Thanks for the Coach mention. Although I love and admire luxury bags, I choose not to spend thousands on a handbag. For me, contemporary designers such as Coach afford me the opportunity to buy quality items at a more reasonable price point. I appreciate when these bags are mentioned in a complimentary way. Please continue to highlight them whenever possible. They do have a substantial following. Great review, btw... Great topic!

Susan M - Me Too!!!! I’m a Coach (and even cheaper - Rebecca Minkoff) gal all the way! Some of the larger Coach bags are absolutely stunning and the quality is beyond excellent (IMHO). I still love these videos and admire designer bags but I just can’t bring myself to plunk down that amount of cash. Lol 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have been a Coach fan for years. I even have some outlet Coach that I like. I'm not sure I would buy her bags even if I could afford them but I have to admit they are nice bags. People think I'm crazy spending money on a Coach bag but I really like them. I have several styles and colors and change them depending on the season and my mood. I have to wear a uniform to work everyday so a nice bag is something I get to choose and enjoy.

Honestly, I didn’t become such a big follower of Shea’s channel due to the luxury handbags, I still watch the videos because I just love watching Shea (she’s great 💕), but these videos have taught me so much about luxury brands and handbag types and things that luxury brand lovers care about and I now have a new topic to bring up at work when I come across a women with a designer bag. Before I never would have known who it was by or what bag it was, but after Shea Whitney I can call out a good amount of bags and impress quite a bit of my customer 😏 However, I occasionally question if I should watch these videos because I get way too tempted to purchase her suggestions haha

So... I knew the antigona would be low on the list because I had the same issues you're experiencing and I think just about everyone else that has the bag has dealt with them. It does get MUCH MUCH better. Keep using it, possibly stuff the bag between the handles or just randomly stretch it open every once in a while. The leather gets softer, the zipper gets smoother, the "teeth" get duller. Took me a few weeks but now it's an absolute fav. xx

I think there was a 2-3 year period where the Pochette Métis being manufactured were flawed.....ie. glazing problems. As far as I know they are still making them and in the last few years the bags haven’t had any issues.

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *amzrepe* . Love this visit of bags… I did purchase the givenchy antigonia and feel the shape is what sold me on it because I like speeds so much… however it’s a heavy hitter bag … to me it’s a serious bag in black… funeral, office, a serious classic black bag. So if that’s your purpose for sure get it and love it. Heavier than Louise vuitton and very well made. I’d lean towards saying basic closet necessity. It’s a favorite for me. Pouchette metis I have a love hate relationship there bc you’re right … most anything monogram says casual but in black leather empriante the metis is a home run filling in all the boxes and blk elevates the whole look. Best reguards!

I have several lamb skin Chanel. I understand your concern, I usually condition it after I use it for about two weeks. The leather conditioner I use is French made, very very good. The best I used. Saphire man’s renovator jar 1925.

So agree, that while Coach doesn’t have the prestige of luxury brands (I do enjoy a luxury bag, still can’t explain it, but everyone here gets it) the quality (leather, hardware, and craftsmanship) is really really good. I bought a brown Coach Drs Bag for my first briefcase 20 plus years ago and it is still classic and beautiful. A couple other pieces have been bought over the years and I’ve not seen a decline at all. Unlike so many other brands with much higher price points that let their name and “desire” factor drive the price up as the quality goes down.
