I admire Maven's approach in his videos, especially how he reflects on his past with genuine fondness. It's refreshing to see someone from the wrestling world who isn't harboring bitterness or resentment towards the industry or his colleagues. Wishing you continued success and fulfillment in all your endeavors.

Went to a school when I was 19, made it about a month before I woke up one morning and was so sore I couldn't get myself out of bed. You have to remember this was before the days of CTE or to at least having the knowledge they do now. Only the strong survive and paying dues is weeding out the weak from the strong. At the end of the day you being on that card is taking away a payday from another perhaps more deserving worker and testing them is a way of finding out whether or not they deserve that spot and if they can hang in the big leagues.

Got so much respect for you bro. I watched your entire career through Tough Enough, and watching you evolve into the business was a pleasure. You're showing a really different side of the business, and you present it so well. And the way you emphasize how important those Bob Holly matches were to you is simply impressive. Growing up and watching Bob, he always put his all into every move, and it looked like everything he did stung so bad. I didn't know you worked so many road shows with him, and that just makes me appreciate you more. If people don't understand how brutal that must've been, they haven't heard enough about Bob and the ways that he worked in the ring. Good shit man, you really did it, and you honestly deserve a movie or something to tell your story.

The last two weren’t in general, it’s not like Mave did anything wrong. They’re just taking liberties with the new guy for…reasons? There’s a way to teach new guys lessons without bashing their brains in or risk snapping a vertebrae. Very glad the business is a lot different today.

I'm surprised it was the Walls of Jericho that was the worst but, by your excellent description, I guessed correctly and giggled when the Bob Holly receipt came up! Again suprised it wasn't the Alabama Slam because that always looks brutal to take, but yeah even a clothesline off an angry Bob is probably rough and not "fake" . Love your descriptive diction, smooth talking and excellent explanation Maven, fast becoming a favourite channel, my man.👌

I was born in ‘89, loved WWF/WWE as a kid, watched it for a few years, maybe between 1999-2003 or so. But as I got into my teens my interests changed. Now it’s been almost 20 years since I watched wrestling, but I’ve been on a KZbin binge, watching all the episodes and top moments from those years. Good stuff, Maven! I vaguely remember you. I didn’t really follow much of what you did but I think that you were better than advertised and have come to find a great appreciation for what you’re doing now. Would be cool if you had the chance to get involved again. I don’t know how you’d feel about any in-ring stuff these days, but I think you’re a heck of a showman and with all the programming and content WWE puts out that you would do a very good job of something on screen or as an announcer. Keep up the good stuff on KZbin Maven, I’ll be along for the ride.
