew me away, it's the best one of the three. I say Mario is better than Sonic 1 and 2, but Sonic 3 is a bit better than Mario, although it is a bit unfair to compare ONE Mario movie vs 3 Sonic movies, of course Sonic is going to look better.

Honestly, I enjoy this movie. I really did. I remember going to the movie theater, and I loved it. I loved it so much. I watched it every Friday. And I recently just watched it yesterday. I always watch it whenever there's a new Mario game out. But anyways, I enjoyed this movie so much. I gave it. Instead of a ten out of ten I gave it a hundred out of one hundred for my love to mario series and my childhood

The first movie was awful and boring. As it had no saving peach/princess story. I like peach better as a damsel in distress, And not as an independent warrior Princess boss girl. She’s the worst Mario movie character and should be deemed worthless instead of elite. She’s not that strong and she’s not a good planner. Chris pratts character was boring too. Luigi should have gotten more screen time and be a hero. As for bowser if he is coming back in the sequel make him more eviler! Cause that wasn’t enough evil!
