look, im not the biggest fan of Outer Banks, but I LOVE JJ, he was definitely the most interesting character and my favorite (behind Cleo and Pope). Plus, JJ's backstory and homelife was so heartbreaking. And also, if it wasn't for JJ pushing the Pogues to investigate, the entire plot wouldn't have happened. If it wasn't for JJ, they would have never searched that boat, found that compass, gotten chased by guys with guns, and yada yada yada...in my mind, he's the real main character

I think people are only saying that because we are so "used" to Sarah and John B that we forget to appreciate them and see what they actually do for the show. Their romance is literally what keeps this whole show together. They are THE connection between the kooks and the pogues. Without them, everything would fall out of place. And they were the reason the show got so unique and good in the first place and people were hyped about it. And they _still are_ the reason this show is so unique but we got so used to them that we forget to see that. For example JJ and Kie is just overrated at this point. And if they weren't together, nothing would change. They aren't necessary in order for the show to be good. And besides the relationships, JJ is in no way better than John B, sorry :/ They both have this chill, broke surfer vibe. But JJ just acts absolutely dumb and makes stupid decisions all the time. And that's also important for the plot of the show, absolutely, but that doesn't mean it's a good character trait. Whereas John B is kind of like JJ but more mature, protective and sweet. He's like the better version of JJ on a character level. And I don't get why people hype a person that so often doesn't really think 2 steps ahead so much. With Pope, I do agree, his storyline was (especially the last seasons) absolutely important and central elements of the show. :)

I loved Amy (S3x Ed) and she really grew as a character, especially after the SA episode. Jackson is fine af, so of course he's solid! lol I like Canaan and he's definitely solid. I'm not sure who I wanted him to end up with. (And actually I haven't yet watched the S2 finale, but I don't mind any spoilers) I like that Jocelyn has more on-screen time in S2. She definitely adds to the cast. Leela is great! I loooove Elle, Tao, Darcy, Tara. They're nearly main characters. Malachi's character deserved better. Quinny rocks. I agree about Max. S2 was not her season.

Sadie Sink is my favorite actress for a reason. When I say that girl can act I MEAN it. Her acting in the All Too Well Short Film? Impeccable. She improvised most of it too. Stranger Things? She was the only one I payed attention to. The Whale? She made her character multi-dimensional when her lines were mostly insults. She acts through her eyes and she puts EVERYTHING into her projects.
