I usually agree with Professor Lando, but this time I disagree with 2B being a bad waifu, I believe that androids can really have souls. And I don't mean this in a religious way, but in the sense that they can become sentient and conscious just like a human being. Which means that the emotions that the androids shows are real, is not like one of those children dolls that are programmed to emit a crying sound when you hit them or something like that. If a human brain can develop consciousness, then physically speaking there's no contradiction that an android can also develop an emergent sentience when a neural network is complexed enough. When 2B killed 9S, is not like she only cared about the greater good of humanity, she literally cried when she killed him multiple times. Even though, her priority was to protect human kind. Also, the longevity part can be solved by prolonging the human life as much as the robot (like a cure for aging or transfer your consciousness to an android).

This ALSO means that while we haven't seen their grown up sprites they have grown up 1, 2 I highly doubt gamefreak will ever show them to us, and 3... honestly who knows how they'd look. Lusamine is older than 40, but looks in her 20s or early 30s, Cynthia same but could be like 22, same with her ancestor Cogita, for all we know they age like One Piece characters living twice the length humans do irl. So I won't judge people if one of those are their waifus... Lillie on the other hand, Gloria from SwSh ulll yeah find another waifu, not judging but others might not be as nice.
